Everyone entered in single file with their weapons, engaging in fierce combat with the little people.
The burly man held a shield in his left hand, reached into his tool bag with his right, and pulled out a blood bag, smashing it onto the shield.
As the blood bag burst, the large shield melted like a candle and transformed into a spear.
He gripped it smoothly and swept the spear horizontally, knocking down a group of little people who had surrounded him.
His movements were extremely fluid, making Logan Clark click his tongue in amazement.
"This is yet another strange weapon."
At this moment, a young girl led a group of little people to the metal block, using it to maneuver and fight.
Coincidentally, Logan Clark was feeling a surge of excitement and wanted to show off his skills.
Aiming at the little people attacking the girl, he willed them to act.
In an instant, over a dozen little people were decapitated and fell to the ground with a crash.
Looking again, their heads had already been casually tossed elsewhere by Logan Clark.
The remaining few little people quickly retreated, stumbling out of Logan Clark's line of sight.
The girl widened her eyes, looking at the metal block with a mix of shock and fear.
Suddenly, as if she thought of something, she hurriedly took out everything she was carrying and placed it all on the metal block.
Seeing this, Logan Clark suddenly recalled the previous little people, and connecting the two, he had an idea.
"Are they making offerings to me?"
With a mindset to give it a try, Logan Clark selected a box of canned food the girl had placed and sent it into the space.
Seeing the can disappear, the girl visibly breathed a sigh of relief, her fearful expression vanishing.
Did I guess right? Logan Clark was delighted.
The girl went to the handlebars, and with a forceful push, her seemingly petite body sent the cart speeding into the battlefield.
"What strength that girl has!"
Logan Clark praised inwardly, then turned his attention back to the fighting little people.
Wherever the cart went, the black little people who had been fighting fell like weeds.
Their heads vanished into thin air, leaving only a mirror-like cut on their necks, with blood spurting out.
On the ground not far away, heads with confused expressions suddenly appeared.
Such a bizarre scene threw the black little people into chaos, and their will to fight was completely shattered.
In the end, the little people even avoided the girl, abandoning their armor and fleeing in disarray whenever the cart approached.
Everyone pressed the advantage and quickly took over the camp.
Seeing the situation settled, the girl, panting, sat down leaning against the metal block.
Crystal beads of sweat slid down her hair onto her slender neck.
A brand-new silver-white metal dog tag necklace clung to her wheat-colored skin, sparkling under the sheen of sweat.
"Level 1 Hunter, Ryan Clark."
Another set of strange characters, but Logan Clark still understood them.
As he was observing, the burly man walked over, and Logan Clark noticed that he too wore a similar but more ornate necklace around his neck.
"Level 2 Hunter, Shield of Change Evan Brooks."
The content on the dog tag was completely different, and it even included a title.
The burly man stopped in front of the girl and reprimanded her sternly, "You were too reckless."
The girl didn't answer, just lowered her head.
The burly man patted the metal block and carefully asked the girl, "What is the price for this thing?"
The girl named Ryan Clark took out a can of food, and Logan Clark understood, taking the can in.
"Food?" The burly man was clearly surprised.
Ryan Clark nodded.
The burly man's tone softened a lot: "That's pretty lucky. I'll arrange for someone to register it. Next time, don't leave the team on your own."
With that, the burly man walked toward the crowd.
Listening to their conversation, Logan Clark also began to speculate.
"The price—is it what they have to pay to use these things?"
A broom that needed to be smeared with mud, a shield that required blood, and the previous offering behavior of the little people and the girl.
"They treat the metal block as one of those strange weapons?" Logan Clark suddenly understood.
Luckily, by a stroke of luck, they happened to think that "food" was the price for using the metal block, and not something else strange.
"At least I won't go hungry for a while."
Before long, a recorder carrying all sorts of high-tech instruments walked over. After routinely questioning Ryan Clark, he rummaged through his bag.
He took out a device that looked like a hair dryer and began scanning the metal block, then pulled out an electronic screen.
Logan Clark watched the scanner expectantly, hoping the device would detect his presence inside the metal block.
However, the recorder didn't notice anything unusual and began operating the electronic screen.
After searching for a while, the recorder asked, "Ryan Clark, this relic is a first-time discovery. Do you want to name it?"
Ryan Clark shook her head. "I'm not good at naming things."
"This is a rare opportunity, and you worked hard for it. Give it a try," a teammate encouraged with a smile.
After thinking for a moment, Ryan Clark looked at the metal block and answered seriously, "Iron Block."
The recorder's smile froze.
"Can't you come up with a cooler name? Like, Deadly Cube, Fatal Square, Interdimensional Killing Array, or something? Also..."
Ryan Clark stared at the recorder as he rattled off a string of flashy names.
Feeling creeped out by her gaze, the recorder compromised, "Alright, Iron Block it is."
He then continued operating, and text began to appear on the electronic screen:
[Relic: Iron Block]
[Price: Food]
[Ability: Cubic dissection of enemy flesh within range]
[Discovery Location: First Layer of the Abyss]
[Discoverer: Ryan Clark]
