Chapter 15

The middle-aged beautiful woman was struck as if by lightning when she heard this, and stood there in a daze. After a long while, she muttered to herself, “What suits you is the best—this saying... is so full of wisdom!”

She had recently been struggling with a difficult problem, feeling powerless no matter how she tried, and she simply couldn’t figure out the reason. So all she could do was ponder over the insights of those who came before her, again and again.

The Xuanqing Plane placed great importance on inheritance, yet from what seemed like rebellious words, she detected a hint of hidden meaning.

William Thompson nodded. “That’s why I remember it so well.”

The middle-aged woman was clearly distracted now. She stepped forward, reached out, and grabbed the student’s wrist tightly, asking excitedly, “That master... that old man, where is he now?”

“How would I know?” William Thompson spread his hands and answered helplessly, “I was just a kid when I heard it. I only thought what he said made a lot of sense, so I remembered it.”

The middle-aged woman stared at him with a stern face, saying nothing.

Chapter 8 Yvonne

That night, William Thompson really did go to the cafeteria to look for Travis Sullivan.

Unfortunately, he sat in the cafeteria for half an hour and didn’t see the Autobot come to eat.

The academy’s cafeteria was quite strict—students were not allowed to cook for themselves inside the academy. If you wanted to eat, you had to come to the cafeteria; otherwise, if you started a fire in the dorm and there was an accident, who would be responsible?

However, most of the external dorm students didn’t eat in the cafeteria. They would take their food back to their dorms. Those who ate in the cafeteria were mostly internal dorm students—this was their territory.

As for the upper dorm students, they were about to leave the academy, busy with all sorts of things, and didn’t spend much time there.

After waiting so long, William Thompson unexpectedly discovered that some of the senior girls and boys... seemed to have never borrowed books from the library?

There were probably many reasons for this. Some had already borrowed almost everything and read it all; some came from scholarly families and disdained the library’s books; and some—maybe just didn’t like studying.

In any case, William Thompson found there were many people here he hadn’t seen before, so the next morning after exercising, he came again for breakfast, not taking it back to the dorm.

He ate for nearly another half hour, and the late-rising Ethan Shaw finally arrived.

Ethan Shaw got a meal, glanced around, saw him in the cafeteria, and happily walked over with his tray.

But as luck would have it, he walked too fast. A girl nearby was also carrying a tray, and not paying attention, the two of them bumped into each other.

With a loud crash, Ethan Shaw’s tray fell straight to the floor, and the girl ended up with soup all over herself.

The girl was wearing the internal dorm uniform. She was quite pretty, with a delicate and gentle appearance. She glanced at Ethan Shaw, her lips twitching, but in the end, she said nothing.

But the person behind her wasn’t having it. She was also a girl, but extremely tall and sturdy, though her features were quite proper. She shouted, “Hey kid, how do you walk?”

The words weren’t pleasant, but honestly, it was pretty normal—they were both internal dorm students.

“Sorry, sorry,” Ethan Shaw apologized repeatedly. A freshman bumping into an upperclassman, of course he had to apologize.

The pretty girl set her tray on a nearby table, took out a handkerchief, and wiped the soup off herself, saying nothing, just frowning in displeasure.

Ethan Shaw knew this was the best outcome—she didn’t mind, so he quickly picked up his tray from the floor and made a swift exit.

“Hey kid, stop right there!” the sturdy girl shouted, making all the students in the cafeteria turn to look.

Ethan Shaw had no choice but to stop and look back, a wry smile on his face. “Senior, do you need something?”

The sturdy girl glared at him. “You bump into someone and try to run? Do you think Senior Yvonne is a pushover?”

“Huh?” William Thompson couldn’t help but exclaim—was he hearing this right? “Yong... Senior Xin?”

“Kid, your attitude is a bit off,” the sturdy girl strode forward, poked him in the chest, and spoke arrogantly, “There’s nothing wrong with trying to chat someone up, but could you... at least be a bit more original?”

“I...” Ethan Shaw looked miserable, feeling he couldn’t explain himself, “I apologized, I wasn’t trying to hit on anyone.”

“Those little tricks of yours won’t fool me,” the sturdy girl snorted coldly. “First time’s an accident, second time’s on purpose, isn’t it? Let me ask you, do you know what happens if you mess with an internal dorm student?”

Ethan Shaw couldn’t take it anymore. He stiffened his neck, “I bumped into her by accident, but I apologized... what more do you want?”

“You can’t leave until you’re forgiven, right?” the sturdy girl snorted. As an internal dorm student, she was relentless toward external dorm students, raising her voice, “What’s with that apology... is it even sincere?”

Ethan Shaw stood there, completely dumbfounded—seriously, can’t we be reasonable here?

William Thompson stood up and walked over, smiling as he spoke, “Senior, this junior really didn’t mean it. I know him well. May I ask your name?”

“What’s it to you...” the sturdy girl started to retort, but suddenly realized the person talking to her was an extremely handsome boy. She hesitated, then snorted again, “Asking my name? Who doesn’t know I’m Yvonne King?”
