Chapter 3

No matter how much William Brooks encouraged humanity, no matter how much it helped, it was never able to save humanity from destruction. It watched as humans stepped by step marched toward extinction, and as the consciousness of humanity, it too would disappear along with their demise.

For the first time, William Brooks was seized by an impulse, expending most of its own power to extract a full thirty thousand years of human history, transforming it into the The Brooks World.

By losing this most difficult period of history, by erasing this era of destruction, humanity finally regained a peaceful and tranquil life.

Within the thirty thousand years of time it had extracted and transformed into the The Brooks World, William Brooks fought endless battles against the cruel celestial phenomena and the infinite evil spirits. This struggle lasted for hundreds of thousands of years, yet there was still no dawn of victory.

William Brooks cleaved through meteors and drew away the most difficult thirty thousand years, leaving no trace in human memory or even in the long river of history. The only thing that remained was the legend of “Pangu creating the heavens and the earth.”

After the birth of Edward Brooks, William Brooks continuously extracted humanity’s disasters and hardships from the river of time, allowing humans to thrive, live in comfort, and spread civilization.

The The Brooks Mythic Era sealed away all the destruction crises in recorded history, so this was a world filled with disasters everywhere: floods raged at all times, meteors crashed to earth periodically, glaciers and droughts alternated, fire and torrential rain came together, ferocious beasts ran rampant, evil spirits were everywhere, and the sun scorched the land like a furnace...

This was a world beyond words to describe, where William Brooks alone bore the vast majority of humanity’s suffering.

The Bolton Era——

After experiencing one cataclysm after another bestowed by nature, even though William Brooks extracted the disasters, humanity had not completely escaped the fate of destruction; a small remnant still lingered in the main world.

Over thousands of years, the earth underwent terrifying changes: mountains constantly rose, lands sank, rivers were carved out, countless tributaries formed, floods raged, and all kinds of venomous snakes and fierce beasts threatened the survival of all humans.

Occasionally, evil spirits that escaped from the The Brooks World would wreak havoc, making human life still full of crisis.

Despite countless efforts, William Brooks was never able to completely eradicate these disasters. It devoted all its energy to managing the The Brooks World, and became increasingly powerless to help humanity. It could only choose seven people to save the world—this was the first time William Brooks selected saviors from among humans.

These seven saviors were: John Brooks, George Brooks, Thomas Brooks, James Brooks, Samuel Brooks, Henry Brooks, and Charles Brooks!

All seven of these saviors, in the midst of hardship, developed the idea of saving the world, each forming their own vision of salvation. According to the normal course of events, they would all die one after another under the world’s backlash, but William Brooks gave them another chance...

This time, William Brooks not only extracted three thousand years of history, but also sealed off hundreds of thousands of miles of land, enclosing the most perilous mountains, the most flood-prone rivers, the deep mountains and marshes inhabited by venomous snakes and fierce beasts, dense forests and high mountains—every place unsuitable for human habitation—into a second legendary world.

Extracting and sealing worlds was a long process. Everything William Brooks did was imperceptible to the humans of the main world; they would forget the world that once was. Only occasionally, due to William Brooks’s oversight, would some relics from the previous era remain, prompting the wisest among them to reflect.

The main world was always peaceful and harmonious. Although there were wars, there was never an extinction-level crisis—a world just like our own reality.

The seven people chosen by William Brooks each gathered like-minded followers in this world, established different tribes, implemented different philosophies, and strove to govern this world.

Almost all of humanity’s most brilliant myths originated from this legendary world. In different civilizations, they took on different forms: great floods, the sun going out, eternal ice ages, years-long droughts, fires burning for thousands of miles, giant beasts destroying cities, man-eating demons, cruel evil spirits...

Of the seven saviors chosen by William Brooks, some fell in battle due to mistaken beliefs, some gave up their responsibilities as saviors because their tasks were truly impossible, and some were killed in wars with others.

In the end, it was actually someone not chosen by William Brooks—a youth from Charles Brooks’s tribe named The Bolton Dynasty—who realized that humanity needed to unite. Unable to persuade Charles Brooks, he left Charles Brooks’s tribe and wandered the land for more than ten years, observing each tribe’s situation and gathering strength.

Until one day, The Bolton Dynasty believed he could change humanity’s future. He persuaded a tribe that had lost its leader and was left leaderless, became their chief, and led this small tribe in a bitter and extraordinary struggle.

He encouraged childbirth, imparted knowledge, made his tribe stronger and stronger, absorbed the remnants of destroyed tribes, sheltered the young and weak, and gathered them around him, creating the first tribal alliance in human history.

He also united all the power of the tribal alliance to slay giant beasts, dig river channels, extinguish raging fires, and make the living environment better... All this made The Bolton Dynasty’s prestige grow ever higher, and the tribal alliance expanded from just a few at the beginning to eight hundred tribes.
