Chapter 15

“Help! A mouse! There’s a mouse!” That despicable Charles Carter ran out in terror, and with two screams, Big Guy tumbled headfirst into the water.

Scrambling and crawling toward those two irresistibly alluring bodies, the flesh on Big Guy’s face quivered, his eyes sparkled, and drool streamed down his chin. The two female soldiers barely had time to instinctively cover their most private parts before the lightning-fast Big Guy charged up. This scoundrel dove straight into Olivia Bennett’s arms, while his other hand grabbed Emily Carter’s perky, fragrant buttocks. While taking full advantage of this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity, he wailed like a frightened child, “A mouse, there’s a mouse chasing me!”

“Smack!”

“Smack!”

Two slaps landed on Big Guy’s face, one from the left and one from the right, almost simultaneously.

Olivia Bennett and Emily Carter, both embarrassed and furious, didn’t care about their exposed bodies and unleashed a flurry of punches and kicks.

Pressed between the two women’s flying fists, Big Guy—his rough skin and thick flesh—cried out “Ouch! Ouch!” as he watched those smooth, jade-like breasts bounce with their movements, secretly overjoyed.

When the three of them returned to the jungle, Big Guy walked in front, carrying several fish he’d caught from the lake, looking completely nonchalant, as if the person who’d just been peeping and beaten had nothing to do with him. The two female soldiers glared fiercely at this shameless scoundrel, their faces flushed. They exchanged a quick glance and then looked away, both embarrassed and annoyed, with a hint of some other feeling. Good grief, how could there be such an infuriating Big Guy in the world?

After eating some fish, the three continued on their way. According to the mech radar, there were no signs of Gacharin Empire mechs in the area. After all, to the north, the land was all mountains, unlike the agricultural population distribution of ancient Earth or other immigrant planets—these areas were completely uninhabited.

The material and economic resources required for space warfare are impossible to obtain outside the cities. Fighting guerrilla warfare on the planet’s surface is suicide. If all the cities on this planet were completely controlled, with no material supply, no ammunition replenishment, no personnel reinforcements, and no air support or mobility, how could anyone outrun the air force’s powerful aerial reconnaissance with just legs or mechs on the ground? Around cities with established defensive systems, any guerrilla team approaching would be doomed. If they don’t approach the cities or attack the enemy, and with no rural areas on immigrant planets, what use is a guerrilla team? So, guerrilla warfare from ancient times has become merely a tactic for certain space pirates.

Carefully choosing their route, William Carter piloted his mech, winding through the jungle. After modifications, this already highly capable all-terrain single-soldier mech now had even greater wilderness mobility. Places that were previously inaccessible with just two mechanical legs were now no problem at all with the help of six additional mechanical legs and jet propulsion.

After crossing several mountain ranges to the north and confirming they had avoided the Gacharin Empire’s giant transport ship landing base, William Carter began heading east.

Relying on the skills honed in the scout training camp and his natural sharp instincts, two weeks later, William Carter had miraculously led Olivia Bennett and Emily Carter through the gaps between several battle zones, traveling thousands of kilometers as if on a scenic tour.

By the time the large block of compressed solid energy stored in the mech was nearly depleted, the three had reached the outskirts of the Three Lakes Plain, where the capital of Milok Star, Galiparan, was located.

……

Due to insufficient troops, the Gacharin Empire did not launch an attack on the heavily fortified Galiparan, only stationing security forces several hundred kilometers outside the Three Lakes Basin.

Ahead was the Federation’s defensive zone. To avoid being shot by Federation soldiers, Big Guy, still wearing his Imperial Army uniform, once again began undressing without warning—but this time, he kept his underwear on.

The two female soldiers had completely lost faith in this shameless scoundrel. Although they tried to act indifferent, Big Guy sneakily covered himself, as if exposing his flesh for them to see was a huge loss. This made Olivia Bennett and Emily Carter feel utterly exasperated, their heads aching, and made them want to kill him.

A patrol squad from the 109th Armored Division of the Lelei Federation Army, stationed outside the basin, soon spotted this odd group led by a white Big Guy wearing only underwear.

Even though he’d taken off his clothes, the underwear Big Guy wore was still standard issue for the Gacharin Empire Army, complete with the black angry bear insignia.

As the Federation patrol approached cautiously, Big Guy, holding only a mechanic’s robotic arm, didn’t notice that behind him, the two female soldiers—fed up with this shameless scoundrel—secretly set him up.

From a distance, to avoid accidental injury, Big Guy raised both hands high. Emily Carter, holding her modified gun, struck a pose as if escorting a prisoner.

Facing the muzzles of the wary Federation soldiers, Big Guy stood trembling with his hands up, not daring to breathe, terrified that any movement might be misunderstood and get him shot—what an unjust way to die that would be.

After a few whispered words from Olivia Bennett, the squad leader ordered his men to escort the Imperial Army prisoner William Carter back to camp.

Utterly bewildered, William Carter had just lowered his hands to explain when an automatic energy rifle was pressed against his back, scaring him into quickly raising his hands again.
