Chapter 19

"Alright, alright." Christopher Carter kicked him away, half laughing, half exasperated. "That little tip of yours, I'll gladly accept it. Now get lost."

"Since Ninth Master is willing to take it, it's my good fortune!" The thief nodded and bowed. "I still have some more..."

Honestly, taking his wallet was doing him a favor. If Ethan Grant and the others had found out about his performance just now, he would have gotten a serious beating. Christopher Carter waved his hand dismissively, then turned to look around, only to find that the woman had long since disappeared: "Damn, I thought I was about to have a romantic encounter, but she ran off faster than a rabbit."

Ethan Grant immediately said, "Should we go find her, brothers?"

"Forget it, that's too boring." Christopher Carter waved his hand. "Come on, let's go drink!"

Riding high on the thrill of having thoroughly humiliated the Busan guys, Christopher Carter led his brothers into the hotel and threw a lavish banquet. After a few rounds of drinks, they were so boisterous that he almost forgot all about Brian Baker's business. It wasn't until night had deepened and Brian Baker called that he snapped back to reality: "Huh? Oh, that thing... cough, sure, sure, where are you guys?"

After hanging up, he burped. "A few of you bored ones, come with me to put on a show."

When they arrived at the place Brian Baker had indicated, they saw from a distance a woman under the flickering neon lights, snapping photos left and right with a camera. She didn't look like she was here to study the chaos of Seoul at night, but more like an artsy young woman on vacation. She wasn't even wearing sunglasses. Looking closely, she matched the photo Brian Baker had shown them the other day.

So this was Sarah Scott, the actress Old Six had been obsessing over. Tsk tsk, she really was bold.

Christopher Carter led his brothers over, all of them wearing lecherous grins. "Hey, girl, all alone?"

Sarah Scott, in the middle of taking photos, froze and started backing away as the group of punks approached.

Christopher Carter chuckled. "Isn't it boring to play alone? Come have some fun with us, sweetheart."

The punks all played along, laughing crudely, their eyes roaming up and down her figure.

Christopher Carter stepped closer, reaching out to lift her chin with his finger. "Tsk tsk, not bad looking at all..."

He was just thinking that at this point Brian Baker should make his entrance, but unexpectedly, Sarah Scott blinked her big eyes at him for a moment, then suddenly smiled slightly. "Sure."

"Pfft..." Brian Baker, who was hiding around the corner waiting to come out, nearly tripped over himself.

Christopher Carter's finger froze in midair, and he stood there dumbfounded.

Director! This isn't how it's supposed to go!

Chapter 11: What Brings You to Divide Light and Shadow

Seeing Christopher Carter's dumbfounded expression, Sarah Scott burst out laughing, then pulled out a pair of sunglasses and put them on. "We just met this afternoon, Mr. River God returned my iron wallet."

Christopher Carter's facial muscles twitched. "You weren't wearing these clothes this afternoon, even your hairstyle was completely different..."

Sarah Scott took off her sunglasses and blinked. "I went home, changed clothes, ate, showered, did my hair, and came back."

"How damn bored are you!"

"It's normal for actresses to change clothes and do their hair often..."

"Fine, even if I helped you catch a thief, is that really a reason for you to want to have fun with my brothers?"

"Not really..." Sarah Scott squinted her eyes and smiled. "I just thought, if you really had that kind of interest, I would've been done for this afternoon—why wait until now? Besides, your acting is really bad... What was President Baker thinking, getting a bunch of amateurs to act in front of a professional actress?"

Christopher Carter covered his forehead. "Sixth Bro, come out, we've been exposed."

Brian Baker covered his face and slowly walked out, feeling like he couldn't show his face anymore.

Sarah Scott gave a proper bow. "Hello, President."

Brian Baker almost wanted to crawl into a hole.

Christopher Carter was also thoroughly embarrassed, dismissing his snickering brothers and silently leading the two of them to his nightclub.

Once the three of them were in a private room, Christopher Carter gloomily poured them drinks. Brian Baker coughed helplessly. "You came over this afternoon?"

Sarah Scott replied matter-of-factly, "Yeah, you said this place was chaotic, so isn't it safer to come during the day? Why wait until night?"

Fine, I'm an idiot, okay... Brian Baker muttered, "Safe, my ass. You said your wallet was stolen just now?"

"Yeah..." Sarah Scott's beautiful eyes drifted to Christopher Carter. "This gentleman helped me get it back. By the way, I still don't know your name?"

"Christopher Carter, your President Baker's sworn brother." Christopher Carter said stiffly, clinking glasses with Brian Baker. The two brothers downed their drinks in silence.

After finishing his drink, Brian Baker sighed. "Since something already happened this afternoon, how could you dare come alone at night? Are you crazy?"

Sarah Scott blinked. "Because I knew the president had set up a script for tonight, so it had to be safe. I just didn't expect the leading man to be the big shot I met this afternoon."

Brian Baker sighed again. "If anyone dares call you 'Dumb Ji' again, I'll be the first to slap them."

Sarah Scott laughed.

At this point, Christopher Carter grew a bit interested and asked, "You saw what happened this afternoon—weren't you afraid of me?"
