Chapter 15

Mitsui Taro nodded repeatedly and said, “Elder, your lesson is right. This time, my father sent me out to trade with you precisely so I could learn something from you!”

“So, did you succeed?” Elder Grant heard Thomas Mitchell’s words, his expression softened a bit, and he asked.

“Yeah, it wasn’t easy this time. We planned for half a month and intercepted her near the place where this woman was studying. Who knew she’d have so many experts protecting her? Of the twenty-eight experts I brought to China, twenty-four died. Even our Kyukyu sect’s elder Mr. Campbell self-destructed to help us escape. Luckily, we bribed a local official and managed to board this flight!”

The elder nodded, “Well done. There are too many experts in China, but fortunately, they’re not united. Still, they’re not people we can easily deal with. China has never lacked traitors—give them a little benefit and they’ll sell even their ancestors to you. It’s precisely because of these traitors that our Yamato people can gradually infiltrate China and undermine them from within! Well, here’s three hundred million US dollars. Hand the person over to me. Our Iga clan’s Shadow Stream and your Kyukyu sect were originally from the same school, but unfortunately split in your grandfather’s generation. Sigh! Otherwise, we wouldn’t be suppressed by the Black Dragon Society now.”

Mitchell nodded in agreement. With a wave of his hand, four burly men led by Kenneth took the password cases from four men in black. Just as they were about to hand the girl over to the elder, a figure from the Bat Faction, moving at a speed invisible to the naked eye, swiftly snatched the person from Mitchell’s hands.

The elder shouted angrily, waving his hand to send out a ball of gray light toward the shadow. The shadow was Henry Parker, who had just ambushed them. With the speed of a vampire count, he snatched the girl from Mitchell’s hands. Just as he saw that Elder Grant was sending gray light at him and was about to take it head-on, he heard James Clark’s anxious voice in his ear: “Idiot! That’s the ‘Stone Demon Talisman Hand’—don’t take it head-on!”

Henry Parker reacted extremely quickly. In the midst of chaos, he managed to grab Kenneth, pulling him in front as a shield. Although Kenneth had practiced karate for decades and was considered an expert, how could he compare to a non-human like Henry Parker? He had no power to resist and was struck by the gray light. With a loud “smack!”, Kenneth was thrown to the ground by Henry Parker, shattering into pieces like a stone.

Henry Parker shuddered all over, finally understanding why James Clark told him not to take the attack head-on. Though his mind was racing, Henry Parker didn’t hesitate in his actions. Amidst a series of miserable screams, the other three of Thomas Mitchell’s subordinates were killed. Henry Parker’s speed was simply too fast. The speed of a vampire count was already monstrous, not to mention that James Clark had added several “Swift Movement” and “Gale” talismans to his legs, arms, and body!

By the time the elder reacted, Henry Parker was already fleeing with the girl in his arms.

Thomas Mitchell, Elder Grant, and their four subordinates let out furious roars, ignoring even the money in the password cases, and chased after Henry Parker. Not far from the door, they saw Henry Parker standing more than thirty meters away, with two wings over three meters long, completely silver-gray, flapping constantly as he stared eerily at the six of them.

Thomas Mitchell was about to step forward, but Elder Grant stopped him. “Respected vampire count friend, our Shadow Stream ninjas have always maintained good relations with your European Dark Association. Why make things difficult for us?”

“Heh heh!” Henry Parker let out a sinister laugh and, without answering, flicked his hand to send out six yellow talismans, which turned into six balls of golden light shooting toward Thomas Mitchell and the others. Elder Grant, experienced and knowledgeable, saw the golden light and shouted, “Everyone scatter! This is Chinese Daoist magic!”

But it was too late. The “Golden Spirit Talismans” meticulously crafted by James Clark drew upon the Western Geng Metal energy. The six golden lights rapidly transformed in the air—one became two, two became three—and in the blink of an eye, they turned into hundreds of extremely sharp sword auras, capable of slicing off large chunks even from the hardest granite, sweeping down upon the six people.

Ah! Elder Grant exhaled and let out a sound, a phosphorescent glow with ghostly fire flickering faintly enveloped his whole body. “Clang!” Amidst a chaotic clatter, the fierce golden light actually sparked against the phosphorescence. Mitchell was the same; the two of them were completely unharmed. But Elder Grant’s subordinates were not so lucky. Amidst miserable screams, the four of them fell to the ground, their bodies mangled, barely alive.

Not even five minutes had passed, and Elder Grant and Thomas Mitchell were left as solitary commanders, with not a single subordinate left alive.

Elder Grant was truly enraged now, letting out a venomous roar, his sinister face twisted with fury. “Good! So you’re not a vampire—you’re Chinese! Heh heh, I’ll kill you! Tear you to pieces!”

More and more phosphorescent flames emerged from Elder Grant’s body, gradually converging into a human-shaped shadow over three meters tall, shrouded in black smoke, its true face obscured. The giant shadow let out a roar: “Iga, why have you awakened me!”

Thomas Mitchell suddenly cried out in astonishment, “Heavenly Shikigami! The elder has actually mastered the Heavenly Shikigami!”
