Chapter 13

Richard Bennett landed on the arena with a particularly crisp sound, making the special wooden floorboards crack loudly—it was definitely intentional, a show of force.

William Bennett, on the other hand, stepped onto the stage slowly, taking the ladder, his steps ordinary, no different from anyone else.

“You dare call me four-legged? Fine, William Bennett, today I’ll make you three-legged.” Richard Bennett clenched his fists, making cracking sounds.

“Sigh, four legs are great, at least you can still crawl. If you become three-legged, what would you be? Let me think.” William Bennett said with a smile.

“Take my punch!” Richard Bennett was furious, stomping hard on the ground, launching himself like a black tiger pouncing, his body shooting forward like an arrow.

“This kid’s really mad, using the ‘Yin Sect’ Poison Sand Palm right from the start,” said Andrew Carter.

“The Poison Sand Palm of the Yin Sect contains poison in the palm, trained from childhood in poisonous sand. I didn’t expect Richard Bennett to practice such a vicious technique just to increase his strength. And to get this technique, Elder Stephen Bennett probably paid a hefty price. The Yin Sect people are ruthless,” said John Carter.

A foul stench wafted over as William Bennett dodged to the side. He noticed Richard Bennett’s palm had turned purple. Poisonous gas leaked out, unbearably foul. If struck, he’d definitely be poisoned.

William Bennett was a bit annoyed—this guy was so vicious, so he wouldn’t hold back either. He spun and swept his leg, landing a crisp smack, knocking Richard Bennett to the ground.

But this guy did have some skill. He rolled three times and bounced back up. His palm swept horizontally, sending a terrifying wave of poison straight at him. Even just inhaling the fumes would make someone faint.

But William Bennett was prepared and held his breath.

At that moment, he felt his third bloodline tremble. A surge of fierce blood energy rushed into his fist. William Bennett’s muscles crackled, some bulging instantly.

His bloodline had always tested as zero, so the body’s original owner had trained his body with almost self-destructive methods. Though he hadn’t awakened his bloodline, his body was exceptionally strong.

William Bennett flipped through the air, landing directly behind Richard Bennett, and struck with a tiger fist. With a crisp smack, that fierce, strange energy hit Richard Bennett squarely in the back.

Smack—

Richard Bennett was sent flying forward, crashing onto the arena. He tried to roll up, but a large foot came down hard from above, stomping on his thigh.

Crack—a faint sound, but Stephen Bennett knew his son’s leg was broken. Richard Bennett’s thigh bone was clearly jutting upward. William Bennett sneered and raised his foot to stomp again.

“Stop, Richard Bennett admits defeat!” Stephen Bennett hurriedly stood up and shouted, but with another crack, William Bennett stomped down on Richard Bennett’s lower leg and ankle. Richard Bennett screamed in agony, his ankle twisting sideways, nearly dislocated, the skin broken and blood gushing out.

With a swish, Stephen Bennett leapt onto the arena, delivering a vicious flying kick at William Bennett.

“What do you think you’re doing?” Smack! Stephen Bennett was kicked aside by Charles Bennett, stumbling three times before stopping. He glared at Charles Bennett and said, “I already admitted defeat. Why did William Bennett strike again? Clan leader, I demand you uphold justice and punish William Bennett according to clan rules—break his leg! Otherwise, what’s the point of clan rules?”

“What a joke! How did William break any rules? But you, as an elder, jumped onto the stage to ambush a junior—do you have any shame?” Charles Bennett sneered.

“Charles Bennett, since he already admitted defeat, William striking again is indeed against the rules. According to clan law, he should receive at least 30 lashes. Guards, bring out the whip!” Andrew Bennett seized the opportunity, shouting with authority.

“Who dares?” Charles Bennett’s whole body swelled with energy, blood surging like waves. The blood-red shadow of a white-headed tiger crouched behind him, ready to pounce.

“Charles Bennett, are you defying an enforcement order?” Andrew Bennett’s body also swelled, a tree shadow appearing, vines coiling and stretching, ready to strike at any moment. Andrew Bennett’s “blood thought” was a terrifying man-eating tree.

“This is going to be good,” Andrew Carter chuckled dryly.

“Hope they fight, that’ll be fun,” John Carter grinned sinisterly.

“What a joke! It was me, William Bennett, and Richard Bennett competing. And this match was supposed to be the first one tomorrow morning. It was Richard Bennett who insisted on moving it up and even demanded I let him use only one hand. But I never asked him to, and he didn’t. Since he lost, Richard Bennett should admit defeat himself. If I stopped before he admitted defeat and he ambushed me, wouldn’t I be beaten for nothing?” William Bennett sneered.

“The clan rules state that when juniors are injured in a match, elders can make decisions on their behalf,” Andrew Bennett said coldly.

“That rule exists, but there’s an addendum: the elder’s decision only takes effect with the presiding elder’s approval. Did Elder Frank Bennett approve just now?” William Bennett spoke with imposing momentum, showing no fear of the enforcement elder Andrew Bennett.

“You—” Stephen Bennett was choked speechless, Andrew Bennett looked embarrassed, and Charles Bennett glanced at his son and blinked, meaning: well said.
