Yongxin? William Thompson couldn’t help but raise his hand and smack his forehead hard. “Are you kidding me... your name is really Yongxin?”
He knew this was very rude, but he just couldn’t control himself—damn, are you really my Yongxin?
My Yongxin, gentle, lovely, generous, and dignified—how could she be someone like this tomboyish character?
Of course, just because her name is Yongxin doesn’t necessarily mean she was once his dual cultivation partner; he should have been able to recognize her.
But the really bad thing was, when he descended to the Xuanqing plane, the Windwatcher was attacked by soul fragments. Up to now, the two William Thompsons don’t even know which one is the main body.
What is certain is that the two souls have merged, their memories and mindsets are indistinguishable, but at the same time, they influence each other, and some things have become unclear.
So, the Windwatcher William Thompson can’t instinctively determine whether this Yongxin is his former dual cultivation partner.
He can only be sure of two things. First, his partner might still have some remnants of her original self, so it’s very likely her name is Yongxin.
The other is, if the two of them have a deep enough connection, they’ll be able to sense whether the other is the one they’re looking for.
So, this could very well just be a girl named “Yongxin” who stumbled in by accident.
However, for William Thompson, no matter what, this was the first time he’d met a girl named Yongxin in this plane. He’d rather make a mistake than miss the chance, so he was feeling quite frustrated.
Yvonne King shot him an annoyed look, wanting to scold him a few times, but... the other party was just too handsome. You know, the killing power of a handsome guy on a beautiful girl is huge.
So she just snorted unhappily, “You’d better address me by my full name. Which class are you from?”
“We’re from the Chou class,” Ethan Shaw answered solemnly. “Daughter of Instructor Hu, also an inner dorm student.”
Bolin Academy only enrolls twelve classes each year, named after the twelve Earthly Branches: Zi, Chou, Yin, Mao, Chen, Si, Wu, Wei, Shen, You, Xu, and Hai, with thirty-six students in each class.
The Chou class’s miscellaneous studies instructor is surnamed Hu. His daughter is also somewhat famous among the inner dorm students. Although she’s a bit chubby, she’s not bad-looking. The key is, she’s quite flirtatious and has a lot of rumors about her.
Yvonne King knew this girl too. She even knew that Instructor Hu was quite domineering and very protective—at least when it came to his daughter.
“You really should be in the Chou class!” She glared fiercely at Ethan Shaw, but lost interest in arguing further.
But that junior, he had nothing to do with “Chou.” She glanced at William Thompson again. “Next time, you won’t get off so easy. Ask around—students from my Xin class aren’t people you can just bully.”
After saying that, she turned and left, the delicate girl following closely behind, not saying a single word.
Ethan Shaw went to get another breakfast, then sat down next to William Thompson, snorting with a straight face, “Everyone’s at fault, but the upperclassman is always in the wrong?”
William Thompson jerked his chin toward the distance. “Be content. Those two freshmen in the corner are from the Chou class. It’s good enough we didn’t get exposed.”
He didn’t have a wide social circle, but as a library manager, he’d seen plenty of students.
“I just wanted to trick her,” Ethan Shaw laughed, then nudged him playfully. “Did you notice? That Yvonne King is into you—she even told you her class number.”
“My personal charm is just a little bit stronger than yours,” William Thompson replied seriously. “Don’t get discouraged. Stick to your diet and you’ll close the gap.”
“I gain weight even drinking cold water,” Ethan Shaw sighed gloomily. “I’m starving and dizzy, but I just keep gaining weight.”
He wasn’t just a little chubby—he was very fat. From childhood to now, he’d always been the target of others’ jokes, and the number of fights he’d gotten into over it was in the double digits.
William Thompson shot him a sidelong glance. “I have a weight loss method that works pretty well. Want to try it?”
“Tch, I’ve heard plenty of methods, none of them work,” Ethan Shaw didn’t look excited, actually seemed pretty uninterested: My dad couldn’t find a way, what could you, an orphan, possibly have?
But in the end, he couldn’t resist his curiosity. “So... what is it?”
William Thompson smiled, took a couple of bites, then mumbled, “It’s pretty painful. If you can’t handle it, don’t blame me.”
Hearing this, Ethan Shaw became much more interested, speaking with his mouth full, “If you don’t tell me, how do you know I can’t handle it?”
William Thompson looked at him again. “There’s one condition. I need to know everything about Yvonne King... how you get the info is up to you.”
“Are you serious? You like that kind of tomboy?” Ethan Shaw bared his teeth, clearly not understanding. “I actually think the girl I bumped into... delicate and elegant, she’s really nice.”
William Thompson laughed, “Isn’t that perfect? We each get what we want.”
Ethan Shaw looked him up and down, then shook his head and continued eating. “Guess it’s true what they say—you want what you lack. You’re skinny, so you like strong girls. I’m too fat, so I like delicate ones.”
William Thompson didn’t say anything. He knew very well that, even though this guy called himself fat, if someone else said it, he’d be really upset.
