Chapter 2

In an instant, a pair of red-and-gold mechanical gloves appeared on his left hand. These mechanical gloves looked almost identical to Iron Man’s final Mark 85 Nano Armor 2.0 in "Avengers: Endgame," and were also one of the few Iron Man suits that Brian Carter had studied.

“Amazing!”

Brian Carter was stunned. At this moment, his heart was filled with excitement, as if he had just won a five-million-dollar jackpot—no, it was even more thrilling than winning five million or even two five-million-dollar jackpots.

At this very instant,

He just wanted to look up and shout to the sky: “To hell with love! I, Brian Carter, am back to full strength!”

After cursing, he suddenly slumped back onto the edge of the bed, sitting there weakly for a while before finally lifting his head with determination, bidding farewell to yesterday. Having obtained the extraordinary treasure—the Psychic Armor—developed by the Mind God Clan, he decided to make good use of it and embark on a brand-new life.

He moved his left hand, and the mechanical glove moved with it.

But soon, Brian Carter noticed a problem. Iron Man’s suit was supposed to be equipped with all kinds of high-tech weapons—the palm repulsor was a given, not to mention the special nano-particle shield. Yet he couldn’t use any of them. Looking closely, this glove was just an empty shell.

Its structure was similar to a large action figure: flashy on the outside, but in reality, it was just steel painted with some color.

“Why is my Iron Man suit different from the one in the movie?” He stared at the glove on his hand, quickly focusing his mind and imagining a full set of Mark 85 armor.

In an instant, he was wrapped in the armor.

However, just like the glove, his Mark 85 armor was only a hollow shell, with no high-tech inside. He couldn’t fly, couldn’t shoot lasers, and could barely even walk—the joints wouldn’t move.

“Why!”

“What’s going on!”

“Wasn’t it supposed to be a powerful Psychic Armor crafted by an extraordinary civilization?”

“Is all I can do just conjure up a bit of metal shell?” Brian Carter’s mind was still active. With a thought, he conjured up Frostmourne. “It’s cool, sure, but… I never planned to carry Frostmourne around all day. Am I supposed to go to cosplay events?”

Just then, a sharp pain shot through his head.

A flood of information instantly poured into his brain. When he came to, clutching his head, he immediately understood the details of the Psychic Armor. It wasn’t that the Psychic Armor wasn’t strong enough—it was that he, Brian Carter, wasn’t strong enough.

The Psychic Armor, as the name suggests, is powered by psychic energy, and that energy comes from Brian Carter himself.

“Knowledge!”

“Knowledge is power!”

“As long as I master all the technology Iron Man had in the movies, I’ll be able to manifest a real Mark 85 armor with the Psychic Armor!”

“And clearly, I don’t have enough knowledge yet, so I can’t unleash the true power of the Psychic Armor. In fact, because my psychic energy is so weak, I can’t even receive much of the information stored in the Psychic Armor from the Mind God Clan… I can only keep training my psychic energy and acquiring knowledge to upgrade the Psychic Armor!”

He took a deep breath.

At present, Brian Carter could only access two pieces of inherited information, but it was precisely these two pieces that reignited the fire in his heart: “Training… coordinates…”

Chapter 2: Psychic Replication

There were only two pieces of inherited information that the Psychic Armor could receive.

The first was a method for cultivating psychic energy. It wasn’t complete—just a basic introductory method. By visualizing, thinking, and storing knowledge, one could enrich the mind and thus cultivate psychic energy. At the same time, psychic energy was the only power source for the Psychic Armor.

“In the Mind God Clan, every member possesses powerful psychic energy. Compared to them, my psychic energy is truly insignificant… Moreover, the minds of the Mind God Clan are interconnected, almost as one, creating the magnificent civilization known as the Psychic Ocean.”

Combining the information from the Psychic Armor and that fleeting dream,

Brian Carter had gained some understanding of the Mind God Clan. They also originated from a certain planet, but their evolutionary path was not toward a material civilization, but a spiritual one. In the end, they used clusters of spiritual matter—psychic energy—to envelop their entire planet, creating the Psychic Ocean.

With the power of the Psychic Ocean, they projected their consciousness to neighboring planets, gradually radiating out into the endless cosmos, just as humans explore the universe.

But the information was limited, and Brian Carter couldn’t receive it all.

So he didn’t know how far the Mind God Clan had explored, but in any case, their understanding of the universe far surpassed that of Earth.

Because—

Within the inherited information of the Psychic Armor, they had already found a new planet suitable for migration. This was what the second piece of inherited information referred to—the coordinates.

An unknown world, but one that was habitable for the Mind God Clan.

Before the disaster, they planned to create countless Psychic Armors, using their powerful functions to escape the catastrophe and cross over to this new world, continuing their civilization.

Unfortunately,

The disaster struck too soon. The Mind God Clan was wiped out, and the only one who might have survived—the Lord of the Sanctuary—chose to perish alongside the rest of the clan.

Brian Carter didn’t care about the survival or extinction of the Mind God Clan. What he cared about was—
