Bang bang bang bang bang, it was a barrage of shots.
Twelve bullets, handed out like candy, were given to twelve elite mobs.
“Do we have to kill these too?” The three, who thought nothing could surprise them anymore, were still stunned at the end.
“I’ll leave it to you guys,” Ethan Brooks said.
The three fumbled in a panic. Their palms were sweating, waiting for James Carter's Autumn Leaf to gather the mobs, but instead, they saw him charge straight at the BOSS.
“Is he going to kill the BOSS along with them?!” the three cried out.
“Are you guys cheating?” one of them shouted.
But then they saw Autumn Brooks continue to fire bullet candy at the twelve elite mobs, then, like a train, he whistled past them.
“Should we attack?” one of them asked, voice trembling.
“Come fight the BOSS!” James Carter's voice came from the other side.
The three were stunned. Looking again, they saw Autumn Brooks actually dragging the twelve elite mobs, kiting them in circles around the field.
Now they understood: so the twelve elite mobs weren’t going to be killed, just kited around like this, while the four of them focused on taking down the BOSS?
This was true technical play! Does good gear matter? Can good gear pull off something like this?
“Amazing! Absolutely amazing!” the three exclaimed, rushing in to gang up on the BOSS.
Moments later, in the Glory world channel, the system broadcast an announcement: the five had set a new record for the First-Line Canyon dungeon.
“Cleared in one go, not bad!” Ethan Brooks praised.
“Want to go again?” The three were now completely convinced.
“Not for now, got other things to do.” Ethan Brooks had already swiftly disbanded the party. As for the reward distribution, Ethan Brooks had already discussed it with the three before James Carter arrived.
The three reluctantly bid farewell to the two experts. James Carter and Ethan Brooks then returned together to the main city of the First-Line Canyon area. Along the way, Ethan Brooks once again began enthusiastically explaining his current ideas for equipment crafting to James Carter, until the two were stopped.
“Autumn Leaf, want to have a match?”
The Striker Desert Lone stood straight in the very center of the main road leading back to the city.
The main road from the main city of the First-Line Canyon area to the leveling and dungeon zones was always crowded with players. Although not many heard what Desert Lone said, Autumn Leaf and Desert Lone, with their 100% win rates in the arena, were already famous in the Glory community. No one would dispute calling them top-tier experts; most were just curious which of the two was stronger.
So, on the road outside First-Line City, the two characters met. Any player who recognized their names stopped in their tracks.
James Carter did not refuse Desert Lone's challenge. Even Ethan Brooks, who was usually absorbed in the equipment editor and didn’t care much about winning or losing, now showed great interest.
Autumn Leaf, Desert Lone.
At this moment, no one knew that these two characters, these two people, would from this day on embark on a rivalry and competition lasting more than a decade.
Right now, everyone was just curious which of these two undefeated players would taste defeat first.
The battlefield was right by the roadside. More and more players gathered, so many that those standing too far back had their view blocked and kept jumping up and down. Trees, rocks—anywhere with a higher vantage point—were all occupied by player characters.
The two didn’t intend to cause a traffic jam, but now it seemed that even moving the fight to the roadside couldn’t prevent congestion.
“Let’s begin!” Desert Lone didn’t ask for agreement; he simply announced as he charged forward.
James Carter responded with action. Desert Lone charged fast, but his Autumn Leaf met him even faster.
Step forward.
Dash punch!
Dragon Tooth!
Both were straight-line attacks, colliding with pinpoint accuracy.
Who was stronger? Who was weaker?
Before the spectators could see the outcome of the skill collision, the two characters simultaneously sidestepped left, shifting positions and changing moves.
Sky Strike!
Autumn Leaf swung his battle spear, a level 30 orange weapon, Light Beam Dual Polar Slash, both ends tipped with blades, like a swordsman’s lightsaber slicing through the air. On the arena points exchange list, countless Battle Mage players drooled over it every day, but very few could actually exchange for it at this stage.
But Desert Lone's weapon was in no way inferior. With more wins under his belt, he naturally had more points than Autumn Leaf. At this point, Autumn Leaf only had two orange items from the exchange, while he already had three, including the weapon that players always prioritized.
Lava Fury!
Desert Lone's fists seemed to burn with flames, flowing with heat.
Collapse Fist!
A strike swung out, the burning fists seeming even fiercer at that moment.
Collision, another collision.
To the players, these two were already the top experts, yet now it seemed as if they knew nothing of technique or adaptation, like two rookie newbies, simply unleashing skills at each other, attacking each other’s bodies.
