The training at the Hunter School is truly brutal—not just physically, but also a psychological torment. For example, they would take a large chunk of raw bison meat and force everyone to eat it all.
Ethan Brooks was not a special forces soldier, nor was he likely to carry out special missions in the future, so he had no need to endure such disgusting things. Therefore, the moment the beef reached his mouth, he put it into his portable space.
As a result, he was once again the first to finish eating.
The crocodile instructor looked at him with growing satisfaction.
The next day, combat training began. The method was still unscientific yet full of real combat elements—everyone was thrown into a mud pit to freely find opponents and fight.
Here, Ethan Brooks performed exceptionally well. With double the speed and strength of an ordinary person, and with both speed and strength stacking, plus intermediate mastery of combat, he had no problem taking on these special forces soldiers.
"Bang."
With a punch, another special forces soldier was knocked down—this was the third opponent he had sought out.
Ethan Brooks paused to catch his breath and saw William Harris also struggling to defeat his opponent. Even though his face was covered in mud, he still grinned.
William Harris smiled back at him. He had a good impression of this teammate. Although he didn’t often communicate with him or Logan Wright, the three always stuck together when facing difficulties in training, especially when they secretly had an extra meal on the first night.
Suddenly, a tall special forces soldier rushed over and, before William Harris could react, landed a heavy punch that knocked him to the ground.
Ethan Brooks was taken aback. Because of his presence these days, Ross rarely targeted the two Chinese special forces soldiers as in the original plot, but unexpectedly, this part of the story hadn’t changed at all because of him.
Ross stepped back two paces, his face full of provocation, and laughed, "Chinese people aren’t good enough, haha! Do you still want to try? I’m number one, haha! What do you say?"
Logan Wright rushed over and helped William Harris up.
Ross raised both hands high, standing in the center of the crowd, arrogantly shouting, "Who else wants to try? Who’s next, haha, come on!"
Logan Wright said a few words to William Harris, and just as he was about to go up and give Ross a good beating, he saw Ethan Brooks striding forward, unbuttoning his camouflage shirt as he walked, revealing his strong muscles.
A commotion rose around them as Ross turned his head and saw Ethan Brooks.
"Ethan Brooks, do you want to play with me?"
Ethan Brooks lifted his head slightly to look at Ross. Although he wasn’t short—he was even a bit taller than William Harris—he still wasn’t as tall as the foreign special forces soldiers.
"No, I just want to give you a good beating and show you whether Chinese people are good enough or not!"
Ross was stunned, then burst out laughing, "Then come on! I’ll make sure you die in a very ugly way, haha."
Ethan Brooks silently took a step forward, his muscles suddenly bulging, becoming as defined as if cast from steel, catching the eye of the female lead Lena, who couldn’t look away.
"Another shorty? Give me someone bigger…"
Ross was still boasting when Ethan Brooks’s foot had already slammed into his abdomen. He didn’t even see it coming, and before he could react, the tremendous force had already kicked him to the ground.
"Bang."
Cheers erupted all around. The crocodile instructor raised his binoculars, his sharp gaze fixed on this side.
"Fight! Good! Hit him, hit him hard…"
Ethan Brooks didn’t let up, circling to change direction. Just as Ross tried to get up, he was kicked to the ground again by another lightning-fast strike.
"Do you still dare to say Chinese people aren’t good enough!"
Ross tried to use brute force to drag him down, but he couldn’t even touch him. His strength was useless, and he could only take the beating passively.
After just a few blows, he couldn’t get up anymore.
Only then did Ethan Brooks pick up his clothes from the ground and silently put them on.
William Harris and Logan Wright immediately came over, raising their hands to him, saying, "Ethan Brooks, well done."
Lena was also cheering on the side.
……
About two months later, the special forces at the Hunter School began their first real combat mission: striking at a drug cartel in the Amazon River basin.
Ethan Brooks only participated in the initial assault, barely managing to kill a drug trafficker. Then he found a secluded spot, took out his M200 sniper rifle, and began sniping the cartel’s terrorists from a distance.
With his previous experience of killing and the military skills brought by his abilities, he had developed a strong resistance to killing—at least he wouldn’t vomit anymore.
Now his marksmanship was excellent, especially with the M200 sniper rifle—almost every shot was lethal.
The cartel members ahead fell one after another, while the area was already surrounded by special forces from various countries at the Hunter School. They hurriedly got into their vehicles, preparing to escape with the drugs.
William Harris made full use of his protagonist’s aura, leaping from the second floor onto a truck carrying drugs. Before he could react, the trafficker on the roof instantly pointed a gun at him.
According to the original plot, this should have been his chance for close combat with the trafficker, and he was ready for it. But all he heard was a bang, and the enemy in front of him had already fallen.
