William Brooks had no choice but to cut off human history, and also banished the Second Technological World, allowing humanity to redevelop civilization.

This time, humanity discovered the secret of life, creating countless viruses and species, and endlessly modifying themselves, causing the form of human life to undergo tremendous changes.

Michael Bolton dragged his suitcase and got into a taxi at the train station’s taxi waiting area, speaking to the driver in fluent local dialect: “Sir, go all the way down Xibao Road and drop me off at the entrance of Changyang Apartments.”

The driver stepped on the gas and drove forward, glancing at Michael Bolton’s young face in the rearview mirror. “Young man, just got back from out of town? Studying or working out there?”

Michael Bolton smiled. “Do I still look like a student? I’ve been working for several years now.”

It was already his third year after graduating from university and entering the workforce, but he always dressed simply and neatly. In summer, it was just a pair of jeans, a T-shirt, and sneakers, unchanged for years, so he still looked very much like a student.
