Chapter 2

At the very moment Edward Faulkner shifted his gaze to the beautiful tour guide, something completely unexpected suddenly happened. Edward Faulkner suddenly noticed that the beauty’s figure began to glow radiantly, as if she were surrounded by multicolored clouds, so dazzling and captivating!

“An immortal descending to the mortal world?!” Edward Faulkner was dumbfounded. He could never have imagined that such an outrageous thing would happen right before his eyes, and in broad daylight, in front of everyone!

“Buddha’s light! It’s Buddha’s light!” Some of the tourists realized what was happening and shouted excitedly.

Some quick-thinking tourists hurriedly took out their DVs or phones and started filming the spot where the Buddha’s light appeared. This was a rare spectacle that hadn’t been seen in decades—who would have thought they’d be lucky enough to witness it today? Truly a stroke of great fortune!

Buddha’s light! Edward Faulkner’s mouth hung open, drool trickling down his chin and dripping onto the ground. But the thing that shocked him wasn’t the Buddha’s light—it was the beautiful tour guide illuminated by it.

The weather was already mild, and the beautiful tour guide was dressed rather lightly. Her pale dress shimmered under the multicolored Buddha’s light, and from Edward Faulkner’s particular vantage point, he could see a remarkable sight: the beauty before him appeared almost completely naked in his view.

“Genuine goods! 36D!” This was Edward Faulkner’s last thought in this world.

Next, he felt his body struck by a tremendous force, spinning 36,720 degrees before suddenly feeling weightless, and then he fell straight into the valley shrouded in colorful halos.

“In this day and age, people still believe in this stuff? Besides, this isn’t even the Sacrifice Cliff! That guy must have been kicked in the head by a pig!” Realizing that someone had actually thrown themselves into the Buddha’s light, the astonished tourists began to chatter among themselves.

“Another victim of feudal superstition—” The beautiful tour guide, snapping out of her shock, suddenly realized this was a serious problem: one of her tourists had just jumped off a cliff right in front of her eyes!

This month’s bonus was probably gone! And with all the recent emphasis on safety, who knew if the safety inspectors would make an issue out of this? After all, they’d been keeping an eye on the Wenquanguan Resort for quite some time! Even though Yangmingshan wasn’t their main target, there was no guarantee it wouldn’t become a pretext for them to make trouble!

Just like the tour guide, the female tourist who had earlier been subjected to Edward Faulkner’s lecherous gaze also felt uneasy. She thought anxiously, all she’d done was give the guy a light kick on the butt—really, just a light kick—so how did he end up getting kicked off the cliff?

Thinking back to how Edward Faulkner had been drooling over the tour guide’s body, the female tourist immediately felt she’d done something extremely great, extremely glorious, and extremely right. That guy’s behavior was just too disgusting!

As for Edward Faulkner, who had already fallen off the cliff, he never would have thought that ogling a beauty could actually cost him his life—his own life, at that!

Chapter Two: Truly Reborn

When Edward Faulkner struggled to open his eyes, he found himself faced with a pair of astonishingly large breasts, almost bigger than his own head. Then, a pair of large hands forcefully stuffed the protruding nipple into his mouth, and a flood of milk with a strong milky taste gushed down his throat, nearly choking him. At this moment, he finally confirmed one thing: he had been reborn.

Although he didn’t know why such an utterly absurd thing had happened, he was comforted by the fact that fate hadn’t made Edward Faulkner mistake someone else for his father—his father was still his father, his mother was still his mother, his sister was still his sister, his brother was still his brother, and even the small bungalow he’d lived in for over a decade as a child was just as he remembered.

The only difference was that time had flowed backward by thirty-three years. The once-murky sky was now blue, the polluted air had become fresh and natural, and Edward Faulkner, an old scoundrel of many years, had become a wailing, hungry infant. But this baby was very different from any other.

Although Edward Faulkner’s mind was already that of an adult, it was now confined to the tiny body of a baby, so there were many things he wanted to do but couldn’t—like performing miracles or something.

Drawing on the sum of his thirty-three years of experience and the lessons he’d learned, Edward Faulkner knew that to stand out, he had to be the early bird—or, to put it nicely, seize the market first. So he thought, if he could make some extraordinary commotion, it would surely benefit his future path in life. And the best way to make a splash was, of course, to show off.

History books often record that when ancient sages were born, there would be strange fragrances filling the room, golden light on the ground, or heavenly chanting and Buddhas descending—very mystical events. That’s how they later became extraordinary and revered as great masters.
