Chapter 11

People are like this: if tonight William Carter were still the same old William Carter, he would definitely have given up on knocking, squatted at the door until dawn, and wouldn’t even let out half a fart.

If others found out, they would surely mock and ridicule him as always, but no one would ever consider how they’d feel if they were treated the same way.

But tonight, William Carter fought back forcefully, and with just one move, left the other party with no chance to retaliate. Naturally, others would think that if it were them, they’d also fight back desperately—maybe even more fiercely!

“Sigh, so that’s how it is. Edward Grant really went too far this time. Even a rabbit will bite when it’s cornered…” Someone at the door started to speak up for William Carter.

“Have you all seen enough? If you have, then get back to wherever you came from, and close the door behind you! You, come here!”

William Carter shot a cold glance at the onlookers at the door, then raised his hand and pointed at Mark Harris.

Mark Harris, who was almost retreating out the door while clutching his swollen cheek, nearly shuddered. He really didn’t want to get hit a second time!

Chapter 005: A Slight Punishment

The students watching the commotion saw William Carter’s domineering and powerful presence. Although they were surprised at how much William Carter had changed in such a short time, none of them wanted to provoke him now, so they all dispersed and went back to their dorms to gossip.

It was truly a sheep turning into a tiger. After being bullied and ridiculed by everyone for over two years since entering high school, William Carter suddenly exploded, directly stepping on Edward Grant and slapping Mark Harris. This was definitely big news that would shake the whole school!

Seeing that no one was left around him, Mark Harris grew even more frightened. His steps forward were hesitant, and he stammered weakly, “Henry Clark, we’re classmates after all. You… you and William Carter get along, can you stop him a bit? Don’t let him hit me again…”

No matter how bad Mark Harris was, he was still just a student. He could bully others, but when it was his turn to be hit, how could he not be scared?

This guy really knew who to turn to. He knew that if there was anyone left in the dorm who could save him, it would definitely be Henry Clark.

William Carter looked at him with contempt and said with a laugh, “You don’t need to beg Henry Clark. If I want to hit you, no one can stop me. It’s useless to beg anyone! Close the door and come here!”

As he spoke, he lifted his leg and moved his foot off Edward Grant’s chest, then said to the slowly approaching Mark Harris, “Help him up.”

After all, they’d been living in the same dorm for nearly three years and were about to face the college entrance exam. William Carter didn’t want to go too far—just a little intimidation would do.

“You two, stop pretending to be asleep. Do I really have to come up there and invite you down myself?” William Carter looked up and said coolly to Brian Cooper and Samuel Reed on the upper bunks.

Brian Cooper was now full of regret, almost cursing Edward Grant in his heart. He thought, usually it was just for fun to tease and bully William Carter, but why did he have to come up with the stupid idea of not letting him in?

There was no way to justify it—they were clearly in the wrong! Sigh, what on earth did this guy take tonight to become so fierce?

But no matter what he thought, since William Carter had called his name, he didn’t dare pretend not to hear. He scrambled down from the bed, forced a smile, and fawned, “Hehe, Mr. Carter, you called me? I’ll come down right away.”

On the other side, Samuel Reed rolled his eyes as soon as he heard this. Brian Cooper really knew how to go with the flow. All those nicknames like “fat pig” and “loser” that William Carter was known for were started by him, and now, in the blink of an eye, he was calling him Mr. Carter!

He himself wasn’t too scared, because apart from occasionally mocking William Carter, he hadn’t really bullied him on purpose. It was just that since everyone in the dorm bullied William Carter, not joining in would make him seem less manly, so he just went along with the crowd.

Although he was involved in tonight’s incident, he was just echoing others, not the mastermind. Judging by William Carter’s tone, it didn’t seem like he was out for total revenge, so he didn’t say anything and just jumped down from the bed.

Mark Harris was even more terrified after being slapped by William Carter. He knew that after tonight, he’d never dare bully William Carter again!

William Carter returned to his bedside, lifted his bedding, and sat directly on the bed board. The bed immediately sagged under his weight, creaking noisily.

He glanced nonchalantly at the four trembling people standing there, and seeing the fear in their eyes, knew his goal of intimidation had been achieved. He smiled faintly and said, “Don’t just stand there, sit down wherever you like. Let’s have a good talk!”

“Brian Cooper, I remember when we first started school, I was assigned to the upper bunk, right?”

From their conversation just now, William Carter had already figured out each of their names.

Brian Cooper didn’t expect William Carter to call him out first. He hadn’t even sat down before he quickly stood up again, plastered a smile on his face, and said, “Mr. Carter, that was my fault. How about we switch back now? I’ll pack up my bedding right away.” As he spoke, he actually started to climb up.

“Sit down and stay put!” William Carter found it a bit funny, feeling sorry for his former self. Even if you stood up for yourself just once, you wouldn’t have been bullied this badly!
