Chapter 10

Hearing her exclaim, everyone turned to look at the mountain peak, and what they saw once again astonished them.

The mountain, which had been lush and green, had changed. All the plants on the mountain were rapidly withering, and the peak that had looked so full of vitality now appeared aged and withered.

That upright mountain peak, which just moments ago had seemed so powerful—enough to make women blush at the sight—now looked shriveled after its eruption, the once vibrant green completely gone.

After Lucy Clark cried out, her face immediately flushed red. Seeing everyone’s shock, she lightly patted her ample chest, secretly thinking to herself, Why was I staring at that mountain!

Evelyn Green also felt a sense of embarrassment rise in her heart. Her gaze turned to James Carter, and she recalled the mysterious place she had seen while serving James Carter, her face turning rosy as well.

“A mountain peak with all its spiritual energy completely depleted!”

Caleb Cooper muttered to himself.

Could it be that all the spiritual energy was absorbed by His Highness?

This was completely beyond everyone’s understanding.

With a sudden jolt, William Harper’s eyes shone with a powerful light. He knew he had chosen the right person to follow this time. With such a monstrous prince present, the lives of everyone here would undergo tremendous change.

Originally, following His Highness to Jinling County, none of them had any particular ambitions. But now, things were different. With such formidable power, His Highness now had the qualifications to vie for imperial authority.

At this thought, William Harper felt his heart beating rapidly.

His expression turning serious, William Harper looked at the still-stunned crowd.

“Listen carefully: everything that happens to His Highness is top secret. No one is allowed to leak any information. Anyone who does will be treated as a traitor, and their entire clan will be executed!”

William Harper’s voice echoed through the mountains.

Samuel Cooper also snapped back to his senses. This was a major matter; it absolutely could not be leaked before His Highness matured. He said in a deep voice, “If anyone leaks this, even if you flee to the ends of the earth, I will hunt you down and kill you!”

As he spoke, a tremendously powerful aura radiated from Samuel Cooper.

In truth, neither of them could have guessed what everyone else was thinking.

“Swear to serve His Highness to the death!” The captain of the guards, Thomas Baker, placed his hand over his left chest and shouted loudly.

“Swear to serve His Highness to the death!”

The other guards shouted in unison.

No one felt the previous sense of loss anymore; powerful confidence shone in their eyes.

Evelyn Green and Lucy Clark exchanged a glance. After shouting along with everyone, they looked again at His Highness sitting there, and a bright light shone in both women’s eyes.

To everyone, the only explanation was that James Carter must have received help from an immortal, gaining a power bestowed by a divine being.

In fact, no one could clearly say what exactly had happened to James Carter, making secrecy even harder to maintain.

“His Highness can actually possess such power!” William Harper thought of those lofty first-rate empires. The Great Chu was only a third-rate empire; above it, there were even greater empires, and in those, it was said that the top figures could also possess such abilities.

The influx of spiritual energy began to weaken. James Carter had already found his own way of absorbing spiritual energy. In his dantian, he forcibly created a Taiji formation with his spiritual power. All the spiritual energy entering the Taiji formation would be stripped apart by its rapid rotation; all external elements were flung out of the body by centrifugal force, leaving only the core essence of the spiritual energy—this was the most useful part.

This was a different kind of compression, far more thorough and direct than that of ordinary cultivators.

Now, there was no more true qi in the dantian; only the core essence of the spiritual energy remained.

The essence was continuously being separated out, and the amount of essence in the dantian kept increasing.

Ever since the essence was formed, James Carter felt as if he were in a space devoid of any life.

All the aura was so vast and ancient!

Primal chaos energy!

A strange thought arose in James Carter’s mind. Everything here seemed like the state of the world before heaven and earth were formed, with only the powerful primal chaos energy existing here.

The generation of essence was accelerating, and as it did, the tearing pain began to fade.

After the last stream of spiritual energy flowed in, there was basically no more new spiritual energy from the outside.

When all the spiritual energy had been completely transformed, James Carter knew that although he hadn’t turned his dantian into a spiritual field, the creation of primal chaos essence had caused earth-shattering changes within him. Now, instead of true qi, his body was filled with primal chaos essence.

The power radiating from the primal chaos essence was far beyond the weakness of true qi!

Now that primal chaos essence had appeared, as long as he could comprehend the method to split heaven and earth, he would be able to create anything he desired within his own body!
