Chapter 5

It seemed he tacitly agreed with what was said. John Baker frowned and fell silent, while William Carter also returned to his original seat.

"Mm, let's start with self-introductions." The middle-aged man with a sly grin pointed at himself and said, "You can call me Uncle Clark, and these two are John Baker and William Carter... Mm... that little sister over there, it's your turn."

Although his expression had become much kinder, the girl hiding in the corner still took a step back.

The girl, looking a bit pale, lowered her head, clutching the hem of her clothes, and stammered, "Chen, Chen Jingmo, 22 years old, just graduated, my, my specialty..."

"Eh? Shy girls are the cutest." The middle-aged man Uncle Clark waved his hand, signaling her not to continue. Just as he was about to say something, a crisp sound came from all around.

It was like the sound of a soap bubble popping, and everyone felt a vibration on their wrists.

"H-E-L-L-S-I-N-G..." The middle-aged man Uncle Clark squinted at the watch on his wrist, spelling out each letter: "hellsing? This world feels so unfamiliar..."

Then, he looked up at everyone.

"The mission is about to begin, whether you want to or not..." The middle-aged man Uncle Clark spread his hands.

"Welcome to this crazy world."

Chapter 3 hellsing

On everyone's watches, there was no regular dial, but instead a small screen displaying lines of tiny text.

After reading the contents, the middle-aged man Uncle Clark scratched his chin and smiled wryly: "Looks like this time the plot is about vampires and zombies? Have any of you seen this show?"

"I'm not interested in anime or anything like that." John Baker focused on trimming his nails, answering absentmindedly.

William Carter also shook his head. "I just finished watching 'Darker than Black,' haven't checked out the H section in the categories yet..."

"Alright, what about you guys?" Uncle Clark shook his head helplessly and turned to look at the newcomers.

The chubby middle-aged man James Thompson shook his head. Judging by his appearance, he probably didn't watch anything except adult films.

The skinny middle-aged man Samuel Harris mumbled, "My son likes to watch this stuff... I haven't seen it myself..."

Henry Clark could only smile bitterly. Before he lost his sight, he had watched some anime and such, but he'd never heard of these. After he went blind, apart from having the computer read light novels to him, he really hadn't studied any of this ACG stuff.

"I... I've heard of it..." Grace Brooks stammered. When everyone's gaze shifted to her, she shrank back in fear, using Henry Clark's body to block their view. "I think it's a really gory show... I... I haven't seen it either..."

"If you haven't seen it, just say so! What's your problem?" John Baker shot her an annoyed glance. "Will you die if you stop stuttering?"

Grace Brooks's body visibly trembled. She lowered her head and whispered, "S-sorry..."

Uncle Clark stroked his beard and changed the subject. "Alright, since it's vampires, then silver bullets and such should be effective. Everyone's prepared, right?"

John Baker smiled a little smugly, patted his pocket, glanced at William Carter, and said, "Anyway, pure silver is cheap in the space, so I bought half a ton and cast a bunch of bullets—should be over a thousand rounds."

William Carter glanced back at him. Suddenly, a black long blade appeared in his hand. He flicked the shiny silver blade with his finger, and the sword rang out with a clear sound. He said in a muffled voice, "This is enough for me."

"That's good. As for the newcomers..." Uncle Clark gave everyone a strange look. "Should we handle it the usual way?"

Handle...

Henry Clark frowned slightly, feeling grateful for his sharp intuition. He sensed something bad from the word "handle."

William Carter suddenly spoke up, "I object."

"Will you die if you stop being disgusting?" John Baker's face suddenly turned angry. "Did I step on your tail?"

"Do you just want to turn this team into a breeding squad?" William Carter's muscles twitched as he confronted him head-on. "Don't forget, back then you yourself..."

"Alright, alright!" Uncle Clark also frowned. "Everyone stop arguing. This time, listen to me, okay?"

After glaring at each other for a while, the two fell silent, clearly acquiescing.

"Breeding squad"...
