Chapter 11

"Alright!" Angelina Jolie agreed immediately. "As long as you can get me what I want, my bodyguard will bring over five thousand dollars right away."

Matthew Carter looked up at Angelina Jolie again. She wasn't the type of woman who's all looks and no brains; that last sentence was clearly a warning, hinting that her bodyguard was nearby.

"Deal!" Matthew Carter extended a hand. "It's a deal!"

But Angelina Jolie had no intention of shaking hands, so he awkwardly withdrew his hand and said, "Wait here, I'll go now."

Matthew Carter put the DV camera into a tote bag, took off his jacket and covered it, then quickly headed to the entrance of the estate.

"Why are you back again?" The guard at the gate stopped him. "Didn't you already drop the person off?"

"Hey, buddy." Matthew Carter pointed to the Ford car visible in the distance. "The company told me to wait over there, but there's no restroom, and I need to take a dump. Can I use your bathroom?"

Earlier, when Matthew Carter drove in, he had already interacted with them.

The guard looked at the tote bag he was carrying.

"My clothes," Matthew Carter said openly, lifting the bag, "and a roll of toilet paper."

The guard waved him in. "Go ahead, walk along the driveway to the fountain, turn right for about two hundred feet, that's the bathroom."

"Thanks." Matthew Carter entered the estate.

"Don't wander around!" the guard warned.

"Don't worry."

Matthew Carter walked toward the fountain in front of the villa, ready to take a risk. If he could really get some footage, he'd have the leverage to bargain with Angelina Jolie.

Chapter 6: Unequal Agreement

The music gradually faded, and the villa was shrouded in darkness. Matthew Carter slipped out from the side door, immediately turned off the DV camera, and, using the light from the streetlamp, saw someone approaching ahead. He quickly ducked behind a bush, avoiding the security patrol. Only then did he put the DV camera into the tote bag, cover it with his jacket, and look around warily. The area was quiet, so he hurried toward the estate gate.

Scenes he had secretly witnessed in the villa's banquet hall flashed through his mind, and he couldn't help but sigh with envy, "Now this is living!"

Jonny Lee Miller taking on six sexy women by himself—what a wild scene!

"These bastards really know how to have fun!" Passing the fountain, Matthew Carter no longer bothered to hide and walked along the driveway toward the exit. "One guy with six girls is such a waste!"

He shook his head. These rich and famous Hollywood stars really lived the good life!

Soon, Matthew Carter reached the estate gate and waved to the guard. "Thanks, buddy!"

It had only been about ten minutes in total, so the guard wasn't suspicious. He nodded and said, "If I need you to pick someone up, I'll let you know in advance."

"Sure! No problem!" Matthew Carter replied quickly.

He exited the estate through the small gate beside the guard and walked toward the Ford van. This job had gone off without a hitch—pretty smooth.

At the car, Matthew Carter opened the door and got into the driver's seat. Angelina Jolie immediately looked at the tote bag in his hand. "Did you get it?"

Matthew Carter didn't answer. Instead, he took out the DV camera, flipped open the small screen, turned it toward Angelina Jolie, powered it on, and hit play. The footage was explicit, with wild screams echoing nonstop.

"Alright!" Angelina Jolie's face looked terrible. "I'll have someone bring the money over."

With that, she pulled out her phone to make a call, but Matthew Carter stopped her. "Wait, Miss Jolie!"

Angelina Jolie looked over, her thick eyebrows tightly furrowed.

Matthew Carter turned off the DV camera and said weakly, "Besides the five thousand dollars, I have one very small request."

He glanced at Jolie and tried to sound as gentle as possible. "It's really small."

Angelina Jolie looked at the DV camera in Matthew Carter's hand and spoke coldly, "Say it!"

"Well, Miss Jolie," Matthew Carter carefully chose his words, not wanting to ruin everything, "I'm also an actor, just a nobody, not even close to someone like you. I... haven't had any work in a long time."

Angelina Jolie's face grew even darker, as if she wanted to say something, but Matthew Carter quickly said, "Please, let me finish, I beg you!"

Regardless of whether Angelina Jolie was listening, he sped up his speech. "I just want to ask if you could, at the right time, help me get a job."

"Impossible!" Angelina Jolie refused outright. "I'll have someone bring you the money, but you're too greedy!"

Matthew Carter knew she misunderstood and quickly explained, "I'm not asking for a named role, or even one with lines. I just want to appear on camera, even as a background extra!"

He was extremely careful with his words, his tone utterly sincere, making it clear he was only asking, afraid Jolie would take it as blackmail.

You can't get everything at once. If he asked for too much, Angelina Jolie would never agree. This crazy woman might not think like most people, but she wasn't actually insane.
