Chapter 11

Ethan Clark wiped the still-unbent blade of his sword on a corpse.

It was over.

He turned, left the room, and stepped into the rain.

At the same time, he took out his phone and dialed a landline number.

"This is..."

"The Martial Arts Association."

Ethan Clark turned his head, looking at the main hall of Longspring Hall stained red with blood: "Come clean up."

Chapter 5: Equivalent Retaliation

Ethan Clark hung up the phone.

He turned back and went to the backyard.

Seemingly having heard something, the lights in the main building of Brian Foster's courtyard went out, and the doors and windows were tightly shut.

Ethan Clark glanced over, got into William Harris's car, and drove out of the courtyard.

After leaving, he took out his own phone and made a call.

Because it was very late, the phone rang for quite a while before it was answered.

Before the other side could speak, Ethan Clark said first, "Master Carter, do you want to buy Tiandao Sword Sect for ten million?"

"Ten million!?"

The previously annoyed, sleepy tone on the other end was immediately replaced by shock.

"I'll be at Skywind Martial Arts School in half an hour. Let's talk."

"Alright."

After a brief conversation, Ethan Clark hung up, returned to the Challenger Internet Café, and gathered what he needed.

At the entrance of the internet café, he switched to Brian Foster's car and drove toward Skywind Martial Arts School on the other side of the city.

The rain gradually lessened.

There seemed to be a fresh, earthy scent in the air.

In the early hours, traffic was sparse and the road was clear. In less than half an hour, Ethan Clark had already arrived outside Skywind Martial Arts School.

As one of the nine major martial arts forces, Brian Foster's car arriving at Skywind Martial Arts School quickly drew the attention of the disciples on duty.

When Ethan Clark drove into the courtyard, Jason Carter, the head of Skywind Martial Arts School, his second disciple Matthew Wright, and two other disciples surrounded the car.

But when they saw Ethan Clark get out, their expressions showed some surprise.

"The son of Sect Master Chris Clark, Ethan Clark?"

"That's me."

Ethan Clark nodded. "I've made an appointment with Master Carter."

Matthew Wright glanced at Brian Foster's car. Considering that Skywind Martial Arts School was their own territory, he still nodded.

He led Ethan Clark to the VIP reception room of Skywind Martial Arts School.

The VIP room was tastefully decorated: tea table, wooden chairs, calligraphy and paintings, all with a classic, elegant style.

Inside, a man in his fifties, dressed in a Tang suit and exuding an extraordinary aura, Jason Carter, was calmly sipping tea.

"Master, Ethan Clark is here."

A knock sounded at the door.

"Come in."

Jason Carter spoke.

The door opened, and Matthew Wright gestured for Ethan Clark to enter.

Ethan Clark looked at his own somewhat damp clothes, still considering whether to go in, but Jason Carter's gaze had already fallen on him.

"The smell of blood."

He looked at Ethan Clark, a bit surprised, even shocked: "You killed someone!?"

"Yes."

Ethan Clark nodded.

At the side, Matthew Wright's gaze immediately became more serious.

He added, "Master, he came in Brian Foster's car."

Brian Foster!

Jason Carter looked at Ethan Clark, then at the cloth bag he was carrying.

Finally...

"Sit."

Jason Carter was an old friend of Chris Clark, with over ten years of friendship.

But friendship was one thing.

Jason Carter was willing to help with small favors, but it was impossible for him to go head-to-head with Brian Foster for Chris Clark's sake.

Ethan Clark had already realized this half a month ago when he visited to ask for his help.

"Ten million, sell Tiandao Sword Sect."

Jason Carter held his tea, blowing on the steam: "What do you want?"

Matthew Wright originally wanted to remind him that Longspring Hall already considered Tiandao Sword Sect as theirs, and whoever took it would be making an enemy of Longspring Hall; Tiandao Sword Sect was a hot potato.

But, what he could think of, his master surely had as well, so he didn't speak.

Ethan Clark said nothing. After sitting down in front of Jason Carter, he placed the bag he was carrying in front of him.

He first took out a box, which contained the Tiandao Sword Sect's certificate of authentication and property certificate.

Seeing these two documents, both Jason Carter and Matthew Wright were visibly moved.

Some inappropriate thoughts arose in their minds.

"The biggest problem with Tiandao Sword Sect is Longspring Hall."

Ethan Clark, seemingly oblivious to the subtle change in atmosphere, continued to pull out a red plastic grocery bag from the cloth bag: "But now... Longspring Hall is gone."

"Hmm!?"

Jason Carter, who was sipping tea, looked up.

Longspring Hall is gone!?

What does it mean that Longspring Hall is gone?

The next second, his gaze suddenly fixed on the plastic bag Ethan Clark had taken out.

Because the bag was red, he hadn't seen clearly at first, but inside the bag was—

A severed head!

Brian Foster's head!?

"This is!?"

Jason Carter's body trembled, unable to maintain his calm and composed demeanor. His hand shook, spilling hot tea onto his pants and the floor, making him shiver.

The scene became chaotic.

Matthew Wright couldn't help but exclaim, "Master, it's... it's Brian Foster!"

"I know!"

Jason Carter snapped back irritably.
