Their enemies were nearly half of the gods from the Zhou Earth Mythic Era. Three true gods wanted to establish a world of their own, and they persuaded those gods who valued freedom and detachment. These gods gathered extremely powerful forces that the power represented by Benjamin Brooks could not possibly contend with.
The mission of the four saviors was to prevent these gods from seizing control of the Zhou Earth Mythic Era and to make Benjamin Brooks the ruler of the Zhou Earth Mythic Era. If those gods who valued detachment gained control of the Zhou Earth World, humanity’s main world would inevitably have to face the Zhou Earth Mythic Era directly, and at any moment, gods, humans, demons, and monsters from the Zhou Earth Mythic Era could emerge and destroy it.
In the end, the four saviors defeated the three most powerful true gods from the Zhou Earth Mythic Era, shattered their plans to rule the Zhou Earth World, and helped Benjamin Brooks become the master of the Heavenly Court.
Although Shang’s goal was not achieved—the gods of the Zhou Earth World were simply too powerful—Shang’s plan only managed to slow the collapse of the Zhou Earth World and did not completely solve the problem. However, they did succeed in building an entirely new world, and the Heavenly Court Era became the second barrier for the human world.
These four saviors also received rewards from William Brooks; they became one of the true gods of the Heavenly Court, assisting Benjamin Brooks in maintaining the balance between the Zhou Earth Mythic Era and the main world.
Yet the conflict between order and detachment could never be reconciled.

The Era of Detachment—
Some of the gods from the Zhou Earth Era could never accept order, nor did they recognize the power of ritual and music. However, after the failure of their three leaders, they could not resist the crushing force of the Heavenly Court, so some tried to look to the long river of history, seeking allies in the future.
They soon found the third gene civilization, which had been exiled by William Brooks, and sent an envoy, Olivia Carter.
Olivia Carter concealed her identity, entered the world of the third gene civilization, and learned genetic technology, performing powerful modifications on herself.
Olivia Carter obtained the technology of the third gene civilization, quietly established a powerful force that combined the Zhou Earth World and the third gene civilization, and sought help from the Zhou Earth Era, gaining countless helpers.
To be carefree and unrestrained does not mean having no desires, but rather that greed and desire become increasingly unrestrained. Olivia Carter did not even want the gods of the detachment faction from the Zhou Earth Era to interfere with her; she betrayed everyone, including the gods of the Zhou Earth Era and the third gene civilization.
Absolute freedom is equivalent to having no freedom at all.
In order to maximize her own freedom, Olivia Carter could only choose the strictest rules to restrain her subordinates. Although she knew this went against her own ideals, she had no other choice.
The strictest rules, paradoxically, did not appear in the ritual-abiding Heavenly Court, but in the detachment-pursuing Era of Detachment.
Olivia Carter’s subordinates soon could not bear Olivia Carter as their ruler. Because they had betrayed everyone, they could not seek help from the gods of the Zhou Earth Era or the third gene civilization, who had once been their allies. In the end, they turned to the opposing factions and sent out requests for help to the Xuan Shang Era and the Heavenly Court Era.
William Brooks, Shang, and Benjamin Brooks ultimately decided to send a team of saviors to help these traitors.
This team of saviors came from different mythic eras, setting out from different worlds, and were not familiar with each other. So they made an agreement: each savior would have a common symbol representing William Brooks’s “eye.” This eye symbol represented the omnipresence of William Brooks’s gaze.

The Qin Origin Era—
When William Brooks withdrew from the Zhou Earth Mythic Era, due to a small oversight, a tiny but crucial segment of time was left behind.
Olivia Carter, forced by the saviors and unable to fully control the Era of Detachment, found this small segment of time and used it to launch a counterattack. She enabled a country called Zeng to obtain technology from the third gene civilization. Zeng did not know that it was Olivia Carter who gave them this technology, thinking it was a gift from the third gene civilization. They wanted to defeat all other countries, achieve unification, and help the third gene civilization return to the main world.
William Brooks was busy maintaining the stability of the Qiantian Era and could not intervene directly, so he made a quick remedy by passing the message to the First Mechanical Civilization and seeking a savior from the main world.
The First Mechanical Civilization sent David Carter, who joined forces with the savior Richard Clark, temporarily alleviating the crisis, thwarting Zeng’s conspiracy, preventing the return of the third gene civilization, and maintaining the normal trajectory of human history.
As a result, the third gene civilization also learned of this crucial period and joined the struggle for the Qin Origin Era.
Under the leadership of the First Emperor of Qin, humanity achieved unification for the first time, establishing an unprecedented great empire and creating a brilliant civilization. The unified First Emperor of Qin not only received help from the First Mechanical Civilization but also possessed powers left over from the Zhou Earth Mythic Era. He resisted William Brooks’s withdrawal and used forbidden magic to block William Brooks’s power, seeking to make his country the only one in the main world and to rule forever.
William Brooks could only send saviors—countless saviors sacrificed themselves one after another, finally overthrowing this unprecedented unified dynasty, shattering the power that protected it, allowing William Brooks’s power to descend and extract the Qin Origin Era from the main world.
In the main world, the Qin dynasty perished in its second generation. Zeng briefly formed a unified dynasty as well, becoming the first feudal unified dynasty in Chinese history.
