Chapter 19

As soon as the word “go” ended, the environment around Evan Grant changed dramatically. The central plaza filled with pale blue light instantly transformed into a small training room of less than a hundred square meters. The entire process took less than three seconds!

At this moment, in the center of the training room, a three-dimensional screen was suspended, displaying a scene of a young man battling a magical beast. In front of the screen sat three women with long, flowing hair!

Evan Grant recognized two of them: Rachel Derek and Grace Harris. The other woman, who looked somewhat aloof, could only be Emily Foster, whom even Rachel Derek addressed as “senior.”

Seeing Evan Grant appear, Rachel Derek quickly stood up and introduced, “Senior Foster, this is my brother, Dongfang... Since there were no available viewing spots left, and we didn’t want to miss the chance to watch Senior Parker attempt the first level of the Moon God Realm in person, we came over here temporarily…”

Emily Foster gave Evan Grant a cold glance. Upon noticing that he was only a third-rank martial artist, she didn’t bother wasting any more time on him, turned her face away, and focused her attention on the video playing in the room!

She ignored both Evan Grant and the slightly apologetic Rachel Derek.

Neither Rachel Derek nor Grace Harris felt any dissatisfaction about this.

Emily Foster had not only successfully passed the first level of the Moon God Realm, but was also a fifth-rank martial artist herself. She had even left Xingyao City before and killed magical beasts. In terms of overall strength, she ranked among the top ten in the entire Xingyao Academy. On top of that, her background was anything but simple. Being able to invite this senior was already something to be grateful for!

After pulling Evan Grant down to sit, Rachel Derek whispered, “Talk less and watch more. Sit quietly and see how Senior Parker manages to break through the first level of the Moon God Realm, so you’ll have some idea in your mind. If there’s anything you don’t understand, ask later—whatever you do, don’t embarrass yourself in front of Senior Foster!”

Evan Grant nodded and, together with the three of them, turned his gaze to the three-dimensional screen floating in the center of the training room!

Chapter Eleven: The Nine Strikes of Rending the Sky

The First Level of the Moon God Realm!

Every time someone applies to challenge the first level of the Moon God Realm, they are transported by the Moon God’s Light to a trial scenario. Each of these trial scenarios is completely different, and the requirements for challengers are all sorts of strange and varied. Sometimes you need to collect certain herbs in the trial area; sometimes you need to obtain a necessary item from a magical beast; sometimes you must kill a specified, limited magical beast or human; and sometimes, you’re pitted against a fifth-rank martial artist whom you must defeat!

But no matter which type it is, the tests of personal observation, reaction, intelligence, and temperament are all present. Of course, the most important thing is still strength. If your strength is sufficient—if you’re a fifth- or sixth-rank martial artist—most people can break through the first level of the Moon God Realm and obtain a one-star privilege.

At this moment on the screen, Scott Parker, ranked seventh among the top ten figures of Xingyao Academy, was being besieged by twenty-three demonized giant hounds. These demonized giant hounds were third-rank magical beasts, not only as large as tigers, but their physical prowess was in no way inferior to the king of beasts itself. What’s more, they were pack animals, skilled at coordinated attacks, making them an even greater threat than twenty-three tigers.

“Looks like the only thing to watch out for is the king among the demonized giant hounds! The king is a fourth-rank magical beast, and as a magical beast, its physical strength surpasses that of humans. It can command the other twenty-three demonized giant hounds to coordinate with its actions, which poses a real threat to Scott Parker!”

Grace Harris, watching Scott Parker use the terrain to divide and conquer the twenty-three demonized giant hounds, spoke with some excitement.

“Scott Parker is truly powerful! I’d guess his physical strength is already at the peak of a fourth-rank martial artist. Plus, he’s mastered four martial techniques: Cloud-Pushing Palm, Wind-Shattering Finger, Nine Strikes of Rending the Sky, and Illusory Water Ripple Step. He could even hold his own against a fifth-rank martial artist. With such strength, no wonder he dares to make his attempt at the first level of the Moon God Realm public! Looks like getting the one-star privilege is no problem. I just wonder what rating he’ll get for it!”

“It should be an ‘ordinary’ rating. In our current class at Xingyao Academy, only one person has ever received an ‘excellent’ rating! That’s Senior Hamilton, who’s now considered the number one at Xingyao Academy!”

“Senior Hamilton… He’s my second idol! Other than Lord Ning Fangyuan, the person I admire most is Senior Hamilton! Ah, I wonder when I’ll ever reach his level!”

Emily Foster glanced at Grace Harris, who had just spoken. Even someone as proud as her could only sigh softly when faced with someone like Eric Hamilton: “Senior Hamilton… a nineteen-year-old seventh-rank martial artist… three-star privilege in the Moon God Realm. That kind of genius will almost certainly become an innate secret-realm-level powerhouse in the future. He’s not someone we can hope to catch up to!”

After a brief pause, Emily Foster continued, “Let’s talk about Senior Parker. He’s at the peak of the fourth-rank martial artists… Once he breaks through the first level of the Moon God Realm and absorbs the world energy from the one-star privilege, he’ll be able to advance to the fifth rank right away. Xingyao Academy will have yet another elite student!”
