Chapter 1: The Awakened Supreme
“My son, my good child, wake up—”
In a haze, a familiar voice sounded by his ear, filled with urgency and worry, calling out to his sleeping self again and again, pulling Ethan Brooks back from the deepest depths of consciousness.
After a long while, Ethan Brooks finally awakened from his dazed state. The moment he opened his eyes, the light was blinding, and it took him a while to adjust.
He felt himself lying on a large, soft, and comfortable bed. Beside the bed sat a beautiful, elegant woman, her skin fair and delicate, hair styled in a bun, dressed in luxurious clothes, dignified and graceful—a noble lady from a wealthy family.
The beautiful woman’s eyes were brimming with tears as she held his hand, weeping silently from time to time, earnestly calling his name, her voice tinged with sorrow and pain.
Not far away stood a young maid of about fourteen or fifteen, as lovely as a flower, with rosy lips and white teeth. Her well-fitted clothes outlined a few alluring curves on her precociously developed figure—a delicate little beauty, anxiously watching Ethan Brooks on the bed.
She blinked her big, clear eyes, and when she suddenly saw the young master, who had been unconscious for so long, finally open his eyes, she was overjoyed, waving her hands excitedly and calling out repeatedly, “Madam, look, young master is awake! Young master is awake!”
Hearing the maid’s cry, the beautiful woman hurriedly looked over. Seeing it was true, tears streamed down her beautiful eyes, but this time from joy as she sobbed, “Chen’er, you’re awake?”
Isn’t that obvious?
Lying on the bed, Ethan Brooks couldn’t help but smile wryly, but seeing the caring and hopeful look in his mother’s eyes, his heart softened. He replied weakly, “Mother, I’m awake. Don’t worry, I’m fine, really. I’m just a bit weak.”
But upon hearing this, the beautiful woman only wept more, then rushed out, leaving behind a sentence: “Wait here, I’ll go get your father to come see you.”
Ethan Brooks wanted to refuse, but his mother had already rushed out before he could stop her, so he had no choice but to give up.
“In this life, I have finally been reborn as a human!”
The young man’s lips moved slightly as he murmured to himself.
At this moment, countless memories surged in his mind, pouring forth from the deepest recesses, leaving him momentarily confused. After a while, he finally understood everything.
“I am Lucas Clark, a supreme youth of my generation, one of the strongest among the young!”
Ethan Brooks comprehended his past and present lives, understanding it all.
In his previous life, he was infinitely glorious, his talent unmatched in the world—a peerless young supreme, forging ahead on the path to becoming a great emperor, competing with the strongest young prodigies across the myriad realms for the position of ruler of heaven and earth—the Human Emperor!
Before losing his memory, he was the unrivaled figure of an era, causing countless prodigies across the realms to pale in comparison, able only to look up to him as one would to a towering mountain, insurmountable.
He could contend with the most terrifying enemies on the path to becoming the Human Emperor, drawing the attention of all generations, hailed as one of the prodigies most likely to become the Human Emperor.
Likewise, he was the ruler of a great world’s minor divine realm, the supreme lord of a divine nation, commanding billions of beings—what majesty and glory, his brilliance illuminating the myriad realms, unmatched by any.
But alas, heaven is jealous of talent. When he broke through to a higher realm, he unfortunately encountered the most terrifying supreme tribulation in the world. Two great tribulations struck at once, and even incarnations of the heavens—Cangtian, Qingtian, Huangtian, and Youmingtian—appeared during the tribulation, bringing forth an unprecedented forbidden heavenly calamity.
It was the most terrifying tribulation in existence, capable of annihilating everything.
Moreover, back then, Lucas Clark was too powerful, suppressing so many young talents across the realms that none could lift their heads, his brilliance dazzling through the ages.
All his great enemies were unwilling to see him grow stronger, fearing he would one day truly become the ruler of all realms, the Human Emperor. During his tribulation, they fanned the flames, risking the deadly danger of heavenly punishment to strike at him, ultimately paying a heavy price and leaving him gravely wounded and near death.
In the end, due to sealing a great evil at the imperial pass, he was forcibly sacrificed by seven ancient mighty beings working together.
His kingly friends of old learned of this too late and were unable to help in time. Lucas Clark ultimately fell with regret.
Yet, by a stroke of fate, a sliver of life remained, and in the end, he was reincarnated, retaining all the memories of his past life.
Ethan Brooks sighed softly. In this life, he was already sixteen years old.
The little maid came to the bedside. Seeing the young master awake, she too cried with joy, her big eyes red as she choked out, “Young master, you’re finally awake. If you hadn’t woken up, master and madam would have gone mad with worry.”
