The Pretty Boy Blake with half an ear missing was stunned for a moment. Then, a look of joy immediately appeared on his face. He grabbed the medical bag and rushed forward. Sure enough, he saw Henry Clark lying in a pool of blood, his body riddled with shrapnel. He had lost a lot of blood and seemed to have suffered serious injuries, but he was still alive, and he hadn’t lost any limbs. Without hesitation, he took out a syringe and injected it into Henry Clark's body, then shouted loudly, “Two people, come and carry him to the back! I still have a few bags of blood here. He’s type AB, it’s no problem. I’ll give him some simple treatment right away.”
But there was no need for two people. As soon as Pretty Boy Blake finished shouting, Big Black Iron charged straight over, picked up Henry Clark as if he were carrying a big dog, and ran a few steps to Michael Brooks's side. He silently glanced at Michael Brooks, then put Henry Clark down on the ground, while Pretty Boy Blake followed closely behind and immediately began performing a simple operation on Henry Clark.
But unexpectedly, at that moment, the alarm sounded for the third time. In everyone’s sight, the passage ahead was now completely opened, and seven or eight machines rolled out—tank treads on the bottom, robot-like bodies on top. Both arms of these machines were like machine guns, and their chests had holes resembling honeycomb briquettes. Needless to say, with everyone’s experience, those were definitely missile launchers.
Each of these machines was about two meters tall, and judging by their thickness... ordinary bullets would never be able to damage them easily.
A wave of despair swept over everyone. Suddenly, a gunshot rang out—a sniper bullet hit one of the machines right in the chest cavity, and with a loud boom, the machine exploded violently. Even though the group was more than a hundred meters away, they could still feel the scorching heat wave.
The calm man, Eagle, shouted, “Where’s the sniper team? Are you idiots? You can’t even shoot such easy targets? I won’t say it again—aim for their chests!”
Immediately, two other equally calm men dropped down, set up their sniper rifles, and began taking turns firing. In just over ten seconds, all seven or eight machines were destroyed before they could even fire a shot. This was actually easier than the previous two battles.
No... After these seven or eight machines were destroyed, another seven or eight of the same kind rolled out from the passage. Gradually, all three men were drenched in sweat.
“Is it done yet, Michael Brooks? We can’t hold on much longer!”
Seeing this, Brian Carter didn’t provide fire support like the others. Instead, he rushed to Michael Brooks's side and shouted loudly.
Michael Brooks was also drenched in sweat. He could hear the tank treads getting closer behind him, and the continuous explosions. He didn’t need to look back to know how dire the situation was. He shouted back, “This is an electronic password counting method I’ve never seen before—completely new, intelligent, almost magical. I don’t know how to describe it... God, I’m going crazy!”
But Brian Carter suddenly had a flash of inspiration. At that moment, a shout came from behind—Eagle's voice.
“We’re out of bullets! Damn it, fire support! Little Blake, throw the bullets over here!”
Without the snipers’ direct firepower, more and more machines—over a dozen—slowly emerged from the smoke and fire. They had already raised their machine gun arms, and sharp missile tips were beginning to protrude from their chests...
“Noah! It’s Noah!”
Brian Carter suddenly felt a strange silence all around him, as if something flashed through his mind. Without thinking, he shouted at the top of his lungs.
Michael Brooks was stunned. He turned and asked, “What Noah?”
“In English! The final password is Noah!” Brian Carter practically screamed at the top of his voice.
Almost instinctively, Michael Brooks entered Noah in English. At that moment, there was a crisp sound, and all the sharp alarms around them stopped. The machines that were about to fire also froze in place, as if they had lost all power, coming to a halt in the passage.
On the other side, behind the group, the enormous, exaggeratedly huge gate began to open slowly—one layer, two layers, three layers... a total of seven incredibly thick doors opened one after another. From inside to outside, the thickness was nearly ten meters. And behind that gate...
A long, conical spaceship, as tall as a small mountain and tens of thousands of meters long...
It was parked right there!
Chapter 7: Hope!
Everyone was stunned, their eyes filled with shock and disbelief as they stared ahead. In front of them was an unimaginably vast underground cavern plaza. Even looking as far as they could, it still seemed endless, as if there was a world beneath the earth.
In the center of this underground plaza, an equally enormous spaceship was parked. The group was now standing at the entrance, about a hundred or two hundred meters above the plaza floor. In front of them was a wide expanse of stairs and simple elevators.
