Chapter 1

This is the story of someone who was originally down on his luck, starting over in another world. Unfortunately, he still has a terrible beginning.

Since Heaven has given him another chance, of course he must seize it.

Demon, because this is a world of demons, and the protagonist was born in a place called the Abyss of Demons.

Seed, because such a person is like a seed, slowly sprouting and growing.

The place of origin is called Greenland.

Recalling his previous life feels like a dream. In this life, his name is Gaia, and he has already lived in this illustrious family for fourteen years. Today, he was finally kicked out.

In the Abyss of Demons ruled by the Dragon Demon Clan, someone like him—a good-for-nothing whose bone quality, muscle strength, magic sensitivity, and magic control index all fail to exceed fifty—what path is left for him except to live out his life in obscurity, keeping his head down?

But he refuses to believe it. Since Heaven has given him another chance, how could it still be so merciless!

And so, a tenacious seed was planted—beyond the tundra wastelands, where magical beasts run rampant and the cold is bone-chilling...

Volume One: The Infinite Devouring Body

Class Level System

Many people say the levels are confusing and hard to understand, but actually, I’ve already written about it before—everyone just didn’t notice. Here’s a simple level system.

Ability System:

Classes:

Three main classes: Warrior, Mage, Knight. All sub-classes can be categorized under these three.

Levels: Seven levels, each with three ranks—beginner, intermediate, advanced—for a total of twenty-one ranks. Each level has a guild-certified badge.

Mage: Magic Apprentice, Novice Mage, Mage, Magus, Archmage, Grand Archmage, Titled Archmage.

Warrior: Bronze Warrior, Silver Warrior, Gold Warrior, Bronze Warlord, Silver Warlord, Gold Warlord, Titled Warlord.

Knight: Copper Emblem Knight, Silver Emblem Knight, Gold Emblem Knight, Copper Emblem Commander, Silver Emblem Commander, Gold Emblem Commander, Titled Commander.

Level Standards:

The gap between each level is 500 index points.

Warriors and Knights have three indicators: bone quality (innate bones), muscle strength, and battle energy. All must reach 500 index points to level up.

Mages have only two indicators: magic sensitivity and magic control index.

There are special magic meters to measure these.

Chapter 001: Blood Relatives on a Strange Road

"Thud!"

A burly man, just over two meters tall, fell heavily to his knees, draped in chains, his mouth gagged with hemp, and no matter how his strong body struggled, he could only let out muffled sounds, like the wind in the depths of the night.

The one the burly man knelt before was actually just a teenage boy. The boy sat motionless in his chair, his skin fair, forehead smooth, eyes melancholy. Judging by his looks, he would probably grow up to be a heartbreaker, the bane of ladies in their boudoirs. Unfortunately, his build was rather thin; in the Abyss of Demons, women also worship the strong, and such a physique was far from the image of a strong man. Yet, the burly man was kneeling before him.

The boy looked somewhat dazedly at the burly man before him. The hatred in the man's eyes was like the most venomous seven-eyed viper in the Abyss of Demons, but facing such a gaze, there was not a trace of fear or panic on the teenage boy's face.

Sitting beside the boy was a middle-aged man who nodded in satisfaction, clearly a bit surprised by the child's composure.

The middle-aged man was elegant and noble, with a graceful demeanor. His black fine wool coat was smooth and neat, the lapels embroidered with decorative magical patterns in gold thread, the cuffs adorned with pure gold cufflinks, his wavy golden hair neatly combed behind his ears, a crimson gemstone ring on his left hand, and a pair of shiny high boots made from high-grade magical beast leather on his feet.

Behind the man stood four attendants with their hands at their sides. Judging by the badges on their chests, even the lowest was a level-four beginner professional. In the seven-level system of the Abyss of Demons, a level-four professional is definitely a top expert. Yet such people could only serve as servants to this middle-aged man, which shows just how noble his status was.

The middle-aged man rose gracefully and slowly walked behind the burly man kneeling on the ground. Looking at the boy sitting in the chair, he said calmly, "Drink him."

The boy looked up at the middle-aged man, unmoved. The man's eyes were full of expectation, but suddenly his elegance vanished. He violently grabbed the burly man's hair and yanked his head back hard, making his neck stretch taut, veins standing out clearly. The middle-aged man shouted, "Hurry up and drink him!"

The boy quickly recovered from his initial shock, but his gaze was especially stubborn. He pressed his lips together and shook his head resolutely. The middle-aged man flew into a rage. A whirlwind rose at his feet, air currents swirling, black energy surging upward.

"Ah—" he roared, two sharp fangs extending from beneath his lips. His originally bright blue eyes instantly turned blood red as he glared angrily at the boy. "This is your last chance. Drink him!" The boy slowly opened his mouth, revealing neat, white teeth, but there was no sign of fangs meant for sucking blood.

The middle-aged man was bitterly disappointed. His shoulders slumped, the violent air currents vanished, and he returned to normal.
