"If you want to search, it's not entirely impossible, but how do I know if this isn't someone deliberately targeting me? If you want to search, then all the boys have to be searched. If you only search my place, then no one is getting in, not even half a step."
Lily Young said, "Once we've searched here, of course we'll search the other places too. Do you need to teach me that?"
"No way, absolutely not." Blake Carter smiled lazily, but his words were unyielding. "I need them to give me their word. What if they go back on it later? Who am I supposed to complain to then?"
Peter Hughes said coolly, "Blake Carter, if you have nothing to hide, you shouldn't be afraid of anything. Who exactly are you trying to drag down with you?"
Blake Carter chuckled, "I'm just afraid some people do have something to hide, and their shadows are even more crooked than the wall. The guilty party files the suit first. I'll say it again: everyone here gets searched, then I'll allow it. Peter Hughes, you're from a wealthy family—why not set an example?"
Peter Hughes said seriously, "If Miss Yun wants to search my dorm, I have no objections whatsoever."
David Bolton chimed in, "You can search my place anytime too."
The others all nodded in agreement, each expressing that they had a clear conscience and would not make excuses.
Lily Young saw that Blake Carter kept obstructing things and was now somewhat suspicious. After everyone else had spoken up, she said coldly, "Everyone's made their stance clear. Blake Carter, if you don't move aside, don't blame me for being rude."
Blake Carter hated being threatened the most. His previously smiling face instantly turned cold as he said flatly, "Whether you're rude or not, it's all the same to me. I, Qin, will let you search, but remember, it's not to give you face—I'm just curious to see who ends up being the real joke."
Blake Carter was usually polite to women, but this Lily Young had a harsh look and an annoying tone, and her high-and-mighty heiress attitude made Blake Carter feel utterly bored.
He casually flung the door wide open, exposing everything to the onlookers.
"Keep your eyes wide open, everyone. If you want to see me make a fool of myself, you might be disappointed today!"
Peter Hughes glanced at Eric Lee, who was one of the two who had stolen the girls' clothes earlier and was the main one framing Blake Carter. When Peter Hughes looked at him, his eyes immediately shifted to the box under the bed.
Lily Young scanned the whole dorm, and finally her gaze locked onto that box. With a flick of her foot, she hooked the box out from under the bed.
Blake Carter sneered, "Miss Yun, if you're afraid my box is too dirty for your hands, then don't check it. Using your foot to hook my box—what's that supposed to mean? Is that how you show your sense of superiority?"
Lily Young turned back and gave Blake Carter a meaningful glance, her eyes full of an indescribable contempt, as if she saw Blake Carter as insignificant as dust.
David Bolton was already rubbing his fists, and Peter Hughes was staring motionlessly at the box. All eyes were fixed on it.
It was as if all the world's evil was hidden in that box at this very moment!
Chapter 0010: Who Is the Real Scoundrel
Those who knew the inside story were already holding their breath, waiting for the climax of this drama. Some were even imagining how Miss Yun would react in a fit of rage the next moment.
Suddenly, Blake Carter laughed. "Miss Yun, I advise you not to open this box. The things inside aren't very decent."
Accompanying his scratching and fidgeting, our Blake Carter actually "blushed," making the others even more suspicious, thinking he was definitely hiding something.
"Open it, open it! There's definitely something fishy in there," the crowd jeered.
Lily Young raised her arm, a cold flash glinting as a sharp dagger appeared, slicing straight at the box.
Crash!
The box split in two, spilling out a heap of stuff—smelly socks, old clothes, ragged towels... everything imaginable!
A hint of a wanton smile appeared at the corner of Blake Carter's mouth as he looked mockingly at the martial arts students hoping to see him embarrassed. He muttered to himself, "What a pity, sorry to disappoint you all."
Lily Young swept her gaze over everything but didn't find what she was looking for. She frowned and walked out, grumbling with a dark expression, "Are all you boys this unhygienic?"
Peter Hughes and David Bolton exchanged glances, glaring at Eric Lee, clearly confused as to why the expected stolen goods weren't in the box.
Eric Lee was also dumbfounded. He had put the stuff in there himself—how had it disappeared in the blink of an eye?
Blake Carter laughed and made a sarcastic remark: "Really, it wasn't easy for me to pack up all this old junk, and now it's all over the floor and no one helps me clean up. Don't you people know any manners? Looks like all that noble etiquette was learned for nothing."
Lily Young was already annoyed, and hearing Blake Carter go on and on, she suddenly turned around and glared sharply at Blake Carter, warning, "Blake Carter, tonight's business isn't over!"
Blake Carter curled his lip. "Finish it or not, what's it got to do with me? But let me say this first: you've searched my room, so you can't skip anyone else's dorm."
He was bold and straightforward, locked the door behind him, and simply followed Lily Young, joining the inspection team.
Peter Hughes saw how proactive he was and grew even more suspicious, feeling that something was off, but couldn't think of a way to deal with it for the moment.
