Chapter 13

"What's wrong? Just now you sounded so energetic, and now you're all clingy."

"Despicable, shameless, outrageous!" Matthew Brooks said angrily, "Miriam, that old witch!"

Everyone knew that Black Rose wanted Amelia, and that the Oddball Club was destined to disband. Anyone who joined the Oddball Club at this time would be going against Black Rose.

John Carter was slightly taken aback. "Where's Amelia?"

"They said there's some kind of test. John Carter, what should we do? Maybe I should go talk to Miriam and just let her merge our Oddball Club." said Mark Brooks.

John Carter shook his head. "We're just one person short. I don't believe we can't recruit anyone."

An hour later, John Carter and Mark Brooks once again realized the gap between the two clubs—truly, not a single person had come. "John Carter, maybe we should just give up. Offending Black Rose will make our lives hard in the future. Besides, a real man doesn't fight with women. Let's just let them have it."

John Carter shook his head. Mark Brooks sighed. His buddy seemed easygoing, but deep down he was stubborn as hell.

"You guys are the Oddball Club?" Just then, two people appeared in front of the Oddball Club's booth.

Mark Brooks quickly stood up, but as soon as he saw the emblem on their chests, he cooled down. These two were from Saint Judgment, one of the academy's four major clubs and the strongest in the Warrior Division.

"What do you want? I'm the club president, Mark Brooks."

The slightly taller one showed a hint of a proud smile. "I'm Lucas Bennett from Saint Judgment. Let Amelia join us, and we'll fill the two spots you're missing."

Of course, Mark Brooks had heard of Lucas Bennett—the vice president of Saint Judgment. They were all after Amelia. He just wanted to start an Oddball Club; why was he attracting so much trouble?

Mark Brooks was a strange one. He could compromise with beauties, but had no interest in giving in to guys. "Sorry, Amelia has no interest in joining Saint Judgment."

Lucas Bennett hadn't expected Mark Brooks to be so ungrateful. There were a lot of people around, so he couldn't lose his temper, but he stared intently at Mark Brooks. "Are you sure?"

Chapter 10: The Oddball Club is Founded!

"Sure, absolutely. Worst case, the Oddball Club disbands." Mark Brooks shrugged. Damn, do they really think threats work on me? At most, we'll just go our separate ways.

"Mark Brooks, do you know what it means to reject both Saint Judgment and Black Rose at the same time?" said the person next to Lucas Bennett.

Mark Brooks laughed. "Bro, have some emotional intelligence, will you? I've already refused, and you're still using such childish threats. Everyone, did you hear that? Saint Judgment is bullying people! What, you want to beat me up now?"

Immediately, Lucas Bennett's face darkened. He glared at the idiot beside him. "Let's go!"

After they left, Mark Brooks plopped down on the ground. Damn this big mouth of mine—acting tough for a moment, but how are we supposed to get by after this?

Now, even fewer people would join the Oddball Club. At Soul Academy, strength was everything. A small club like Oddball didn't even understand how to survive in the cracks; disbanding was only a matter of time.

Even so, John Carter still fully supported Mark Brooks. People need to have some principles. Worst case, they disband, but at least they tried. Thinking this, John Carter and Baron Grantham kept shouting to recruit, but word spread quickly through Tianxun. Who would still join the Oddball Club?

In no time, it was noon. The three of them sat by the roadside, gulping down water. Only Baron Grantham was still in high spirits—this guy was really pure, especially admiring the two presidents for not fearing authority.

"Excuse me, is this the Oddball Club? I'd like to join!"

At that moment, a heavenly voice rang out. To the three of them, it was like an oasis in the desert.

Mark Brooks practically jumped up in a flash. Damn, what a dazzling smile—this guy was almost overshadowing him, the president! But there was no time to care about that now.

John Carter was stunned for a moment, but the newcomer gave a brilliant smile. "Senior, we meet again. I want to join the Oddball Club. Is that possible?"

Mark Brooks looked at the two of them suspiciously. This kid... could he be a pretty boy?

"Come, let me see your entrance test form," said Mark Brooks. Procedures had to be followed.

Glen Christie nodded, opened Tianxun, and sent over his transcript. The next second, Matthew Brooks was petrified, and Baron Grantham, who peeked over, had his mouth wide open.

This guy was the legendary one?

First in freshman theory, soul power growth of 9.5, first in practical combat—a monster?

From Orpheus City, Glen Christie?

"Are you sure you want to join the Oddball Club?" John Carter asked.

Mark Brooks immediately pushed John Carter aside, his face blooming like a chrysanthemum. "Glen, welcome to the Oddball Club! This is definitely the wisest decision you've ever made!"

"I think so too. Senior John Carter, I hope you'll guide me well," Glen said with a smile.

John Carter rubbed his nose. Anyway, the Oddball Club's crisis was over.

"What did you say? Glen Christie joined the Oddball Club???" Miriam stood up in anger. The two people all the clubs were targeting had both joined the Oddball Club—what the hell was this?
