With no other choice, he could only let out a furious roar and grit his teeth to keep running—struggling for that ever-dwindling chance to survive.

Countless trees were smashed aside by the massive body, thunderous crashes echoing in the darkness as the monster closed in rapidly. At this moment, Brian Cooper no longer fled in a straight line, but instead relied on his small, agile frame to dart and weave through the forest, making sharp turns in every direction.
Under the cover of dense trees, before the crisis could reach him, he managed—bit by bit—to barely widen the gap between himself and the monster.
But the difference in strength between the two was simply too great. Such tricks only allowed Brian Cooper to hold out for a short while; the monster still drew closer and closer. Finally, in a deafening roar, the beast caught up to Brian Cooper.
Beneath the night sky, the monster’s enormous eyes were already blood-red. It let out a roar, and a black forelimb, hard as steel, swept down from midair with a violent gust!
Wherever the wind passed, everything was instantly sliced apart—trees, even the hardest stones, could not withstand this terrifying blow.
Brian Cooper summoned every ounce of strength in his body, desperately lunging forward, narrowly dodging that dreadful strike in the nick of time.
The terrifying blow struck the ground, instantly gouging out a huge pit and sending up a wall of earth like a wave, sweeping Brian Cooper helplessly forward.
Failing to kill that hateful, ant-like enemy with this strike seemed to enrage the monster even more, driving it into a deeper, almost frenzied state.
Now, in its eyes, there was only that enemy who had killed countless of its offspring—that audacious ant!
No matter what, it had to kill him!
The monster lunged, crushing countless trees and rocks, rampaging madly through the forest—everything collapsing and shattering in its wake.
Brian Cooper staggered and struggled desperately, but gradually lost control of his own body. The barriers of trees that had given him a little room to maneuver were crumbling under that absolute power, and before long, he would be completely exposed, without any protection, before this crazed monster.
Death seemed to have completely surrounded him. On this bleak night, it felt as if he was the only one left in the entire world.
“Boom!”
With a final thunderous crash, the last few big trees Brian Cooper could rely on were toppled. Swept by the residual force, he was thrown helplessly to the ground.
He refused to give in, still wanting to struggle. As he tried with all his might to get up and keep running, he suddenly felt a sweetness in his throat and spat out a mouthful of blood.
He staggered forward, but his vision was filled with flashing stars, his legs weak and powerless. After only a few steps, he collapsed to the ground.
He kept struggling, but could only writhe on the ground like a dying fish.
The ground trembled. A massive shadow swept overhead, enveloping his body.
The giant beast planted a foot in front of him, its cold, blood-red gaze fixed on him. Surprisingly, it did not immediately kill or eat Brian Cooper; perhaps it wanted to get a good look at its enemy.
But the hatred in those blood-red eyes did not diminish in the slightest.
After a moment, the monster let out a piercing howl. Its black forelimb, like a giant sword, was raised high and then slashed down.
Judging by its posture, it intended to hack Brian Cooper to pieces and grind him into pulp to vent its hatred.
Brian Cooper sighed, finally lying down in exhaustion, waiting for death to arrive.
But at that very moment, suddenly, from somewhere in the forest, out of the darkness, came a thunderous, low roar.
This sound was neither as shrill and cruel as the monster’s, nor did it carry a wild fury, but within its rolling, thunder-like rumble, there was an unmistakable majesty—a kingly presence, looking down upon all living things.
The monster was clearly startled, so much so that it forgot to kill Brian Cooper; its half-fallen forelimb blade was instantly withdrawn. It had used so much force that it even stumbled forward a step or two.
For the first time, the monster seemed to feel a sense of dread—or perhaps, fear. It anxiously tried to turn and see what was happening behind it, but at that moment, an even taller, more massive, more terrifying shadow suddenly appeared.
Even the forest could not conceal the fearsome new figure. Just by standing there, it seemed to tower above the trees. In the darkness, this newly arrived giant beast moved with astonishing speed, pouncing behind the monster in an instant.
Before it could turn around, there was a thunderous roar, and a gaping maw clamped down on the back of the monster’s neck.
The monster that had, not long ago, chased Brian Cooper like a demon, leaving him with nowhere to run or hide, was now suddenly struck with a devastating blow. It let out a shrill, agonized scream and began to struggle desperately.
