Chapter 4

“Damn, our dorm B-13 just produced the twelfth Level-4 Swordsman in the academy, Charlie is really something else. Haha, once this guy becomes a Level-4 Swordsman, we’ll have him challenge that ice-cold beauty. Who knows, maybe then we’ll have a shot at getting into the A-2 dorm! Hahahaha!” Thinking of this, Lincoln couldn’t help but burst out laughing.

Birds of a feather flock together—how true that is.

“Yeah, yeah, I heard the beauties in the A-2 girls’ dorm are all stunning. If I could marry one of them, I’d have no regrets in this life.”

“Hurry, we need to act fast and start gathering first-hand information, so we can plan for a wonderful future. If we waste precious time, that would be truly unforgivable.”

The two of them laughed like maniacs, drawing the attention of many passersby, who looked at them with disdain and quickly distanced themselves.

“Hmph, Level-4 Swordsman, so what?” A crisp, cold snort sounded right by Lincoln’s ear: “That Charles Lincoln, right? Even if he becomes a Level-4 Swordsman, so what? Our senior Grace Lincoln beat him once, she can beat him again. A bunch of country bumpkins, don’t even know your own place. Walking around the academy, making fools of yourselves, and you actually dare to set your sights on our A-2 dorm.”

Lincoln and Carrie Lincoln were in high spirits, but having a bucket of cold water dumped on them like this naturally made them unhappy.

Lincoln glanced at the girl who spoke. Her look of disdain instantly made his temper flare, and he retorted, “Oh, it’s you, Jane Lincoln. Aren’t you just a sidekick to the ice beauty? Just a green leaf to set off the flower. What right do you have to shout here?”

A flash of anger crossed Jessica Lincoln’s face. “Two clowns—what do you think you are?”

“Yes, yes, we’re nothing, but Miss Jessica Lincoln, you’re really something, right? Is that good enough for you?”

Jane Lincoln had always followed Grace Lincoln around, basking in her glory. Plus, she was quite attractive herself, so people usually treated her with respect wherever she went. No one had ever insulted her like this before. Furious, she snapped, “You two little Level-3 Swordsmen, how dare you be so disrespectful to me! Hurry up and apologize to me!”

“Apologize? You? Seems like you came over here just to get insulted. If you’re looking for it, who can you blame? Hey, Carrie Lincoln, what do we usually call people who go out of their way to get insulted?”

“Masochist.”

“Hahahaha, even if you know, you don’t have to be so blunt.”

“I’m usually pretty subtle, but with certain big-breasted, brainless women, there’s no choice. If we’re not direct, they might think we’re complimenting them.”

“Well said. Looks like with some people, subtlety just doesn’t work.”

Jane Lincoln’s face turned deathly pale with rage. Gritting her teeth, she said, “Fine, fine, remember what you said today. Two Level-3 Swordsmen, and you dare to be so arrogant in front of me.”

“Just little Level-3 Swordsmen! Oh, I’m so scared. We’re just little Level-3 Swordsmen, but someone here doesn’t even measure up to that, right? Level-2 Swordsman—what’s that? Tiny? Insignificant?” As Carrie Lincoln spoke, he deliberately let his gaze linger on Jane Lincoln’s chest. “Doesn’t look tiny to me. Looks like plenty of guys have enjoyed it already.”

That was a vicious thing to say. Jane Lincoln was only fifteen or sixteen, and if word of this got out, it could ruin her life.

Immediately, Jane Lincoln’s face turned ashen, then flushed so red it looked like she might burst into flames. Practically screaming in a crazed voice, she yelled, “You… you’re dead! My boyfriend will make you pay for what you said today! Just wait! If I, Jane Lincoln, don’t teach you two a lesson you’ll never forget, I won’t bother staying at Ziyun Intermediate Academy anymore!” With that, she shot them a venomous glare and stormed off in fury.

“A boyfriend? A little brat who still smells of milk, and she’s already talking about love? That’s hilarious. Haha, so what if she’s landed a rich guy? We’re not scared. Bring your boyfriend, we’ll take him on.” Lincoln watched Jessica Lincoln leave as if fleeing, chuckled, and, feeling great, couldn’t help but laugh out loud. “Finally, someone from our B-13 dorm can act tough for once. I’ve always been annoyed by those A-dorms, always acting high and mighty.”

“Of course. Now that our B-13 dorm will have a Level-4 Swordsman, we’ll rule the whole academy, haha.”

“Exactly, exactly. Let’s go, let’s go. Once Charlie becomes a Level-4 Swordsman, good times are coming for us.”

A few bystanders who had witnessed the whole scene seemed fed up with the two’s arrogance and couldn’t help but say, “I don’t know if good times are coming, but what I do know is, your B-13 dorm is in big trouble.”

“What’s there to be afraid of? As long as they don’t send a few Level-4 Swordsmen, who would we be scared of?”
