In her deep blue eyes, there was an unparalleled fervor, as if a flame was burning within them. Nothing and no one could shake her faith any longer.
William Clark had no doubt that, with just a single command from him, she would not hesitate even if he ordered her to take her own life.
"This, this, this... h-how is this possible?!"
The bearded man and several soldiers were stunned by the scene before them. In just a few breaths, that frail Catherine had her aura rise again and again.
Now, though she was still kneeling in the mud, there was an awe-inspiring presence about her that made others feel as if they were looking up at a towering mountain, filling their hearts with fear.
Could it be, could it be that within that radiance, the God of Light had truly descended? Yes, that must be it. Only a true deity could possess such power to turn the clouds with a flip of the hand.
An overwhelming sense of terror enveloped them. A deity—this was a deity!
In their entire lives, this was the first time they had witnessed the descent of a god. What made them despair was that, just moments before, they had blasphemed this very deity with their words. Would they be judged?

Chapter 5: Another Follower
……
The bearded man and the soldiers looked at each other, deep fear in their eyes.
"Go~ hurry up~"
The bearded man suddenly snapped out of it. Sensing the danger, he grabbed his spear and prepared to sneak away.
The other soldiers, seeing this, also tiptoed, trying to escape.
William Clark immediately noticed them. With a sweep of his divine sense, he instantly saw through the strength of everyone present.
All the soldiers were level zero, the bearded man and the young warrior were level one—extremely weak. The only one barely worth his attention was the young warrior, whose potential was of medium grade, with a slim chance of reaching level four in this lifetime.
However, this young warrior seemed to be on the little girl's side, so having better potential was a good thing.
With his mind made up, he lowered his voice and spoke to Catherine with authority, "Only the strong can grasp their fate. Go, Catherine, use your own strength to change your destiny."
His voice was "authoritative" and full of allure, transmitted into Catherine's mind through divine power, adding an inexplicable sense of divinity.
Catherine had been a little afraid, but upon hearing this, it was as if she suddenly had something to rely on. Great courage welled up in her heart, and her eyes burned with fanaticism: "Sister Catherine obeys the will of my Lord God."
As her words fell, she slowly stood up, her expression icy as she looked at the soldiers, her gaze carrying the majesty of a level 3 powerhouse.
For a zealot, the will of God was the highest command of their life. To dare insult or blaspheme the god she worshipped filled her heart with anger and murderous intent.
"Light Decree: Healing."
She gripped the silver cross in both hands, closed her eyes, and focused. A pure and vast power of light immediately surged forth, enveloping the previously injured Landon.
The wounds on Landon's body began to heal at a speed visible to the naked eye.
Landon was stunned for a moment, then hurriedly reached back and yanked out the arrow embedded in him.
Squelch—blood spurted out, and he gasped in pain.
But no matter how much it hurt, he had to pull it out. He had seen high-level light healing spells before and knew how miraculous they were. If he didn't remove the arrow, the arrowhead and shaft might end up embedded in his body as the healing magic worked.
Sure enough, in just a few breaths, the bleeding on his back and abdomen stopped, and the wounds quickly closed, new pink flesh growing in.
Divine magic—this was the healing magic of priests or nuns. It was said that if a priest or nun of the holy rank intervened, even someone on the brink of death could be saved.
Even Catherine herself hadn't expected her divine magic to become so powerful. She was stunned for a moment, but quickly recovered, raised her hand, and instantly cast another spell.
"Light Decree: Blessing!"
In an instant, a beam of white light fell upon Landon.
Landon's bones crackled all over, and it felt as if his muscles were filled with boundless power ready to burst forth. His depleted battle energy also rapidly recovered, swelling his qi channels to the point of bursting.
Landon was overjoyed. Such a powerful light blessing spell had actually doubled his strength.
Catherine's deep blue eyes seemed to be looking down on the soldiers who were trying to sneak away, and her voice unconsciously carried a hint of authority: "Landon, why aren't you purifying those heretical blasphemers?"
"Yes!"
Landon shuddered, finally noticing that the bearded man and the others were trying to escape. His expression hardened, and he shouted coldly, "Trying to run? Too late."
As he spoke, he raised his sword and charged at them.
With the effects of the light healing spell, his injuries were already healed, and with the blessing spell, both his strength and speed had soared, making his combat power nearly equal to that of a level 2 warrior.
The strongest among the soldiers, the bearded man, was only level 1, and the rest were level 0.
They simply couldn't outrun Landon under the effects of the light blessing spell. In just a few seconds, he caught up to them.
Landon swung his sword, thrusting it fiercely at the bearded man.
