Chapter 19

Emily Carter was also blushing furiously, hurriedly shielding her, while Grace Bennett frantically buttoned up her shirt. What was going on today? Even honest Ru’er was taken advantage of by this guy... in the end, she was the one who lost out the most.

"Alright, every night from now on, we’ll start our study and training plan!"

The four of them clinked glasses at the same time. At this moment, the four people who would later influence the course of the entire world finally began their own lives!

Actually, there was a very important question I had never asked—"Why did you risk yourself to save me back then?" Maybe I was afraid the answer wouldn’t be what I imagined, so I didn’t ask, and she didn’t bring it up either. We kept a bit of mystery, leaving hope for ourselves, and for tomorrow.

"Oh God, will someone please save me!" The other three had all gone home, but I was the only one who had to return to the dorm. Getting scolded tomorrow was inevitable. The problem was, it was easy to get out of the school, but hard to get back in. I stared blankly at the tall wall.

Why is it always me who gets hurt!

Splash!

Even the crescent moon in the sky seemed to be amused by this fool’s silly actions. Wasn’t it an interesting night?

Chapter Six: Discovering Power

Today was a beautiful day, the sun was shining, and the women on the street were holding a meeting to improve the current social status of women.

...As expected, there were only women, no young girls, and certainly no beauties.

Maybe it was last night’s storm, but the sky was especially clear and cold, the deep blue almost transparent, and the air was incredibly fresh, carrying a faint scent of the sea and the fragrance of mountain earth, cleansing the soul.

The seaside was a bit messy—after all, last night’s fierce winds and huge waves had caused some damage. Maybe there really was some divine protection, as the storm happened in the middle of the sea, and the shore was much better off. Even the trash on the beach had disappeared, returning us a beautiful coastline, faintly reminiscent of the legendary scene of the Eight Immortals crossing the sea.

But it was still a mess. Early in the morning, the students of No. 1 High School were "piled up" in the campus, all staring blankly at the teaching building with a missing corner, while our old principal stomped his feet and wailed... the budget would have to be increased again.

The playground was even more of a disaster. The once neat and beautiful lawn was torn up, and there was a big pit in the ground that looked like it had been struck by lightning. A few trees in the nearby woods had also been split, showing just how fierce yesterday’s lightning had been.

The principal looked at the old teaching building, then at the students’ eager eyes. He knew these guys wanted to hear the words "holiday" from his mouth. After thinking it over, he figured it was about time. He didn’t dare risk letting the students go to class—if anything happened, it would be a total disaster.

"Take a day off!" the principal reluctantly gave the order.

He was just about to say a few words about reviewing lessons and staying safe, but everyone scattered like birds and beasts, disappearing in no time. By the time the principal, shaking his head, opened his eyes, the campus was already empty. Sigh... he wanted to relive his student days, but it just wasn’t possible. Young people these days...

Looks like he’d have to get an expert to assess the building’s safety, and repairs would be needed. The playground would have to be cleaned up too. Sigh, if only the lightning had struck my office building instead.

Emily, Grace Bennett, and William Clark were all overjoyed. Even the new humans still had lingering fear of the grueling third year of high school, so an extra day off felt especially great, just like how free things always taste better.

Since I hadn’t shown up, the three of them came to my dorm together.

I was sleeping soundly, having spent the whole night tossing and turning. I only drifted off as dawn approached, so I couldn’t care less about class.

Two super beauties visiting the boys’ dorm was a big event. For a while, everyone was guessing who they were looking for. Unknowingly, I became famous, but the things people said were really out of line.

"Henry Bennett must owe them money and hasn’t paid back, right?"

"Very likely!"

"There’s no other possibility!"

"Exactly, with a guy like him, the only way to get such beauties interested is to jump off the balcony!"

"Why jump?"

"Only reincarnation would give him a chance!"

Cold, so vicious. We’re classmates, after all. Just because some beauties came to see me, is that really necessary?

For a while, my bad reputation rose again, almost on par with a villain. All sorts of rumors started, but not a single one said the beauties liked me.

Jealousy, it must be jealousy!

"Boss, get up! The sun’s shining on your butt already!"

Walter used his MN to gently touch me, instantly jolting me awake.

"Damn it, are you trying to kill me? I’m not an insulator!" I jumped up like a rabbit, angrily pointing at Walter. Disturbing my sleep was already a heinous crime, but to use electricity?

At this moment, Walter looked at me innocently, but his eyes were glancing to the side.

Dizzy—there were Emily and Grace Bennett. Only then did I realize how bad I looked, wearing only shorts, and thanks to the morning, my appearance was especially indecent. Ugh, I’d been taken advantage of.

Emily and Grace Bennett blushed and quickly turned away, while I scrambled to get dressed. That damn Walter must have done it on purpose. I’d settle the score with him later.
