Chapter 4

The burly man's expression looked somewhat unpleasant, but when he thought of the goat-headed man's murderous methods, he swallowed his anger.

In just a minute, all nine people had drawn a card from the goat-headed man's hand, but no one dared to turn theirs over and look.

If the card said "Liar," then it would become a matter of whether you lived or someone else did.

The hands of the four girls were trembling slightly, and the men's faces didn't look any better.

What they were drawing was not an "identity," but "life or death."

Ashley Carter took a deep breath, casually hooked his card with his finger, and moved it in front of his eyes.

He gently flipped it open.

On it, the words "Liar" were written in bold.

Chapter 3 Someone with Skills

"Liar..."

Ashley Carter repeated these three words in his mind several times. After confirming his identity, he calmly covered his card again.

Just a minute ago, he had fantasized about "everyone leaving alive."

But now, things were different.

Although he didn't know the eight people in front of him, this time, the ones to die could only be them.

"If no one has any objections, please remember the rules. There is 'one and only one liar' in this game..." The goat-headed man pointed to the sexy girl on Ashley Carter's left. "Then let's start with you and go clockwise."

"Huh? Me?" The girl was stunned, then pouted.

Ashley Carter turned his head. Starting the storytelling clockwise from the girl on his left was not in his favor.

He would be the last to speak.

In extremely tense and oppressive situations, people usually only remember the first and last speakers.

But if he raised an objection now, it would seem too out of place. He could only take it one step at a time.

The sexy girl frowned, her big eyes darting around nervously. In the end, she sighed and said, "Alright... I'll go first, but I've never been good at telling stories since I was little. If I don't do well, please don't blame me..."

At this moment, no one knew what to say, so they could only listen quietly.

The sexy girl reached out her slender finger, tucked a strand of hair behind her ear, and said:

"My name is Emily, and I am... uh... a 'technical worker.' We earn money with our skills, and I don't think it's shameful."

Only now did everyone notice that the girl named Emily was wearing very little—just a dirty, low-cut short dress that barely covered anything.

But she didn't seem to care about this at all.

"I have a lot of stories that aren't really suitable to share... Anyway, you can call me 'action,' but if you want me to 'describe,' I really don't know how to start. After all, if I had any education, who would do my job..."

"Anyway, before I came here, I was at work. But the client I met was really weird... Our shop clearly provides a place for the service, but he insisted on going to his car, saying it would be more exciting... So, to make money, I had to go with him..."

"This was my first time working in a car. I didn't expect that, although the car looked fancy, it was so cramped inside. In no time, I was drenched in sweat. I really don't know what's so 'exciting' about such a crappy place. During all this, the client's phone kept ringing, but he refused to answer it. It was driving me crazy..."

Emily seemed like she wanted to curse the client a bit more, but her eyes accidentally glanced at the corpse on the table, and she shuddered in fright. She took a deep breath and said:

"Sigh, forget it. I chose this profession, so I accept it. I just didn't expect an 'earthquake' to happen all of a sudden. At first, I thought we were moving too much, so the shaking was intense, but who knew it was a real earthquake."

At the mention of "earthquake," everyone's expression changed slightly, as if they remembered something.

"Our car was parked in an alley... and right above was a huge billboard... At that moment, my head was sticking out of the car, and I happened to see it." Emily pointed above her head, her voice trembling. "That huge billboard, I don't know why, but after a loud 'clang,' it broke and fell right onto the car. I lost consciousness..."

She let out a long breath and said, "When I woke up, I was here. I was really scared to death..."

Emily put on a pitiful expression, one that looked like it had been practiced, making the men feel a bit moved.

The tattooed man sitting next to her was slightly stunned and said, "Everyone, do we still need to keep telling our stories?"

The man in the white coat was taken aback and looked at the tattooed man. "What do you mean?"

"This 'lady' has already lied. We can just vote now," the tattooed man said confidently.

"You...! What are you talking about?!" Emily exclaimed in shock. "Where did I lie?"

The tattooed man gave Emily a cold look and said, "Your name. You said your name is 'Emily', but all hostesses use fake names. Names like 'Emily', 'Xiao Fang,' 'Lili' are all common aliases, so by hiding your real name, you've already lied."

After he finished speaking, Emily's face turned red with embarrassment.
