Chapter 2

I haven’t even finished watching it once yet…” Andrew Warren rubbed his ear and spoke in a low voice.

Mr. Clark glared at him and sneered, “Then I’ll have you practice it again and see if you can perform this set of moves!”

It’s extremely difficult to master a boxing form; almost no one can memorize the routine and perform it decently after just watching it once or twice.

After observing the probationary constables practicing the spear post these past few days, Mr. Clark also knew that Andrew Warren didn’t have the talent for it.

He was deliberately trying to cure Andrew Warren of his inattentiveness during practice.

If you’re distracted while practicing now, once you officially become a constable and face those vicious criminals, you’ll be left with nothing but regret!

Mr. Clark immediately took his stance and once again demonstrated all five major moves of the spear post.

Every punch he threw still burst with force, making the air emit a booming sound.

Seeing that Mr. Clark was serious, Andrew Warren stopped being careless and focused on memorizing every move of Mr. Clark’s routine.

As he concentrated, he immediately felt as if this set of spear boxing had changed.

Every step Mr. Clark took, every twist of his body, how it altered the routine and generated different kinds of force, all became crystal clear to Andrew Warren.

It was like a master butcher dissecting an ox.

Before long, Mr. Clark finished the routine, his face flushed red. He took several deep breaths before saying to Andrew Warren, “Come on, show me the spear boxing routine.”

“I don’t expect you to understand the way the force is used, just make sure your movements look right.”

With that, he sat down to rest on a stone stool not far away.

Even for a martial artist with hidden strength like Mr. Clark, performing the spear boxing routine twice in a row was exhausting.

He saw Andrew Warren still standing motionless, and was about to scold him when Andrew Warren moved.

Andrew Warren set up the spear post, squared his shoulders, and assumed a standard starting stance.

This boxing form adapts military spear techniques, training both the arms and lower body muscles. The five moves correspond to the spear’s “thrust, lift, sweep, chop, and drill.”

After taking the starting stance, Andrew Warren immediately stepped forward into a lunge, pressing his leg, and thrust his fist straight out from his waist!

With this punch, there was no booming sound like Mr. Clark’s.

He was just beginning to practice, and hadn’t yet coordinated the hundred-plus muscles involved in the routine, so naturally his punch didn’t carry any force.

But as Andrew Warren threw the punch, he clearly felt a group of muscles being activated, a trace of heat rising from them.

As he shifted his stance and swept his fist horizontally, that trace of heat flowed into the corresponding muscle group for that move.

A trace of heat gathered into a stream of warmth.

His body kept changing positions, and in less than a moment, he had performed all five major moves.

The heat inside him had already gathered into a current, flowing through the muscles activated by the routine, nurturing a powerful strength.

Seeing Andrew Warren complete the spear boxing routine, Mr. Clark looked surprised.

At first, Andrew Warren was a bit clumsy, but after a couple of moves, his form became much more proficient.

By the final move, “Stone-Crushing Spear,” he was already showing signs of true mastery.

Could it be that this kid actually has some talent for martial arts, and I just never noticed before?

With that thought, Mr. Clark said, “Being able to perform the spear boxing routine decently after just watching it twice is already pretty good.

Go home and practice this set a hundred or so times, and you’ll definitely develop ‘obvious force.’

When your muscles are fully coordinated and the force bursts through your body, making the air boom, that’s called ‘obvious force!’”

Seeing Andrew Warren take the starting stance again, seemingly immersed in practicing the routine, Mr. Clark quickly added, “Alright, alright, for a beginner, practicing this routine once a day is enough.

If you overdo it, you’ll end up hurting your body. Stop for now—” Boom!

Before Mr. Clark could finish, Andrew Warren had already thrown a “level-shoulder spear,” his fist piercing the air with a booming sound!

A punch that makes the air boom—that’s ‘obvious force!’

He’s already reached obvious force?

Mr. Clark sprang to his feet, staring at Andrew Warren in shock, his eyes full of disbelief.

The other probationary constables also looked as if they’d seen a ghost.

They all learned the same spear boxing routine together, so why was he the only one who stood out?

Under everyone’s astonished gaze, Andrew Warren followed up with “Sweeping Spear” and “Moon-Lifting Spear.”

These two moves didn’t make the air boom again.

Everyone gradually breathed a sigh of relief.

It seemed that punch from Andrew Warren just now was a fluke, just dumb luck.

Mr. Clark’s expression relaxed, and he slowly squatted down, about to sit back on the stone stool.

Boom!

Andrew Warren unleashed a “Stone-Crushing Spear,” making the air rumble again!

Mr. Clark dropped onto the stone stool, nearly splitting his backside in four!

Boom!

Boom!

The muffled booms started coming one after another.

Chapter 2: Obvious Force

“Twelve, thirteen, fourteen…” “Seventeen, eighteen…” “That’s twenty booms!

He’s already made the air boom twenty times in a row, without a single break!”

“Isn’t this the standard of a true martial artist with obvious force?”
