Chapter 4

Emily Owen also smiled and continued with his own tasks, occasionally glancing at the others practicing. He planned to finish his work seriously today and then bid farewell to Uncle Campbell. After all, he had learned a lot here.

Suddenly, the door opened with a burst of commotion, and more than a dozen people surged in. As soon as the students in the courtyard saw these people’s attire, their expressions immediately darkened.

They were from the Mohoraga clan. The Mohoraga and Yaksha clans had always been at odds, as both were renowned for their bravery, and nearly all Mohoraga were born with great strength. Judging by their posture, they were clearly here to challenge the dojo.

The Thunder Emperor encouraged exchanges and sparring, so it was perfectly normal for dojos to challenge each other.

But this group was no ordinary bunch. In recent days, they had already challenged dozens of martial arts academies. Leading them was the Mohoraga prince Graham, and those he brought were all top young talents of the Mohoraga clan. In fact, it wasn’t just the Yaksha who admired Logan Carter; other clans did as well. Graham had come here to challenge the so-called number one young master, the Yaksha prince Mason Carter. As the son of a grandmaster, Mason Carter had reached the Spirit Movement Realm at the age of ten, with unparalleled combat talent. Strangely, however, unlike other young elites of the Eight Tribes, Mason Carter did not go around challenging others to improve himself. Ever since reaching the Spirit Movement Realm, he had kept a low profile. There were many rumors about this. Everyone knew that challenging Logan Carter was overestimating oneself, but those who felt they had the status and strength all wanted to challenge Mason Carter. Defeating the son of Logan Carter would be a great honor.

Graham's challenge was refused, but the proud prince Graham had no intention of leaving just like that. Graham was also one of the few who knew the inside story: Mason Carter was neither injured nor anything else, and it wasn’t that he refused to accept challenges. On the contrary, this little rascal had even challenged his own father, the great Mohoraga King, and of course, was utterly defeated. But Graham just couldn’t swallow this. Although he knew he wasn’t strong enough to challenge Logan Carter, as a leading figure of the younger generation, it was still fair to challenge Mason Carter!

But this guy actually refused. What a blatant insult!

Graham was not the type to boast everywhere just because his opponent avoided a fight.

So he began his dojo-challenging campaign, determined to keep going until Mason Carter couldn’t stand it anymore. At every dojo he failed to defeat, he would leave a challenge letter for Mason Carter.

No matter how patient Mason Carter was, he would have to consider his reputation among the Yaksha people.

The Caleb Hughes Martial Arts Academy was on high alert, and there were many onlookers outside. These days, Graham was definitely the most talked-about figure among the Yaksha, and only a Mohoraga prince would have such courage and audacity.

If it were anyone else, they would have left when Mason Carter avoided the fight, but the Mohoraga, always vying for the title of bravest clan, would never back down.

Graham didn’t even need to act himself. A Mohoraga warrior stepped forward and shouted, “Send out your strongest!”

If these people were nobodies, the students would have cursed them out long ago. But this group had already swept through many dojos, and no one could stop them. The biggest problem was, Campbell knew the chief instructor wasn’t here. Whether by accident or design, the chief instructor really hadn’t come today.

“Everyone, our chief instructor isn’t here today. How about we fight another day?”

Campbell still maintained the proper courtesy.

Graham snorted coldly, not even looking over. That Graham warrior glanced around and said, “Our prince doesn’t have that much free time. Either send out your strongest, or accept the challenge letter on behalf of that coward Mason Carter.”

Everyone present couldn’t help but feel a surge of anger. This was simply too much! For a martial arts academy, winning or losing was secondary. If you were insulted without even fighting, that was the ultimate humiliation. Losing to a stronger opponent wasn’t shameful; being scared off by your opponent was.

Everyone looked at Campbell. With the chief instructor absent, he was in charge. In fact, the Caleb Hughes Martial Arts Academy wasn’t very big. Graham and his group were just passing by and had heard there was someone at the Spirit Burst level worth fighting, so they came in. Since they were here, they couldn’t leave empty-handed.

“Since Prince Graham is so interested, I, Campbell, am willing to fight.”

“Hmph, you think you’re worthy to face our prince? Talia, teach these Yaksha a good lesson.”

Talia stepped out from among Graham’s followers. His hands were rough and calloused, clearly showing his skills lay in his hands. Unlike the other Eight Tribes, who favored heavy weapons, the Mohoraga believed the body was the best weapon. So unless on the battlefield, they rarely used weapons.

Campbell wasn’t angry. He knew his opponent’s strength and saw no need for pleasantries. He picked up a sword—the symbol of the Yaksha clan. The Yaksha King and his legendary divine weapon, the Yaksha Heavenly Wolf Sword, were both legends of the Yaksha.

The Yaksha only use swords!

As a follower of the prince, Talia met at least two criteria: youth and strength.

The surrounding Yaksha all cheered for Campbell. Campbell was at the Spirit Movement Realm and had plenty of experience. He stood no chance against Graham, who possessed royal secret techniques, but that didn’t mean he couldn’t win against a follower. Judging by appearances, the opponent was at most at the Spirit Movement Realm as well.
