Henry Clark's gaze was a mix of sincerity and temptation. He gently pushed away Todd, who was supporting him, walked up to the dark elf, and continued with a smile, “My coldness chills people to the bone, my figure is painted in blood, my name is piled upon white bones. This world is weak, and when I awaken again, the world will once more tremble beneath my feet...”
Just like a necromancer, Seed spoke more and more slowly, until his words lagged half a syllable behind Henry Clark, following Little Walter and repeating every word, slowly and persistently. Henry Clark was delighted! This Seed was still very weak, with pitifully little mental strength and a vague consciousness. Normally, it would be hard to hypnotize someone like this, but by accident, Henry Clark first had a fierce quarrel, rousing all of his spirit, and then suddenly soothed him, making Seed swing sharply from agitation to satisfaction. In an instant, his consciousness slipped, and under Henry Clark's guidance, he entered a hypnotic state.
“...The power of the past foretells the glory of the future. I shall stand atop the tower of magic, overlooking all life...” Henry Clark said a line, and Seed repeated it. But the dark elf's voice was growing weaker, and his eyes were becoming dazed.
At last, Henry Clark completed the hypnosis. With his final gentle words, “Alright, sleep now. I will not awaken again. The sweetness of dreams will last forever...”, Seed finally fell completely silent.
Only then did Henry Clark let out a long breath, smiling as he patted Derek's cheek. “Alright, come out now. He’s completely asleep—he’ll never wake up again!”
Hamlet's body suddenly shuddered, and his eyes snapped open once more. Henry Clark hadn’t even had time to show a triumphant smile when, unexpectedly, Derek suddenly cursed in grief and anger, “Despicable!” and, in a flash, drew a black dagger from her boot, slashing it toward Henry Clark's throat!
Chapter Six: Signing a Contract Beast
In Tianjin, Anding Hospital is located in an area called Wujiayao. Over time, people got used to calling the psychiatric hospital Wujiayao. For example, person A might joke with person B, “Did you escape from Wujiayao or something?”
Henry Clark's body had absorbed the power of vengeful spirits and zombies, making his mental strength abundant and powerful. When Hamlet opened his eyes and regained control of his body, Little Walter suddenly realized that the danger was coming from the Derek right in front of him!
Henry Clark shouted loudly, and as the dark elf's blade came at him, he desperately leaned back, kicked up with his toes, and landed a fierce kick to the dark elf’s abdomen. Hamlet let out a low growl as her body was sent flying backward.
Hamlet was the most outstanding dark elf, possessing unparalleled combat talent. As her body flew back, she suddenly bent at the waist, and at an angle that defied all laws of physics, she dove back at high speed, the black blade in her hand aimed steadily at Henry Clark's heart.
After that kick, Henry Clark lost his balance and fell flat on his back. Seeing the dark elf pounce again, he only had time to shout, “Stop!”
The blade had already sliced through Henry Clark's clothes, but at his shout, the dark elf’s body suddenly trembled, and the hand holding the knife jerked back unnaturally. Henry Clark himself was astonished—his words seemed irresistible to the dark elf. Sitting up, he looked at the eager, still-ready-to-attack dark elf and tentatively ordered, “Drop the knife!”
Hamlet's expression twisted, her eyes full of unwillingness, but her hand loosened, and with a clang, the knife fell to the ground.
Henry Clark was overjoyed and began barking orders: “Sit down, hands on your head, open your mouth, stick out your tongue...”
To his amazement, the dark elf actually obeyed every command from Little Walter. Henry Clark had no idea what was happening—why did she do whatever he said, as if some force was controlling her? Finally, Henry Clark steeled himself and, for the sake of the experiment, gave one last command: “Bite!”
Hamlet let out a muffled groan, her enchanting eyes filled with rage, but her mouth closed without hesitation, and with a soft sound, she bit down hard on her own tongue.
Henry Clark exchanged a bewildered glance with the chubby Todd, completely unable to understand what was going on. The scene before them was both ridiculous and bizarre—the powerful dark elf was actually more obedient than a puppy.
Under the dark elf’s grief-stricken gaze, Little Walter struggled to hold back his laughter and said with effort, “Alright, stop hitting me. Tell me what’s going on!”
Only then did Hamlet release the strange posture, sitting on the ground without getting up, and said bitterly, “You made Seed fall into eternal sleep, which did lift my curse. But, despicable human, why are you still pretending to be clueless? You took the opportunity to sign a loyalty contract with me! We agreed that I would only complete three tasks for you, but while I gave up my body, you turned me into your contract beast!”
Henry Clark was dumbfounded. He knew what a contract beast was: on the continent, the strong could sign loyalty contracts with creatures of other races or magical beasts, making them their contract beasts, who would obey their master's orders unconditionally. Generally, a contract could only be signed if the magical beast was willing. Only when the contract beast died would the contract be automatically dissolved. If the master died, the contract beast would die as well.
