These are all the terms I can think of for now. It’s not even two thousand words, and my scalp is tingling, feeling awkward and frustrated. I want a late-night snack, I want breakfast, I want to explode.
Finally, two thousand words. Thank you, everyone. See you at ten for the main story.
Volume One
Chapter One: Former Prodigy
“Welcome to Honor of Kings. The enemy will arrive on the battlefield in 5 seconds. Please get ready!”
The grand in-game voice echoed throughout the massive arena, instantly igniting the excitement of the live audience, who cheered and shouted for their favorite teams, creating a deafening roar. The commentators Logan Bennett and Dylan Bennett, present at the scene, were also swept up by the atmosphere, their voices growing excited and passionate: “Hello, viewers! We are live at this year’s KPL Autumn Grand Finals, the deciding match between the Zhongnan team and the Tianze team. I am commentator Logan Bennett.”
“I am commentator Dylan Bennett.”
“This season’s KPL has truly been spectacular, and now we’ve finally reached the last moment. Even during the BP phase, I could feel the tension and pressure as if two master swordsmen were dueling at their peak. Dylan Bennett, did you feel the same way?” Logan Bennett continued. (BP: Abbreviation for BAN/PICK. BAN means to ban, PICK means to select.)
“Absolutely. The BP from both sides has been a back-and-forth exchange of moves, already incredibly exciting.”
“But there’s one move from the Zhongnan team that I don’t think surprised anyone, and that’s Brian Bennett’s Li Bai being banned again.”
“Of course. We’ve always known that the Li Bai used by regular players and the Li Bai used by pro players seem like two different heroes, but this season, we’ve discovered a third kind of Li Bai—and that is Brian Bennett’s Li Bai.” Dylan Bennett introduced solemnly.
Brian Bennett’s Li Bai!
Sitting in front of his computer watching the live broadcast, Adam Bennett couldn’t help but feel his blood boil at such praise, because the one who played Li Bai above all others was his own older brother.
“Yes, I don’t even know how to describe or define Brian Bennett’s Li Bai anymore. I can only give you one statistic: when Brian Bennett gets Li Bai, the Tianze team’s win rate is 100%. That alone is enough to show how terrifying Brian Bennett’s Li Bai is.” Logan Bennett spared no effort in praising this rising star, as Brian Bennett’s performance was simply too outstanding.
“So in a sense, I think Brian Bennett can just give up on Li Bai, because no team will ever let him have it.” Dylan Bennett laughed.
“Yes, so in today’s deciding match, we see that Brian Bennett has ended up picking Damocles as the jungler.”
“Hmm… Damocles is a very versatile hero, able to initiate fights and not too dependent on gold. Choosing Damocles as the jungler probably means he’ll be giving up some experience to the damage dealers.” Dylan Bennett analyzed.
“The match has now started. After making contact, both sides are just probing each other, with no clashes breaking out—so it’s a pretty peaceful opening.” Logan Bennett began commentating on the match.
“On the Tianze team’s side, the blue buff went straight to the mid laner, and the red to the marksman… Wow, I just said the jungler Damocles would probably give up some experience, but I didn’t expect him to give up this much!”
