However, the silver-haired girl did not allow him to leave the boundaries of the grassland. She probably regarded him as a toy she had picked up. Considering she had lived in the forest for so many years, always dealing with wolves, it was only natural for her to be excited upon suddenly seeing a creature with the same form as herself. She had gone somewhere by the water to wash herself; there was no trace of blood left on her face. Whenever William Carter approached the edge of the forest, the girl, who was playing and skipping nearby, would run over and pull him back. Despite her delicate and graceful appearance, the girl was surprisingly strong. Moreover, whenever she came to pull him, the two giant wolves would growl lowly not far away, their eyes fierce and threatening. After this happened a few times, William Carter no longer dared to try leaving.
Without any clothes on, he felt quite cold. William Carter looked at the top and short skirt the girl had woven from leaves, and he also gathered some leaves, planning to weave them together with grass. However, his hands were so clumsy that after working for a long time, he had nothing to show for it. Seeing him busy on the ground, the girl came over and sat beside him, watching with interest. As dusk gradually fell, William Carter finally admitted defeat and helplessly threw the leaves in his hands onto the ground. Seeing this, the silver-haired girl beside him giggled. Then, she took off the short top and skirt she used to cover herself.
“Ah.” With a crisp, simple syllable, the girl held the two handmade garments in her hands and handed them to William Carter.
William Carter was suddenly stunned!
Bathed in the afterglow of the setting sun, the completely naked girl stood before him, smiling as she reached out her hand... The golden light covered every inch of her skin and hair, and at the same time, revealed that nearly perfect young body to William Carter.
A sweet smile, slender arms, soft shoulders, slightly upturned breasts, pink nipples, a delicate waist, long legs, and the lush grass between her thighs... For a moment, William Carter felt his heart racing uncontrollably. The girl's actions were completely natural, but his body had already reacted. Swallowing hard, he reached out with trembling hands to take the two garments. The girl laughed softly, turned, and ran into the woods.
The girl's naked figure disappeared into the forest. William Carter withdrew his gaze, and only after a long time did he manage to calm his agitated emotions. He then looked at the leaf-made garments in his hands. The main structure was twisted together with some unknown vine, then roughly covered with leaves of various sizes. Fortunately, William Carter was not a burly man, or he might not have been able to wear them at all. Even so, they were of little use; these two simple leaf garments could hardly keep out the cold. The girl had lived in the forest for over ten years and was probably already used to the climate here. These two items were just to cover the more sensitive parts of her body so as not to be hindered during movement. For William Carter, they were not very useful, but at least they were better than nothing. As the sun set, the air grew even colder. William Carter curled up in the grass, glanced at the cave entrance at the foot of the hill, and thought it would be much warmer inside. However, with two wolves there, he dared not go in, even though it had already been proven they would not harm him.
Fortunately, the girl finally returned, now wearing two simply woven garments again, and brought back a large pile of vines and a heap of leaves. She probably saw that William Carter liked making clothes and brought them back for him to play with. Mixed in were quite a few fruits, which seemed to be tonight's dinner.
William Carter followed her back into the cave, ate some fruit in the dim light, and then curled up on the dry grass—not because he wanted to sleep, but because he was cold. The two wolves went out for a while and came back carrying some kind of animal. The cave was instantly filled with the smell of blood. The two wolves and the girl began to eat on one side. The silver-haired girl also ate fruit, but it was clear that raw meat was still her main food. Afterwards, the girl ran out. Under the moonlight, half her face was covered in blood, but when she returned, it was gone, and her face was once again innocent and lovely, untouched by any stain. She had probably cleaned up by the river not far away.
The cold grew even more intense. William Carter curled up on the grass, shivering, and after a long time, as he was about to drift into sleep, his consciousness began to blur. Amidst the rustling sounds, a body crouched down beside him. The girl's slightly rough little hand stroked his cold back, and then a warm, soft body squeezed into his arms, passing her warmth to him...

Chapter Three: Moved
"...I like walking on the street at this time." He remembered the emptiness of the streets then, the loneliness of the deep night, the girl spreading her arms under the streetlights, radiant as a flower. "Because it makes me feel... like the whole world is mine..."
The girl's spirited expression at that time was still deeply engraved in his mind. From that look, he could feel an indescribable sense of sorrow and loneliness. Then, the two of them would walk together in the chilly night wind, seeking to draw warmth from each other's bodies. Many times, she called him out in the middle of the night, just to walk arm in arm down the center of the road, as if the whole world contained only the two of them.
