Chapter 11

“I’ll help you remember.” James Johnson continued to press him.

“Who the hell knows what you’re talking about!” Seventh Brother buried his head in his book, not daring to meet his gaze.

“That’s right, I’m not human now, I’m a ghost.” James Johnson said sinisterly, “I’ve come back to seek revenge on my enemies…”

Suddenly, with a loud ‘bang’, Benjamin Lee, who had been tolerating the two, finally couldn’t hold back and struck the ruler!

This startled Prince of Qi so much that he let out an ‘ah’ and nearly jumped out of his seat.

“No talking in class!” Benjamin Lee said sternly, “You two princes, please go outside if you want to talk!”

Chapter 7 Scaring Children

And so, on his very first day back to class, Prince of Chu was sent out of the classroom.

Accompanying him was the model student, Prince of Qi.

Unlike the unconcerned James Johnson, Seventh Brother had never been kicked out to stand in the hall in all his years at the main hall, and was naturally overwhelmed with shame.

Afraid his mother would find out and punish him, he hung his head and sobbed uncontrollably.

James Johnson glanced at him sideways for a while, and seeing he was still crying non-stop, had to cough loudly.

“Ah…” Only then did Seventh Brother remember that Sixth Brother was beside him, and asked in a trembling voice, “Are you a person or a ghost?”

“I was kidding, I’m a person, not a ghost,” said Sixth Brother.

“Really?”

“Have you read yourself stupid? Didn’t you see I have a shadow?” James Johnson kicked him on the butt.

Seventh Brother covered his rear and looked—sure enough. Just as he was about to breathe a sigh of relief, he heard James Johnson coldly say again:

“If it weren’t for Fourth Brother saving me, I would’ve been killed by you!”

“It wasn’t me, I didn’t!” Seventh Brother hurriedly denied.

“Hmph, it’s no use arguing, because there was a witness who saw the whole process of you pushing me into the water!” James Johnson pressed on relentlessly.

“Who? Who saw it?!” Prince of QiHenry Johnson was just a ten-year-old child—how could he withstand James Johnson’s bluffing? He gave himself away easily.

“Benjamin LeeMr. Lee.” James Johnson pointed at the classroom, enunciating each word.

“Ah…” Seventh Brother was struck as if by lightning, his face turning pale with fright. “No, that can’t be…”

“Mr. Lee is right inside, would I lie to you?” James Johnson sneered, “When class is over, you can confront him face to face!”

“No, I don’t want to…” Prince of Qi’s lips trembled, his face starting to turn green.

“If you don’t dare, that’s as good as admitting it! I’ll take you to see Father King right now and tell him you’re the one who tried to murder me!” James Johnson said sternly, “I don’t believe Father King would let you live to see the New Year!”

From a distance, it just looked like two ten-year-olds bickering. Who would have thought their conversation was so perilous!

Well, it was one-sided intimidation…

“Father King won’t kill me…” Prince of Qi’s legs were shaking, his eyes starting to lose focus.

“Even if Father King doesn’t kill you, at the very least he’ll break both your legs and lock you up until you’re old and gray!” James Johnson continued to escalate the threats:

“You’ll never be your mother’s pride again, and you’ll never wash away the infamy of murdering your own brother!”

With a cry of “Ah…”, Seventh Brother covered his ears with both hands and plopped down on the ground.

……

Inside the classroom, Benjamin Lee was teaching Eighth Prince when he heard that strange scream and was completely infuriated.

This was exactly why he didn’t want to teach these little brats—they were just too damn much! Was there no respect for teachers at all?

“Outrageous!” He slammed the table, scaring six-year-old Eighth Brother into bursting into tears.

Benjamin Lee had to suppress his anger, bow to Prince of Tam, and then, with all his effort and with the help of Prince of Yan and Prince of Wu, finally managed to calm Eighth Brother down…

The utterly exasperated Mr. Lee couldn’t help but look up and sigh at his ill fate.

If it weren’t for saving his own life, why would he put up with this humiliation?

……

“Come on, let’s go see Father King!” Outside the classroom, James Johnson put on a fearsome expression and reached out as if to drag him.

“No, I don’t want to!” Seventh Brother howled, backing away on his hands and butt, then scrambled up and ran off in a panic.

He even left a long wet trail on the ground.

James Johnson stared in the direction he ran.

If he headed for the little garden, he’d have to follow, in case the kid got so scared he jumped into the lotus pond.

Clearly, Seventh Brother didn’t have that kind of courage—he ran straight toward Wenhua Gate. So, even if he wanted to die, he couldn’t…

James Johnson withdrew his gaze and nearly bumped right into Benjamin Lee as he turned around.

Benjamin Lee looked at the wet trail on the ground and said, “Practicing calligraphy?”

“Seventh Brother wrote the character ‘one’.” James Johnson replied innocently and respectfully, “Sir, is class over?”

“Mm.” Benjamin Lee gripped the ruler in his hand—this was bestowed by Mr. Johnson, and it was not a crime to hit princes with it.

“Your Highness, please come upstairs with this old minister.” He politely stepped aside and invited him.

Although one had run off, it didn’t matter—this anger had to be vented.

If the tiger doesn’t show its might, do they think I’m a sick cat?

Ahem, ahem, ahem…

……

Meanwhile.

That Prince of QiHenry Johnson ran out of Wenhua Gate in a daze.

His attendant eunuch couldn’t stop him no matter how he called, so he had to hurry after Seventh Brother, panting all the way back to Changyang Palace.

Inside Changyang Palace, Diana was admiring herself in the mirror.
