Starting from level 4 units, troops gain magic resistance and can cast spells. For example, the Archmage of the neutral Academy faction, the fearsome Druid of the Elf faction, the enchanting Succubus of the Inferno faction, the renowned Vampire of the Undead faction, the melee maniac Shaman of the Orc faction, the thick-skinned, high-HP Rune Mage of the Dwarf faction, and so on. Level 4 and 5 units are the backbone of a race—not only must they be strong in combat, but they also serve as a bridge between lower and higher tiers; otherwise, the entire army’s combat effectiveness will be disjointed. This is especially evident in the Undead and Human factions.
The Undead army generally moves slowly, but the Vampire stands out with its speed. Sometimes, the battle has already started, but the main force hasn’t caught up yet, leaving the Vampire fighting alone. If the Vampire advances and retreats with the main force, it’s like crippling itself and losing its speed advantage. So, whether the Undead are played well or not depends on how skillfully the Vampire is used—this is the dividing line between expert and novice Undead players.
Similarly, the awkwardness for the Human faction’s Cathedral is the level 6 Knight—should you charge or not? It’s a real dilemma!
In the new world, players can build their own castles and recruit all sorts of exotic units, essentially creating their own troop bases and developing unique units. This is especially true for the Undead, who have all kinds of bizarre undead creatures emerging endlessly. But no matter how you develop them, the prerequisite is that they must be able to coordinate with the main force; otherwise, it’s better to just honestly recruit the main battle units from the system’s main city, since at least those are easy to replenish.
For Blake Storm, both his own development and the development of the new world have already been planned out. Blake Storm wants to build an indestructible island fortress in the new world and train his own unique naval units there. Although his starting unit, the Shield Guard, isn’t the highest tier, it’s the most suitable for fighting naval battles on narrow ships. Level 1 Pikemen with their long weapons, level 4 Griffins with their large size, and level 6 Cavalry with their horses are obviously impossible to use in cramped shipboard battles—they must be replaced. Then, he’ll roam the seas of both worlds; only by dominating the oceans can he truly dominate the world!
In fact, Blake Storm himself is a naval battle fanatic. To get a naval battle specialty, he bought over 200 machines and did more than 200 draws! That’s why he only entered the game three days after its launch.
It must be said, Blake Storm was still incredibly lucky—on the 200th try, he finally got the “Admiral” god-tier specialty! If he really couldn’t get it, he’d have had to buy it at a high price on the market. As for what he said to David Carter about selling his account if he got bored of killing people, that was just to scare David Carter, showing that he’s fearless and wants to make others back off.
So, what to do with the 200+ machines he bought? After thinking about it, he decided to open a studio. The machines aren’t worth much, but buying so many did take quite a bit of effort.
Blake Storm called his good friend: “Young Thomas, what are you up to?”
On the other end, the reply was grumpy: “What else? Living life one day at a time.”
Blake Storm chuckled, “Still not enough for you? I’m opening a gaming studio, let’s do it together!”
Young Thomas said in surprise, “A gaming studio? Are you kidding? None of us are short on money!”
Blake Storm laughed, “It’s really just playing games, but calling it a studio sounds better. At least when the old folks hear about it, they’ll think we’re doing something serious for once.”
Young Thomas burst out laughing, “True enough! Which game?”
Blake Storm nodded, “The hottest one! Get Sky John and Young Mark to join too, tell them to stop racing cars. Now all the taxis on the street run on gas—hit one and it’s a bomb. If they get themselves killed, it’s not worth it.”
Young Thomas laughed, “Want me to bring a bunch of girls over? We can play and have fun at the same time?”
Blake Storm said irritably, “I can’t stand female players, especially the dumb ones—don’t bring them!”
Young Thomas roared with laughter, “Don’t worry, I don’t want the dumb ones either! By the way, what’s the studio called?”
Blake Storm answered without hesitation, “Blood Sea Studio!”
……
After contacting all his rich friends, Blake Storm was in an even better mood.
The only thing bothering him was that there was now a small fry on the island! It felt like having sand in his eye—so irritating.
So Blake Storm could never fully focus on killing monsters; he always had to keep an eye out for that small fry. During the day, it seemed like he died a lot, right? Hah! Trash is trash—how could trash survive here? But, where is that small fry now?
Blake Storm looked around but couldn’t see any sign of him. He checked under the ship’s rail—still not there! Where did he go? Logged off because he couldn’t hack it? Good riddance!
Suddenly, Blake Storm remembered something—he was running low on rations! Food wasn’t a problem; he could fish and catch shrimp. But what about water?
Blake Storm saw a few coconut trees on the island—there should be water there. He hurried ashore to pick some fruit.
