Chapter 5

"Yeah! Only there can I become a world-class movie star and realize my dream." Nicole Carter didn't care who she was talking to. "Maybe one day I'll even win an Oscar!"

Ryan let out a light sigh. The two of them really were a perfect match, both setting their sights on that same Vanity Fair.

Alright then! Miss Nicole Carter Kidman, as someone who repays kindness, as someone who liked you even in my previous life, I will definitely help you become the center of attention, and do my best to get you onto the stage of the highest honors, sooner and more often!

And, I will never let that pretty boy break your heart again!

Chapter 3 Script

Since they had come to London, this famous metropolis, it was only natural to do some sightseeing. Big Ben, the Thames, Victoria Tower, and the Palace of Westminster all saw the footprints of Ryan and Nicole Carter.

However, the place Ryan most wanted to visit was somewhere else. After much pestering, Nicole Carter finally took him to King's Cross Station.

This was the most famous train station from his previous life, the starting point of the magical journey for a little wizard.

That's right, the increasingly shameless Ryan had set his next target on Harry Potter. Originally, this series wasn't part of his plan. A novel so full of British flavor would be hard to write without having lived in the UK, and he didn't want to bring trouble upon himself.

Who could have guessed that plans never keep up with changes? Not only did he meet the fate-altered Nicole Carter Kidman, but he also followed her to London, where he would be living for the next two years. If he didn't bring this industry chain, which had created tens of billions of dollars in his previous life, into his own hands, it would be a shame for that encounter with Nicole Carter on the Walk of Fame.

As for whether Aunt Rowling in the future would commit suicide from hunger and cold, that was not his concern. After all, she wasn't Nicole Carter Kidman, owed him no favors, and had nothing to do with him.

Besides, what did the life or death of the Brits have to do with him!

Over the next year or so, Nicole Carter devoted herself to stage plays. Ryan went to watch a few times and found that Nicole Carter Kidman's acting was far better than when she entered Hollywood in his previous life.

As for himself, life was dull and boring. He devoted his classroom time to writing, exercised after school, and learned all sorts of knowledge that would be greatly beneficial to his future.

To break the bad habits he had developed in the orphanage over two lifetimes, he even asked Nicole Carter to hire a strict British etiquette teacher. He spent a whole year training in his spare time, and etiquette had become a habit.

As long as he wanted, he could be a perfect little gentleman.

He had already written and revised the first three Harry Potter books. After entering 1988, "Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone" was officially published, but just like in his previous life, it didn't cause a sensation.

In addition, he wrote several other short and medium-length stories, some original, some plagiarized. The publisher simply bundled them with his previously published works and prepared to release a "Ryan Story Collection."

As early winter arrived, London entered a stretch of continuous rainy weather. Ryan hadn't seen the sun for half a month. Because he had beaten up a few black kids who were bothering him at school, Nicole Carter was repeatedly called in by the principal, and as a result, he was grounded.

Sitting in his room, twirling a colored pencil, he suddenly heard Nicole Carter arguing with a man downstairs. Ryan simply put down his sketch and quietly walked out of his room.

"Why are you terminating the contract? And why are you turning down the Royal Shakespeare Company's invitation? That's a troupe supported by the royal family." The man's attitude was terrible as he questioned Nicole Carter.

Ryan recognized the man speaking—Nicole Carter's agent... no, former agent. He'd heard from Nicole Carter that their contract had expired and she wasn't planning to renew.

"I've acted in stage plays for over a year. I don't want to continue. I want to return to the big screen." Nicole Carter calmly explained.

"Return to the big screen?" The man's lips curled into a mocking smile.

"That's enough, Mr. Henry. Don't forget, our contract has already expired." With Nicole Carter's cold and proud personality, of course she wouldn't be polite to him and directly showed him the door.

"Ha..." The man sneered, "I know, you've always wanted to go to Hollywood. But you're too naive. Do you really think there are opportunities everywhere? Ah... maybe with your looks, you could trade for..."

"Whoosh..."

A colored pencil flew down from the stairs.

"Ouch..."

The man clutched his forehead and let out a cry of pain.

Ryan came running down the stairs with a dark expression, and said sternly, "If you're rude to a lady again, next time it won't be a pencil, it'll be a shot put."

"Hey! You little brat!" The man stood up, rubbing his forehead, looking like he wanted to start a fight.

Nicole Carter quickly stepped in front of Ryan. No matter what, she would never let anyone hurt the person most important to her. "Henry, please leave, or I'll call the police."
