Chapter 1

A disciple of Dragon Tiger Sect, Thunder, accidentally broke the restriction once set by the founder Master Bolton while practicing, and obtained the sect’s treasured artifact—the Spirit Suppressing Pearl. However, due to mishandling the pearl, the spiritual energy within a hundred miles of Dragon Tiger Mountain gathered into his body, causing him to explode and die.

The pearl protected Thunder’s consciousness, allowing him to transmigrate to the body of a fallen young master in the Ceylon Principality on the continent of Atlantis.

The physique of people in this other world is different from that on Earth. No matter how Thunder cultivates, the energy that gathers in his dantian is always magic power, not true essence.

However, due to the obstructive effect of the Spirit Suppressing Pearl, Thunder is unable to cast magic no matter what he tries. In the end, he is forced to use the talisman-drawing techniques of the Talisman Sect to inscribe magic scrolls.

Techniques like “flowers falling like rain” and “talisman within talisman”… these various talisman arts make the casting of magic scrolls strange and unpredictable, no longer the single attack method common across the continent.

Chapter 1: Wretched Creature, Oh Wretched Creature

As the sixty-first generation outer disciple of the Talisman Sect of Dragon Tiger Sect, Thunder naturally knew exactly what the unremarkable stone chamber before him was.

The three characters “Benjamin Bolton” were carved right on the stone wall in front of him. In the entire Dragon Tiger Mountain, no one else would dare to write these three characters so boldly!

Could this really be the legendary place where the founder Master Bolton ascended to immortality? Although the stone chamber before him was old and neglected, there wasn’t a single sign of decay. Even when Thunder accidentally broke the restriction while practicing, there was not the slightest disturbance.

It seemed that too much time had passed; otherwise, with Thunder’s meager power, he would never have been able to break the founder’s restriction.

Thunder’s mind raced. Should he report this to his master and the sect leader now, or should he go in and take a look himself first? With the Talisman and Qi Sects fiercely competing, and himself being only an outer disciple, if he could get whatever was inside first and then offer it to his master, he would surely earn his master’s favor and perhaps even learn new talisman inscription methods.

Having made up his mind, Thunder lowered his head and entered the stone chamber.

Abundant spiritual energy surged madly into Thunder’s body, making every inch of his skin feel refreshed. Thunder believed that, aside from the ethereal Penglai Immortal Realm, there was probably nowhere else in the world with such dense spiritual energy. The founder truly lived up to his name—just a single restriction could seal away so much spiritual energy.

The stone chamber was small, without even a bed—only a meditation cushion.

Looking around, Thunder didn’t find any magical treasures or valuable items left by the founder, and, disappointed, walked toward the meditation cushion.

After all, this cushion had once been used by the founder. If he took it out and offered it to his master, the old man would surely be delighted.

Before he could touch the cushion, a breeze stirred by Thunder’s movement had already blown it to dust.

“This…” Thunder was a bit dumbfounded. In his excitement, he had forgotten that the cushion was just an ordinary object, left here for nearly two thousand years and bound to be fragile.

Just thinking of his master beating his backside with a board made Thunder swallow nervously.

He absolutely couldn’t let his master find out about this!

He blew hard a few more times, simply turning the cushion into powder, leaving no evidence behind.

Hmph! Thunder was just about to go out and report this great discovery when his gaze was drawn to a bead in front of him.

The bead had originally been pressed under the cushion, but thanks to Thunder’s actions, it was now fully exposed.

What was this? Thunder curiously picked up the bead, and in an instant, a sudden change occurred. With the bead in Thunder’s hand as the center, the surrounding spiritual energy surged violently toward it. The energy swirled around the bead but could not enter it. With Thunder standing nearby, the energy seemed to find a breakthrough point and rushed into his body through all his acupoints.

“Ah!” In an instant, blood streamed from all seven orifices of Thunder. He felt as if he was about to burst apart. The spiritual energy he had once desperately sought through cultivation had now become a deadly curse!

On Dragon Tiger Mountain, the sky changed, thunder roared on a clear day, echoing through the heavens! Countless figures rushed over, led by two especially powerful individuals, their bodies surrounded by spiritual energy, exuding an immortal aura. Even so, the two were pale with fright at the strange phenomenon on Dragon Tiger Mountain.

In just a moment, Thunder sadly realized that the power he had cultivated for years was gone in an instant. Worse still, the rampaging spiritual energy inside him had shattered his meridians.

The bead’s light grew ever brighter, dazzling to the eyes.

With a bang, the gathering of spiritual energy finally reached its limit. Standing at the very center of the vortex, Thunder was instantly blown to pieces. In a flash of intense light, the bead also vanished without a trace.

The spiritual energy that had gathered now lost its anchor and instantly rushed outward. The wild, intense energy became a tangible force, blowing the disciples in all directions. The howling wind raged for a long while before Dragon Tiger Mountain finally returned to its former calm.

Moments later, two people entered the stone chamber. Seeing the floor covered in bones and blood, their faces turned ashen.

“Wretched creature! How could you recklessly disturb the place where the founder ascended?” One of them calculated with his fingers, then spoke furiously.
