When Jason Clark was almost at the school, he saw a huge crowd gathered at the school gate, blocking the entrance completely. Jason Clark frowned. Today, he was in charge of the swordsmanship class’s practice session, and it wouldn’t be good to be late. He was grateful to Mr. Bennett for all the help and care, so he took his work very seriously—never late, never leaving early—a complete contrast to his own attitude in class.
“Make way!”
He pushed through the crowd. The student he pushed aside was about to curse, but as soon as he saw it was Jason Clark, he immediately shrank back.
“Sophie Grant, as long as you kowtow today, I’ll let you off!”
A smug-looking boy, his nose practically pointed to the sky. His clothes were fancy, the fabric clearly expensive—he must come from a good family. Around him stood several strong boys, each with a mocking look on their face. In the dirt before them, a thin, weak-looking boy was crouched, his body hunched, face twisted in pain.
“Kowtow! Hurry up, class is about to start!”
“Damn it, looks like we haven’t beaten him enough!”
…
The thugs shouted and cursed.
A look of disgust appeared on Jason Clark’s face. Although he was also a notorious figure at Ande, he never bullied the weak. More importantly, these guys had completely blocked the school gate, and class was about to start in a few minutes.
“New here?” Jason Clark stepped forward, looking unfriendly. “Move aside!”
“Well, well, you’ve got some nerve meddling in my business, huh?” the ringleader sneered.
Jason Clark knew that if he wasted any more time, he’d definitely be late. He couldn’t be bothered to argue. With a swift, precise sidestep, he shot forward, and in the other boy’s shocked gaze, his hand clamped tightly around the boy’s neck.
Like picking up a chicken, he lifted the boy with one hand.
The boy’s mind went blank from lack of air.
“Stop! How dare you—”
“You’re finished!”
The strong boys panicked and rushed forward. Jason Clark, with his vast fighting experience, swung the boy in his hand and smashed him into the others.
In the blink of an eye, they were all knocked down.
“Sure enough, Jason Clark is still the toughest!”
“Of course, he’s the old-school campus boss! Every year it’s the same—if you don’t put these newbies in their place, they’ll never learn!”
“Honestly, our school’s atmosphere isn’t bad, and School Bully Clark deserves a lot of credit! He keeps the peace!”
…
Jason Clark didn’t even glance at the guys on the ground and hurried off toward the training field.
He arrived at the training field just as the bell rang.
That was close!
Jason Clark let out a long sigh of relief, then swept his gaze over the swordsmanship class students. After yesterday’s gossip, Jason Clark’s notorious reputation had already spread, and all the students looked cautious.
Feigning seriousness, Jason Clark cleared his throat and waved his hand. “Begin practice!”
Section Three: Mad Bull Amory
“Jason Clark, come out and fight me!”
A thunderous roar sounded outside the school gate, waking Jason Clark from his nap in the sun at the training field.
Practice was nearly over. After correcting a few students’ mistakes, Jason Clark noticed they weren’t very interested in basic martial skills, so he couldn’t be bothered either and found a sunny spot to nap.
“So annoying!” Jason Clark muttered, rolling over to keep sleeping.
“Jason Clark! You coward, come out and fight me!” The thunderous voice nearly shook the whole training field.
The freshmen practicing basic martial skills all looked at Jason Clark in the corner with strange expressions.
Did senior Jason Clark get himself into trouble?
A burly man charged into the training field like a wild bull, roaring as he searched the area with his eyes.
The freshmen were startled—this guy was bold, barging in like that. But when some of them noticed the insignia on the man’s clothes, they couldn’t help but cry out in shock.
“Beast Academy!”
All the freshmen’s faces changed instantly.
Beast Academy was ranked third, much higher than Ande Academy’s tenth place.
No wonder the freshmen looked so pale. Beast Academy had always been Ande Academy’s rival. While the two weren’t exactly mortal enemies, they were far from friendly. What made it worse for Ande’s teachers and students was that, while Ande Academy was declining this year, Beast Academy was on the rise, advancing rapidly.
They’d produced several outstanding students in a row, and their ranking kept climbing.
Beast Academy emphasized real combat, and fighting was the norm there. The school not only didn’t stop it, but actually encouraged it. As a result, their students were all extremely brave and fierce. Students from ordinary schools felt at a disadvantage just facing them.
A Beast Academy student barging into Ande Academy—how arrogant!
“Ha! Jason Clark, I finally caught you! Come on, let’s have a good fight—taste my fists, I’m Amory!” The burly man laughed loudly, his voice like thunder.
“Mad Bull Amory!” someone in the crowd exclaimed.
“Who’s Amory? Is he famous?” a freshman couldn’t help but ask.
