After dropping such a domineering line, Tiger Girl strode off with great swagger.
Brian Cooper was the first to rush over to Eric Turner and said, “Bro, you... you really awakened? What kind of special move do you have? Come on, come on, teach your brother quickly!”
Of course, Eric Turner had no special moves to teach. Just as he was about to make an excuse, Evan Clark stepped in to help him out: “Eric Turner awakened his bloodline after having a close encounter with the Unihorned Giant Worm.”
“If you think you can handle that, you can give it a try.”
Brian Cooper immediately wilted, and the charming woman beside him quickly comforted him, looking very considerate.
“Eric Turner, this is your sister-in-law, Little Grace!” Brian Cooper recovered quickly, put his arm around the woman, and said, “Little Grace, you’ve seen Eric Turner’s strength. If you have any suitable sisters, you must introduce them to him!”
“He’s my good brother, after all.”
“If it were before, I’d say leave it to me. But just now, Tiger Girl said that Eric Turner is her man,” Little Grace glanced at Eric Turner, looking troubled. “Since Tiger Girl said that, I really can’t help.”
Eric Turner was secretly pleased. He had no such intentions—he’d just arrived here and wasn’t about to rush into marriage.
“Eric Turner, since you’re not going to the bridal chamber, come with me to test your bloodline. Let’s see what level of bloodline power you’ve awakened.”
Evan Clark’s words instantly drew everyone’s attention.
Chapter 7: Strength Test
Most of the passages in Survival Point 9532 were dark, damp, and hard to walk through, but the passage Eric Turner followed Evan Clark down this time was twice as wide, and you could walk upright the whole way.
Walking upright sounds simple, but to achieve that takes a lot of manpower and resources.
As he entered the passage, Eric Turner saw two armed warriors standing guard. They were very respectful to Evan Clark, but looked Eric Turner up and down with scrutinizing eyes.
Eric Turner knew that if it weren’t for Evan Clark bringing him, he probably wouldn’t have been able to get in here at all.
At the end of the passage, Eric Turner saw a hall the size of a basketball court. What shocked him was that the hall was supported by ten massive reinforced concrete pillars, and both the ceiling and the floor were poured concrete.
“Brother Yu!”
“Boss Yu!”
Several warriors who were training greeted Evan Clark warmly. Eric Turner could feel the surging vitality from them.
“You guys keep training, I’m going to test his bloodline strength.” Evan Clark responded to everyone’s enthusiasm, then said to a sturdy man, “Little Scott, look after Eric Turner for me, I’ll be right over.”
This Little Scott looked about twenty-five or twenty-six, and naturally had little in common with the sixteen- or seventeen-year-old Eric Turner.
“Kid, you’re Eric Turner?” Little Scott looked Eric Turner up and down curiously. “Tsk tsk, you really do look impressive.”
Although Little Scott was complimenting him, something about the tone felt off. Eric Turner just nodded vaguely.
“Hey guys, come take a look, Tiger Girl’s man is here!”
At Little Scott’s shout, the people who had been training excitedly ran over, staring at Eric Turner as if he were some kind of oddity.
You’re the one who’s Tiger Girl’s man! Eric Turner was secretly annoyed, but didn’t show it on his face. Little Scott was just being mouthy—not enough to make Eric Turner lose his temper.
“To be Tiger Girl’s man and get Boss Yu’s attention, kid, you must have some skills. Come on, let’s have a go!” The speaker was a short, stocky man, his flippant tone clearly provocative.
If Little Scott was just teasing, this guy was definitely up to no good.
Eric Turner looked at the people crowding around and knew he couldn’t back down now.
Mocking someone is like a spring—the weaker you are, the stronger they get. Eric Turner quickly said, “Alright, let’s do it, just a friendly match.”
“It’s just, I’m not a bloodline warrior yet, so please go easy on me, big bro!”
“Don’t worry, I won’t use any bloodline power!” the man said proudly. But Little Scott shot him a disdainful look—these guys might have purer bloodlines than ordinary people, but they hadn’t truly awakened yet.
Naturally, they didn’t have any real bloodline power!
“Big bro, what if I can’t take it?” Eric Turner asked cautiously, as if worried.
The man was quite pleased by Eric Turner’s words, and said with a proud smile, “Yell! If it hurts, just yell! I’ll let go right away!”
Eric Turner stretched out his hand, trembling, looking scared. Little Scott gave the man a subtle reminder: “Old Lee, this kid was brought by Boss Yu, so take it easy!”
“I know, I know what I’m doing! Kid, if you can’t take it, just yell!”
As he spoke, Old Lee grabbed Eric Turner’s hand and squeezed hard with one hand.
For Old Lee to be training here, his skills were naturally solid. His bloodline was on the verge of awakening, and this time he was determined to make Eric Turner look bad.
Unfortunately, though his strength was great, Eric Turner had already trained the Thirteen Guardians’ Iron Body to the fifth level—blades and spears couldn’t harm him, his muscles and bones were like iron. This kind of strength had no effect on Eric Turner at all.
