Chapter 20

Ryan Clark was caught on camera baring his teeth in frustration and said angrily, "Take it easy, take it easy, is this how you treat your heroes?"

"Hero? I think you're just a treacherous minister!" David Brooks looked at the kill count on the screen, couldn't help but wince, then turned to continue asking, "Do you know what your 35 kills mean?"

"What does it mean?" Ryan Clark felt a jolt in his heart, realizing something might be wrong.

But he still muttered under his breath, "A match has 100 people, killing 35 doesn't seem like a big deal, right?"

Hearing Ryan Clark's words, some of the people standing around who hadn't left yet almost tripped and fell to the ground!

Many of these people hadn't even won a single chicken dinner all afternoon, and there were plenty who landed and immediately became "loot box spirits."

Everyone was crying inside.

A pro is a pro—even when showing off, it's on another level!

David Brooks also had a look on his face that said, "Just keep showing off, kid."

Being stared at by the people around him made Ryan Clark a bit nervous, so he couldn't help but move closer to David Brooks and quietly ask, "Is 35 kills really that many?"

"Do you know what the current highest kill record is on the Asia server?" David Brooks shot back.

"Uh... not really sure." Ryan Clark had a bad feeling.

David Brooks raised three fingers on his left hand, then stuck out his thumb and pinky on his right, looking at Ryan Clark and said, "Thirty-six!"

"Yo! That's awesome, Langzi!" Hearing this, Henry Cooper instinctively praised, then after three seconds suddenly realized, "Wait! So Langzi almost broke the Asia server's highest kill record just now?"

"..." Everyone was speechless.

So you just realized, bro.

……

Chapter 10: Do you want to give it a try?

Sensing the strange looks from the people around him, Ryan Clark knew he had to say something now.

He scratched his head and stammered, "Actually, I used to play CSGO for a while, so I guess I have some basics."

Everyone kept staring at Ryan Clark, their eyes clearly full of disbelief.

Knowing he couldn't say more, Ryan Clark quickly changed the subject, deliberately boasting loudly, "Come on! Who set this Asia server record anyway? I could break it easily."

"That's it? And you call that a record?"

"Noob! Too noob!"

As he spoke, Ryan Clark shook his head.

But after hearing Ryan Clark's words, not only did David Brooks and the other two look at him differently, even some of the people standing behind changed their expressions.

David Brooks stared at Ryan Clark and asked with a strange look, "You've played CSGO... then you must've heard of Lech, right?"

"Lech? Sounds familiar?"

Ryan Clark was stunned, rubbed his chin, then suddenly clapped his hands as he remembered, "Oh! You mean Emily Thompson?"

"Yeah, he's the one who holds the record!" David Brooks nodded solemnly.

Ryan Clark couldn't help but laugh, "Hahaha! Since it's that kid's record, isn't it normal for someone to break it?"

As soon as he said that, realizing the atmosphere was a bit off, Ryan Clark coughed twice and added, "I mean, the new always surpasses the old, there's always someone better out there. Besides, your Lech was always getting his records broken back in CSGO, right?"

After saying that, Ryan Clark just stood there laughing awkwardly to himself.

Henry Cooper was straightforward by nature, and whether it was LOL before or PUBG now, he just focused on playing the game and didn't care at all about the pro players or superstars in the scene.

Seeing a bunch of people pestering Ryan Clark, he couldn't help but shout, "Hey, are you guys done yet? What's so special about Lech? Can't Langzi break his record? I say next time Langzi should go all out and break it for real, show him who's the real number one in Asia!"

Hearing Henry Cooper's words, Ryan Clark felt a headache coming on.

The people standing around looked at him speechlessly, and some who seemed to be Lech fans couldn't help wanting to speak up.

Seeing the crowd behind him, Brian Carter quickly said, "Let's not worry about that. Didn't they say there's a reward for winning? Let's hurry to the bar and claim it."

Seeing the situation, and following the principle of handling internal matters internally, David Brooks slapped his forehead and said, "Oh! I almost forgot about that, let's go, let's go! Time to get the prize!"

After that, he turned to Henry Cooper and said, "Old Third, don't get too happy yet, don't forget what you said earlier."

Henry Cooper was stunned, then quickly remembered and slapped his chest, saying, "A man keeps his word! Tonight, big plate chicken, my treat!"

As soon as he said that, the atmosphere immediately became lively.

And seeing the main group leave, the crowd that had gathered behind them also dispersed, except for a few who still wanted to see what was going on, but most went back to their seats.

……

Just coming in from the lobby, Adam Wright saw the crowd dispersing, paused for a moment, then grabbed someone who looked familiar and asked, "That 35-kill chicken dinner just now, was it in this area?"
