Chapter 001: The Mysterious Seeds (Part 1)

In a small teahouse by the street, the disheveled David Brooks sat at the table, drenched in cold sweat. The fair and delicate face of the young man looked somewhat stern due to its pallor.

The teahouse owner recognized him as the only son of one of the county's "Three Heroes," Mr. Brooks, the Boss, and the notorious The Eldest Young Master of the Brooks Family who ran rampant in the countryside. He had just turned thirteen this year; in another couple of years, he would surely be "bullying men and women" as well.

Usually, David Brooks would swagger in and out of the most expensive teahouses in town with a gang of thugs in tow. Why would he show up at this humble little teahouse today? His place was just a rest stop for itinerant laborers.

Cautiously, he placed a bowl of tea on the table in front of David Brooks: "Young Master Brooks, here is the tea you asked for. This is the best tea I have." He paused, then quickly added, "Rest assured, the tea bowl was just washed—absolutely clean."

David Brooks waved his hand impatiently, and the owner hurried away.

He picked up the tea bowl and gulped it down, not caring whether it was good or bad, hot or cold. Only after a long moment did he let out a deep breath, still shaken, and muttered, "That scared the hell out of me!"

Two hours earlier, David Brooks, standing on the shoulders of his two loyal lackeys, John Brooks and William Brooks, had been peeping at the female students of the county academy bathing. Satisfied, he headed home, only to be ambushed on the way. When he woke up, he found himself face-to-face with his father's old rival, also one of Qiyin County's "Three Heroes," Mrs. Harris.

He thought Mrs. Harris would use him against his father, but things went completely off script—Mrs. Harris actually tried to rape him!

David Brooks was dumbfounded on the spot. By the time he came to his senses, his pants had already been yanked off by Mrs. Harris.

To be fair, Mrs. Harris was known as the most beautiful woman in Qiyin County, petite and curvaceous, her looks enough to topple kingdoms. In her early thirties, she was like a ripe peach. David Brooks had often fantasized about her during his mischievous moments.

But! That didn't mean he wanted to be raped by Mrs. Harris. Even in his fantasies, he was the one overpowering Mrs. Harris—a young master should be in charge of his own chastity! What kind of man gets raped by a woman?

David Brooks couldn't stand it and resisted on the spot. Mrs. Harris was petite, and though David Brooks was only thirteen, he was tall for his age. Dealing with a woman like her should have been easy, right?

Yet things still didn't go his way. Mrs. Harris turned out to be a mid-stage Yuanqi Realm cultivator. She subdued David Brooks with ease, tossed him onto a soft bed, and force-fed him a bowl of aphrodisiac.

Even now, recalling the smug, wanton smile on Mrs. Harris's face, David Brooks couldn't help but shudder all over.

Fortunately, as the The Eldest Young Master of the Brooks Family, he wasn't just good at fighting—he was also cunning. He pretended the aphrodisiac had taken effect, feigning confusion and desire, which fooled Mrs. Harris and made her let her guard down. Just then, her lair was suddenly attacked by unknown enemies, forcing her to lock David Brooks up and go out to deal with them. That was how David Brooks managed to escape in the chaos.

Luckily, Mrs. Harris's aphrodisiac was just for fun. If it had been something truly potent, David Brooks might have died from burning desire.

He finished the bowl of tea and finally let out a long breath. "It's all this Emperor Ying bloodline's fault!"

"Young master!" Suddenly, a shout rang out. John Brooks and William Brooks, his two lackeys, arrived with over a dozen guards, sweating profusely. "We finally found you!"

"Are you alright, young master? Who knocked us out and kidnapped you? The master has already given orders—if anyone dares to mess with the tiger, they'll regret ever being born!"

Seeing his own people arrive, David Brooks felt much more at ease. He waved his hand, "A narrow escape brings future blessings! Come, let's go to the slave market and buy seven or eight pretty young maidservants to calm my nerves!"

"Alright!" the two lackeys cheered in unison.

David Brooks didn't mention anything about Mrs. Harris. The rivalry among the Three Heroes had a long history; there was no need to let the servants know about such matters. That was something to discuss with his father. Though David Brooks was a bit of a scoundrel, he understood these boundaries.

The lively slave market finally pulled David Brooks out of that lingering sense of "danger." He relaxed completely, shook himself off, and while picking out the pretty little maidservants, secretly made up his mind: "No, I have to start cultivating too!"

"As a man, I should at least be able to protect my own chastity!"

David Brooks made his vow, though he still felt something was off. He shook his head, stopped thinking about it, and focused his attention on the charming little maidservants—unable to tear his eyes away.
