She said that, but in her heart, she was really wondering: Has Mr. Grant really been meddling more than usual lately?
Paul Reed stood not far away, watching everything thoughtfully. After a long while, he took out his phone and opened QQ Farm. He hesitated for a moment, but still dug up the nearly ripe ginseng fruit and silently sowed grass seeds...
Jason Ford exercised intermittently for two hours, then went into the shower again. Only then did he carefully examine the stone ring mark on his wrist.
After he grasped the grass for the second time, the mark of the stone ring seemed to have faded a bit more. Judging by its current color, it should be enough to support him grasping the grass one more time.
However, Jason Ford was really a bit tired of planting grass, because harvesting grass was truly hard physical work, and he didn’t really get any tangible benefits from it.
Although Ms. Ford said that his grass was planted well and he managed to keep his job because of it, that really didn’t count as much of a benefit. What Jason Ford wanted was cash, the ability to turn his adventures into real gains!
Using legendary adventures to run a QQ Farm? That’s really a waste of the word “adventure.”
Besides, the conditions for gaining the ability to enter and exit the farm were really too high. He couldn’t just keep damaging transformers, could he? Even though those were public facilities, Jason Ford didn’t want to damage them lightly.
One should still have some decency as a person.
After showering, he returned to the dorm, held his phone and stared at it for a while, and finally decided: just plant grass on one plot of land, so it wouldn’t be too tiring to harvest.
Who would have thought, just as he tapped the grass seed option, before he could even sow, his vision blurred and he entered the farm again.
“Damn!” Jason Ford cursed in frustration, “I forgot, I was supposed to tap the screen with my right hand!”
Would tapping the screen with his right hand prevent him from entering QQ Farm? Not necessarily; it was just his guess, and he’d wanted to test it. But in his absent-mindedness, he habitually used his left hand again.
Anyway, since he was already in, there was no use regretting it. Jason Ford found a coarse cloth sack on the ridge, which was filled with grass seeds.
He had originally planned to just plant one plot of grass, but thinking of those six words, “the grass is planted well,” he hesitated and ended up sowing grass seeds on all ten plots.
At worst, when the grass matures, I just won’t harvest it. If the boss wants to steal, let them steal.
Planting the grass didn’t take long, and now Jason Ford had also mastered some tricks for entering and exiting the farm. After finishing everything he needed to do, he could easily exit the farm just by silently thinking “exit.”
When his consciousness returned to the dorm again, he looked around, then slapped his thigh, “Damn, I forgot to borrow another phone to record a video.”
He really wanted to know, after his consciousness entered the farm, what would his body look like in reality, and what would happen to the old phone.
He was very inquisitive, but unfortunately, after gaining this adventure, he was a bit too excited and became scatterbrained. Not only did he forget to use his right hand to swipe the phone, he also forgot to borrow a phone.
Jason Ford was a person of strong execution. Once he thought of something, he did it, and didn’t like to procrastinate. Just like when he went south with his girlfriend to make a living back in the day—he left as soon as he decided, without a moment’s hesitation.
So he picked up his phone and directly called Eric Clark—that guy hadn’t come to work for two days.
Unfortunately, Coach Clark's phone was out of service. He thought for a moment and called the front desk Little Smith.
Little Smith was a girl. When she heard he wanted to borrow her phone, she immediately said there was a lot of private stuff on it. “...If you really want to borrow it, then I have one condition.”
Jason Ford answered straightforwardly, “I really don’t know why Ms. Ford wants to protect me.”
“Double major, you’re really smart. How did you get such a brain?” Little Smith really wanted to ask this question. When she heard him refuse, she wasn’t annoyed. “Aren’t you saying now that the grass is planted well?”
“Are you kidding me?” Jason Ford smiled slightly. “That was probably just a random excuse Ms. Ford used to protect me.”
Little Smith snorted in dissatisfaction, “She’s the dignified general manager of the company. Does she need a reason to protect a junior staff member?”
Hmm? Jason Ford was stunned for a moment, and immediately felt, “That actually makes sense, I have no retort.”
But Little Smith’s logic...seemed a bit off somewhere?
He wasn’t someone who could be easily persuaded. “Anyway, she used that excuse to protect me. So, are you lending me your phone or not?”
Little Smith was silent for a while before answering, “I can lend it to you, but you have to use it in front of me.”
How could that work? Jason Ford pondered for a moment and retorted, “Little Smith, I often buy breakfast for you. Have I ever asked for anything in return?”
Little Smith immediately sounded a bit unhappy and asked, “You just bring me breakfast sometimes, what else do you want?”
“Exactly,” Jason Ford raised his eyebrows and shot back, “If I borrow your phone for a bit, what could I possibly do to it?”
