Chapter 7

“You can’t forget those eyes, those lips you were intoxicated by, that body you craved to the point of madness—hahaha, in the end, all of it was savagely enjoyed by that lowly beggar. The two of them woke up in the dungeon, and I was the first to visit them. It’s truly a pity you didn’t witness that scene with your own eyes!”

“What a pity… cough, cough, what a pity. I had actually prepared over a dozen strong vagrants for him, planning to send one to her every night so she could fully savor the pleasures of the mortal world. But unfortunately, she escaped the very next day…”

Alluring Woman recounted this fact in agony.

She sometimes chuckled low, sometimes screamed, deranged like a true vengeful spirit.

Alluring Woman knew she wouldn’t survive, but she didn’t consider herself completely defeated.

At the very least, she had trampled Valkyrie’s dignity and chastity to the utmost. No matter how high and mighty she acted, she was debased; no matter how pure and flawless she appeared, she was filthy. No matter whose woman she became in the future, her man would always brood over this, despise her, and grow to loathe her!

Henry Sullivan was the first to bear this torment. Whether he was a dragon herder or would one day become an immortal, greater Dragon Herder Lord, as long as he couldn’t forget Valkyrie, this knot in his heart would spread and fester like wildfire over time, driving him mad, making him vent his anger on her, and on everything!

“Hehehehe…” Alluring Woman’s laughter grew sharper and more frenzied.

Dragon Herder Henry Sullivan’s facial muscles twitched, gradually contorting, the veins bulging from his face even extending down his neck!

“Die!!” Dragon Herder Henry Sullivan roared in fury.

He stomped heavily on the woman’s festering face, crushing Alluring Lady into a bloody pulp as she laughed maniacally.

It seemed that seeing Henry Sullivan in such a state of rage before dying, Alluring Woman was quite satisfied.

“Die, die, die!!!!”

Henry Sullivan simply couldn’t quell the fire in his chest. He stomped on Alluring Woman again and again, even though she was already unrecognizable, dead beyond any doubt!

He didn’t want to hear another word from this madwoman, nor see her vicious, twisted face ever again!

No one knew how much time had passed. Enchanting Woman had already been trampled into a mess of flesh and blood, yet Henry Sullivan still hadn’t calmed down from his frenzy.

His chest heaved.

He glanced at the statue still standing in the center of the city, yet to be destroyed…

Fireworks reflected, the streets had become a devastated wasteland, yet that sacred, porcelain-white statue of a woman still radiated an unparalleled beauty that could intoxicate anyone.

“Even so, she is still mine—Henry Sullivan’s!”

He would make her his first private plaything after leaping over the Dragon Gate!

Henry Sullivan leapt up, landing between the broad, gilded wings of the fire dragon.

The fire dragon flapped its wings, soaring into the clouds. The ruined Eternal City beneath Henry Sullivan’s feet grew smaller and smaller…

Suddenly, the gilded fire dragon took a deep breath high in the sky, and the surrounding air currents formed a massive red vortex.

“Rooooooar~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~!!!!!!”

A torrent of dragonfire surged from the gilded fire dragon’s throat, like an inverted volcano, pouring scalding magma down upon the entire city. The magma landed at the statue’s location, then rapidly rolled and spread throughout the city…

The whole city was awash in flowing crimson. Soldiers, commoners, nobles—everyone was reduced to nothing in the deluge of dragonflame!!

Chapter 5: I Can Take Care of You

Xiaosang Town

A cold wind whistled. After a night of autumn rain, mulberry leaves blanketed the courtyard, with many more forming rippling leaf tiles atop the roof, lending a touch of damp elegance to the humble little house.

With the mulberry leaves fallen, the silkworm merchants had effectively entered an early winter. This was usually the time when Ryan Carter began his stint as an unemployed drifter.

Wearing a bamboo hat and a rain cape, Ryan Carter was sweeping up the rain-soaked fallen leaves in the yard. With his head lowered, he suddenly saw a pair of straight, slender, jade-like feet approaching gracefully.

Ryan Carter looked up at her.

She was cold as ice, keeping everyone at a distance, her beautiful amber-like eyes tinged with a hint of murderous intent.

Today, she was neither as delicate nor as gentle as usual. There was an aura swirling around her—a presence that only someone who had truly been tempered by war could possess!

It seemed she had recovered some of her strength, though still far from her former self. Ryan Carter had heard many tales of her power.

“Are you going for revenge?” Ryan Carter asked.

As soon as he spoke, countless silver threads shot out from Valkyrie’s sleeve. They were incredibly tough, swiftly weaving into a sword of silver threads, which hovered at Ryan Carter’s throat.

“Am I the first?” Ryan Carter said with a wry smile.

The sword slid past, and Valkyrie glided by as light as a swallow. A thin line of blood immediately appeared on Ryan Carter’s neck.

Ryan Carter stood motionless, waiting for his head to fall to the ground.

But it was just a shallow cut, breaking only a bit of skin.

Not going to kill him?

Ryan Carter clutched his neck, turning to look at Valkyrie’s graceful, tall figure.

He didn’t thank Valkyrie for sparing his life. After all, if she had truly been ruthless, she wouldn’t have reached out to pull him up in the dungeon back then.
