Chapter 10

“Bang!” A gunshot rang out, and William Carter didn’t even blink. Four bloody holes suddenly appeared in the head of that Soul Group brute, as two bullets almost simultaneously pierced through his skull.

His massive body swayed twice, his face twisted in a ferocious grimace, and finally, unwilling and resentful, he plunged headfirst into the sea.

Several speedboats sped over. On the leading boat, a man stood tall among the crowd, holding a pitch-black pistol in his hand. Behind William Carter, another man also held a gun. These two were none other than the sharpshooters Henry Bennett and Golden Eye.

As the brute was shot and fell into the water, the two instinctively glanced at each other and exchanged a knowing smile.

Golden Eye secretly admired Henry Bennett’s marksmanship. Hitting an enemy’s head from a stable warship was nothing special, but Henry Bennett managed to accurately shoot the opponent in the head from a fast-moving speedboat at such a distance—his shooting skills were truly extraordinary.

“I... we... surrender...【Japanese】.” The remaining seven Soul Group members, with a warship in front and dozens of Blood Kill members behind, had lost all will to fight. How could they dare resist any longer? ‘Smartly’ and helplessly, they chose to lay down their arms and surrender.

They dropped their weapons, raised their hands together, and signaled their intentions to William Carter and the others.

“What did they say?” William Carter turned and asked the person beside him.

Someone who understood Japanese quickly replied, “Brother Dong, they said they surrender.”

William Carter sneered and said, “I thought the Soul Group were all tough guys, but it turns out there are cowards among them too.”

The man blinked and asked in a low voice, “Brother Dong, should I translate your words for them?”

William Carter waved his hand and said, “No need for that!”

Chapter 5

The man was startled and looked at William Carter in confusion.

William Carter nodded at Henry Bennett, casually pointed at one of the Soul Group members, then took a lighter from his pocket and lit the cigarette in his mouth.

Just now, because the danger hadn’t passed, he hadn’t dared to light a cigarette. On the pitch-black sea, a glowing red cigarette tip was an obvious target and could easily attract a deadly bullet at any moment. William Carter was always cautious, as he always had been.

After watching his actions, Henry Bennett raised his pistol and coldly pulled the trigger six times in a row. Six bullets, even colder than he was, pierced through six people’s heads.

The still-warm corpses either fell into the sea or collapsed onto the speedboat, leaving only one man standing there dumbfounded. At this moment, the fear of death had completely taken over his nerves and numbed his mind. His companions’ blood splattered on his body and face, utterly shattering his will. William Carter gave him a cold glance and said to those beside him, “Take him onto the ship. I have questions for him.”

That Soul Group member was almost dragged onto the warship by a big man. When the man let go, he collapsed onto the deck, his eyes wide with terror as he looked around at everyone.

William Carter said to the young man who understood Japanese, “Ask him where the speedboats came from.”

The young man nodded and translated William Carter’s words into Japanese for him.

Upon hearing this, the man shook his head in panic, indicating he didn’t know. William Carter cursed inwardly and said to Golden Eye, “He’s yours now.” With that, he climbed up the rope ladder on the warship, jumped onto the speedboat where Henry Bennett was, and headed back to Jile Island.

On the way, Henry Bennett asked, “Brother Dong, what do you think about this Soul Group ambush?”

William Carter took a drag on his cigarette and said, “The Soul Group came by speedboat, so their departure point must not be far from Jile Island. The closest land to us is Australia.”

Henry Bennett asked in surprise, “Could there be Soul Group members hiding in Australia?!”

William Carter said, “It’s possible, or it could be another organization. As long as we pry open that guy’s mouth, we’ll know everything.”

Henry Bennett sighed and shook his head. “I didn’t expect so many remnants of the Soul Group to still be around after their collapse.”

“Hmph!” William Carter narrowed his eyes and let out a cold laugh.

Once ashore, a young man standing by the shore quickly walked up and respectfully handed William Carter a two-foot-long sea fish, saying, “Brother Dong, this is what you wanted.”

William Carter took it, felt its weight, and cheerfully patted the young man’s shoulder. “Good work. Go back and get some rest!”

The young man, flattered, quickly bowed and said, “Thank you, Brother Dong! Thank you, Brother Dong!”

Just before parting with Henry Bennett, William Carter suddenly remembered something, called him back, and whispered, “Old Sen, call Golden Eye and tell him that after he’s done questioning, finish the guy off. Don’t bring him back to the island. As for those speedboats, sink them all. Don’t leave any bodies floating on the sea.”

Henry Bennett nodded. “Brother Dong, I understand!”

When he returned to the villa, Linda Parker was still awake, wearing pajamas and sitting on the sofa in the living room, watching TV while waiting for William Carter. Seeing him return, she stood up, looked him over, and asked, “Wen Dong, where did you go?”

William Carter lifted the fish in his hand and smiled, “Fishing!”

Linda Parker glanced at the dripping sea fish in his hand, not suspecting anything. She rolled her eyes and said helplessly, “Fishing at this hour?!”
