Chapter 4

Hearing these words, the man and woman in the back seat looked even grimmer. Meanwhile, the man outside the car smiled, “Sorry, please don’t be nervous. I’ve temporarily taken over this vehicle, but I haven’t damaged it. However, I’ll need you and the passengers inside to cooperate with our work next.”

After speaking, the man took out a work ID and displayed it.

【Tianjing City Special Administration Bureau】【Wendy Green】

Upon seeing the words “Tianjing City Special Administration Bureau,” Mr. Smith’s eyes widened in shock, his mouth agape in disbelief.

The Special Affairs Administration Bureau, directly under the Huaxia Homeworld government, holds authority above any individual government agency, and is dedicated to handling all kinds of difficult and unusual cases.

In other words, anything related to the Special Administration Bureau is never an ordinary incident.

At the same time, a loud bang erupted from the back seat. The woman trained in martial arts twisted her body and suddenly kicked the car door! The heavy door of the old model hovercar flew out like a piece of paper!

In the next instant, the male and female passengers darted out through the breach on the right side of the car, moving with inhuman speed.

Yet someone moved even faster.

A moment before, the young man from the Special Administration Bureau had been at the front left of the car, showing his ID to the driver and passengers. The next moment, he had already circled around to the right side, blocking the two passengers’ path.

The male passenger gritted his teeth and threw a punch. His arm crackled with arcs of electricity, his fist gleaming with metallic luster, blasting forward like a cannonball.

Even a concrete wall would crumble before such a punch.

The woman suddenly changed direction, sprinting to the side with the speed and agility of a cheetah.

Even a hungry beast would be unable to react to such a sudden move.

In response, the young man from the Special Administration Bureau simply smiled and threw a punch and a palm strike.

The punch was aimed at the fierce man—fist against fist, flesh and blood against an electromagnetically powered iron fist. A piercing crack rang out, followed by a series of sharp metallic screeches. The man howled in pain as his sturdy steel right hand shattered into broken pieces.

The palm strike was aimed at the swift woman. His arm snaked out in a strange, elongated arc, and his hand clamped perfectly around the woman’s neck, lifting her straight off the ground!

In the blink of an eye, in a single round, the two passengers lost all ability to resist.

“Su-super soldier?! Why would you…”

The woman, her face turning purple as she struggled, choked out the words.

“If I’m not mistaken, you two should be Lone Wolf and She-Wolf, the infamous A-class fugitives from Sakura Island? Actually, if you were willing to abide by Huaxia’s laws, I wouldn’t mind letting you enter the country. But unfortunately, you two crossed the line.”

The man lying on the ground said, “We didn’t do anything!”

“Didn’t you? You took a contract from the Galactic Society, five million credits as payment, attempted to assassinate the daughter of the Wen Group’s chairman, then forged identities to enter the country, hacked into the digital security system of the Qingyun District villa, illegally recorded footage, downloaded data… Did I get any of that wrong?”

“…Falling into the hands of a super soldier from the Tianjing Special Administration Bureau, we admit defeat. If we’d known you were here, we wouldn’t have come no matter what. But the Galactic Society won’t just let this go. Now that they know you’re here, the next people they send won’t be as easy to deal with as us.”

The young man named Wendy Green smiled, “Yeah, if an S-class expert gets involved, that would be a real headache. So it’s best not to let anyone know I’m here. Luckily, I stopped you before you left Qingyun District, so the news is still under control.”

As he spoke, two black mid-sized hovercars pulled up beside him. Wendy Green tossed Lone Wolf and She-Wolf into the cars and waved for them to leave quickly.

Then, he walked over to the taxi.

Inside, the driver was shaking like a leaf, cold sweat pouring down his face. When he saw Wendy Green approach, he was so frightened he couldn’t even speak.

“Sir, there’s no need to worry. I heard the entire conversation in the car just now. This has nothing to do with you. As long as you cooperate with me a little, you’ll be free to go.”

As he spoke, Wendy Green took a pair of sunglasses from his breast pocket and put them on, then pulled out a short red baton with his right hand.

“Here, look this way.”

In the next moment, a red light flashed. The driver was caught in the beam, his gaze growing vacant, then he slumped over the steering wheel and fell into a deep sleep.

“Could I get two people to send this gentleman back to the lower district? His memory of today has been wiped. Remember to give him a suggestion so there are no loose ends.”

……

Late at night, lower district, Silver Wing Food Stall.

This food stall, built in a residential area, was always bustling with customers. Even late at night, the place was packed.

A battered old hover taxi slowly pulled up at the entrance, and a weathered-looking man stepped out. He walked in, exhausted and dazed, his eyes wandering blankly around the room before finding a somewhat dirty empty table in a corner and sitting down. He reached out to the electronic menu on the table and ordered beer, peanuts, and a rice bowl.

Before long, a tall waiter came over carrying greasy dishes and a bottle of beer. As he walked, a familiar smile was already spreading across his face.
