Chapter 17

Ryan Knight was furious and cursed, “A bunch of useless fools, get them for me!”

Just then, another group of people arrived from afar, immediately surrounding the outside so tightly that not even water could get through. Their stance was unclear, but it was obvious that all their attention was on the Slime King. It must have been that ten minutes ago, those players who had died spread the news upon returning to the newbie village—an appearance of a super BOSS would naturally attract some powerful groups!

This new group of players were all above level 8, and every single one of them had names starting with Jianhuo!

  Jianhuo!

I suddenly realized—wasn’t my iron sword sold to someone named “Blake Knight”?

At this moment, someone parted the crowd, and it was none other than Blake Knight. He smiled faintly and said, “Wow, it’s really lively here. I didn’t expect the people from Aos to arrive even earlier!”

At this point, Blake Knight had already switched to a new weapon—a faintly glowing iron sword, which also seemed to be a black iron weapon, with similar attributes. I didn’t expect him to have such a weapon too!

But thinking about it, it made sense. Blake Knight should be the leader of Jianhuo. It would be strange if he didn’t have top-tier equipment.

Facing the uninvited guests from Jianhuo, the Aos players immediately felt a bit uneasy. After all, the quality of Aos players wasn’t very high, and there were only a few above level 8. In contrast, Jianhuo’s people seemed much stronger, even though there were only about a hundred of them in total.

So, Ryan Knight raised his eyebrows and said, “Didn’t expect Longhun to be in this newbie village too. Truly, enemies are bound to meet!”

Blake Knight laughed heartily, “Didn’t expect you all to give up on Yueheng and join Lingtong. We’re old acquaintances. Back in Yueheng, after Sword & Rose and Paradise Lost, the two mainstays, disbanded, the west side of Silvermoon City became the battleground for Jianhuo and Aos. Looks like it’s the same in Lingtong!”

Ryan Knight chuckled, “Brother Longhun, today is purely a personal grudge between Aos and this person. If you’d do me a favor, why not take your brothers and leave? I’ll settle things with this person myself!”

Blake Knight glanced inside from afar and seemed to recognize me as well—after all, the Glimmering Battle Axe was quite eye-catching!

So, Blake Knight laughed and said, “I can give you face, and your enemy is yours. But the Golden Slime King has to go to us Jianhuo. I can’t let my brothers come all this way for nothing, right?”

Ryan Knight’s face instantly turned cold. “Cut the crap! There’s no reason to give up a BOSS!”

At this moment, a player wielding a giant axe stepped out from Jianhuo’s team. He was already a Berserker, and his name was Chris Knight. He laughed boisterously, “Aos still wants to hog the Golden Slime King? Do you even have what it takes? Haha, don’t all end up kneeling here and making us laugh!”

Chris Knight’s words made Ryan Knight lose face, so he shouted, “Damn! Those Jianhuo bastards are trying to take advantage of us!”

Blake Knight shouted sternly, “Enough nonsense! Aren’t you taking advantage too? Back then, you monopolized the leveling grounds and drove out so many solo players. We’ll settle that score sooner or later. You Aos people know best what you are—bullying the weak, fearing the strong, despicable and sinister. Which of these don’t apply to you? I even heard you organized girls to do shady business in the game? Shame on you!”

Ryan Knight seemed to have been hit where it hurt. His face turned ashen, and he shouted in anger, “Damn it! Brothers, Jianhuo is clearly here to mess with us today. Take them out right now!”

Immediately, a group of Aos players surged forward, swinging clubs and broken swords in unison!

Blake Knight let out a cold laugh, “Let them fight!”

After a few clashes, several of Jianhuo’s front-line players were taken out, but the price was that a whole swath of Aos players turned gray-named!

Chris Knight laughed loudly, strode forward, raised his battle axe high, and brought it down with a crash. A flash of red light, and a ground-splitting battle aura tore through the earth. The Aos players at the front were instantly killed!

Ryan Knight’s face was clouded and uncertain. He shouted, “First squad, block those Jianhuo bastards! Second and third squads, hurry up and take down the Golden Slime King!”

In an instant, Jianhuo’s people were blocked outside, while Aos split their forces—half to fight Jianhuo, the other half to battle the Slime King!

I quietly slipped into the forest, feeling especially unwilling. The BOSS I had in my grasp was now being fought over by these two teams. Damn, going solo really is frustrating at every turn!

Unwilling as I was, I naturally didn’t want to leave. So I hid in the forest, watching the battle outside!

Although Aos’s average level was low, there were a few experts. One or two mages who had already advanced started attacking the Golden Slime King with fireballs and meteors, becoming the main force of the assault. After all, it was impossible to break through the Slime King’s defense with just wooden clubs!
