Chapter 21

"I don't care about what you just said. Was it you who killed the Chief Justice?" On a nearby sofa, the air rippled, and Baker appeared on the couch. "She can no longer keep up with the times and will become an obstacle for the entire blood clan!" Patrick said calmly. Baker was furious. He transformed in a flash—his black skin now sported a pair of white wings! His jagged fangs looked as sharp as knives!

Patrick let out a light laugh: "A white bat, that's rare!" Baker shot forward like lightning, but Patrick was no longer there. Baker lunged at empty air. With his rich combat experience, he didn't need to turn around after missing; his two huge bat wings swept backward. Patrick struck at just the right moment, his massive strength slamming hard into Baker's wings. Unable to withstand such force, Baker's wings were slashed by Patrick's hand, his five fingers like swords—"slash!"—tearing through the white wings! Baker let out a miserable scream as the sharp finger-blades pierced his wings and even left five bloody marks on his back.

Suddenly, John Bennett appeared in front of the pursuing Patrick. Patrick abruptly halted his charge, as if inertia had no effect on him. A huge black shadow appeared in front of him—a massive scythe, which came crashing down. John Bennett reached out, and a black mist formed a solid glove on his hand. He grabbed the scythe and squeezed hard; black flames ignited, and the scythe dissolved into nothingness in the fire!

John Bennett charged forward, throwing a punch. Patrick didn't dodge at all. Just as John Bennett's fist was about to land, Patrick kicked out with his lower body, striking first despite moving second, and landed a heavy kick on John Bennett's chest, sending him flying. Patrick chased after him, but Peter Yates suddenly appeared in his path, grinning: "From the day I became a carnivore, it was destined that I could never work with you! The code of the enforcers leaves me no choice!" Patrick snorted angrily: "Foolish!" Before Peter Yates could even reach out, Patrick had already grabbed him by the throat and lifted him high into the air. Peter Yates felt that he hadn't even had a chance to use his strength before being subdued by Patrick.

Two enforcers rushed forward. John Bennett moved with strange footwork, advancing and retreating, dodging left and right, seeming to retreat but actually advancing. Baker's left hand was blood-red, all the powerful energy he had accumulated from enforcing judgment on fourteen criminals in a short time was now concentrated in that left hand. Patrick threw a punch, colliding with Baker's left hand. A massive burst of energy exploded, forcing Patrick back two steps, while Baker was sent flying! John Bennett arrived just in time, shooting a streak of black energy from his hand that formed a short sword, black flames restlessly dancing on its blade. John Bennett struck thirteen times in a row; the ancient Eastern swordsmanship left Patrick struggling to cope. In a moment of carelessness, John Bennett sliced off half of his sleeve, and the black flames clung tenaciously to the fabric, burning fiercely!

Patrick was enraged. He pressed his burning sleeve with his hand, and the clothes on his back tore apart as two pairs—four huge bat wings—unfurled. He removed his hand, and the so-called eternal Purgatory Black Flame was forcibly extinguished by him! John Bennett's heart sank. Two pairs of wings—he was on a completely different energy level from them. After transforming, Patrick's power increased dramatically. In the blink of an eye, he had already sent John Bennett flying. Peter Yates flapped his wings and charged, his teeth still stained with the blood of Thornley, whom he had just judged. Patrick didn't even spare him a glance, casually sending out a wave of energy that knocked Peter Yates down.

Patrick laughed coldly, his voice like a long-suppressed demon finally released. "I am a primordial carnivore. How could you late-generation carnivores possibly be my match?" John Bennett lay beside Baker, whose left hand was now gone, purple blood gushing from the severed wrist. Baker looked at John Bennett with a complicated expression: "Enforce judgment on me!" Qiu Yu was stunned. Baker spoke slowly and resolutely: "Enforce judgment on me. Only then will you have a chance to defeat him!" John Bennett's expression was solemn; he said nothing. Peter Yates crawled over: "He's right! Judge us. Only then can you defeat him!" "Don't hesitate any longer!" Baker urged, watching Patrick approach: "For the Chief Justice!"

Chapter 011

John Bennett had no choice. A shrill howl rang out as John Bennett transformed. Beneath his huge bat wings, a smaller pair fluttered almost imperceptibly. His sharp fangs sank deep into the neck of his comrade. Baker sighed and closed his eyes heavily. When John Bennett raised his head again, what he gently laid down was Peter Yates's corpse!
