Chapter 13

“Not good, it’s the bandits nearby. Let’s go quickly…” Andy Warren saw those bandits and immediately became flustered, pulling Brian White in an attempt to leave faster.

Unfortunately, the bandits had already spotted them, and three of them were riding their horses straight toward them.

Brian White furrowed his brows and said to Andy Warren beside him, “Step back a bit.”

“Brother Bai, what are you trying to do?” Andy Warren was so scared his legs went weak. Seeing the bandits charging, he didn’t even know to dodge.

Brian White pushed Andy Warren aside and faced the oncoming bandits without a trace of panic.

The strength and speed of these bandits were not even as good as those wild wolves.

These bandits looked fierce, but that didn’t mean they weren’t afraid of death. The only way was to outdo them in ferocity.

If they wanted to be fierce, then Brian White would be even fiercer and more ruthless!

Brian White took a few strides forward, spread his arms, and grabbed the head of the charging horse, pressing down hard.

The entire horse instantly lost its balance, and the bandit was thrown violently to the ground.

Looking at the horse again, its neck had been snapped by Brian White’s bear hug.

Andy Warren was dumbfounded. The force of the bandit charging on horseback was at least a thousand pounds, yet Brian White had stopped it head-on and even snapped the horse’s neck in the process.

The two bandits following behind immediately stopped their charge. They exchanged glances and saw the terror in each other’s eyes.

What terrifying strength!

Is this even human?

At that moment, the bandit leader in the rear shouted loudly, “Kill him for me!”

Brian White looked over and saw that the bandit leader was tall and burly, not inferior to Yuanlong, and carried a fierce aura with a face full of beard.

Several men and women from the caravan were surrounded by bandits. Brian White steeled his heart, grabbed a fallen weapon from the ground, and instead of retreating, charged forward.

The two bandits blocking the way hadn’t recovered yet when Brian White struck them down with a blade each, one on the left and one on the right, knocking them off their horses.

Brian White didn’t pause but charged straight at the bandits.

“Impressive!” the bandit leader shouted, raising his blade to meet Brian White.

When Brian White was still three to five zhang away from the bandit leader, he suddenly leapt high into the air, his whole body soaring.

Everyone’s gaze was drawn to Brian White. Though not particularly tall, his body exuded a suffocating sense of oppression.

“What… what is he trying to do?”

The bandit leader, sharp-eyed, hadn’t seen clearly the earlier fight between his men and Brian White from a distance, but now he gasped in shock.

This was no ordinary pushover—he was clearly a martial arts expert!

In an instant, his momentum faltered, and he was filled with dread, raising his blade to block above his head.

Brian White came crashing down like a thunderbolt, and the blade raised above the bandit leader’s head fell with it.

Swish—

Blood splattered everywhere. The bandit leader stood frozen in place, still maintaining his original posture. The broadsword in his hand had been cut in two, and his face was split open by the blade.

All of this happened in the blink of an eye. Everyone stared at Brian White in disbelief.

Chapter 7: Punishing Evil and Promoting Good to Accumulate Merit

A single move to kill the bandit leader!

Andy Warren was stunned, as were the people trapped in the caravan.

Even the remaining bandits stared blankly at Brian White, their hearts filled with shock.

Is this even human?

“Run!” All the bandits snapped out of it at once.

“This guy’s a monster—no matter how many lives you have, it’s not enough to die here…”

All the bandits scattered in panic, but Brian White was overjoyed inside, not caring at all about where the bandits went.

Rescued 16 people, gained 160 merit points. Protected the caravan with no casualties, rewarded with 100 merit points.

Killed 2 evildoers, gained 20 merit points.

Killed 1 major evildoer, gained 100 merit points.

Just like that, in a few moves, Brian White had already earned 362 merit points—this was a huge profit.

At this moment, a tall, thin middle-aged man with a small mustache and a shrewd look walked over from the caravan.

“Thank you, young master, for saving us. I am Frank Bolton from Qingshui Town. May I ask your esteemed name and which sect you hail from?”

Frank Bolton was a shrewd man. What’s most important when doing business on the road?

Naturally, it’s connections. Being able to befriend such an expert would surely make future journeys much smoother.

“Wuliang Sect, Brian White.”

“Wuliang Sect?” Frank Bolton hadn’t met many people from the martial world, so he looked confused.

A young woman beside Frank Bolton immediately showed a hint of disdain on her face. “So you’re from the Wuliang Sect? That rundown sect—what kind of experts could it possibly have? Dad, I bet he just happened to kill those bandits by luck.”

“Nonsense!” Although Frank Bolton didn’t know martial arts, that didn’t mean he lacked judgment. If nothing else, being able to stop a charging horse with brute force and kill the bandit leader in a single move—such strength was right there for all to see, how could it be fake?

“Master Bai, I apologize. My daughter is young and ignorant, and her words were out of line. Please forgive her.”

“Dad, it’s just the Wuliang Sect. It’s been in decline for decades, and even the sect gate has been torn down. What kind of experts could come from there?” The young woman still didn’t care. “I think he just has some brute strength. His skills are nothing more than third-rate. Any of my senior brothers could easily beat him to a pulp.”

Frank Bolton felt a headache coming on. Ever since his daughter Claire Bolton joined Shanxing Sect, she had become more and more arrogant, looking down on everyone.
